No issues with the game disconnecting. You get the option of single player or multiple along with being able to choose the level of difficulty.
Some other games give what felt like non random hands but not this one. You can play offline or online in multiple game rooms. Perfect spades game!
Hardwood Spades is an excellent time killer but challenging as each hand makes you think in different ways to accomplish what you want.

We love playing Hardwood Spades. We love card games but our husband doesnt play cards with us. With Hardwood Spades we can play cards without an in-person player at the table!

This is a cult. Guides are racist and they show up and change the name that you paid for because they feel like it. One of the guides name is kim and thats our name . We dont need to change our name for her. The other guides are bullies.
There seems to be an avenue whereas people with webcams cheat. Hw staff does nothing about it, and claims that its impossible for players to cheat. Hw staff is full of liars.
Had a hard time finding this free version and instead have the paid one. What’s frustrating is that the community is very closed and full of bullies who literally stalk and assault, verbally and through teaming up and targeting play in order to pick winners and losers, especially with anyone new who rises in the ratings rank. Why does this matter, it’s only a game after all, right? Because when one pays, and rankings are part of the deal, to see a select few literally harass and target others and get zero help for it from Hardwood itself means they encourage the mistreatment of their PAYING CUSTOMERS! STOOOOOOPID business model! Consider this analogy: you are a franchise owner for a buffet type eatery. You open it in a small town. Small town starts to grow, but locals don’t want their slice of pie invaded by newbies. So, when anyone new enters to eat, they are called fat, ugly and are given only what’s leftover in the trays. Soon, the new customers move ELSEWHERE, and the locals have the place to themselves again, and your business fails to grow. We were on Hardwood years ago and quit due to the bullying. We come back on, can’t find but the subscription version, and decide to pay for it by the month. After a few weeks, we realize the same mean folks who were on there when we left are yet playing, mean, mouthy and abusive as ever! Us being us, we don’t take it laying down, and become a moving target for them as they use their different nics to play and mess up games they enter, complete with verbal mocking. By "disliking" us, and getting others to play along, we’re stopped from entering games, meaning it takes forever to get enough people of a similar rating to join the "table," as it were. Adding to the frustration is the ability to vote people out of game easily which also affects the rating as usually the bot taking the seat loses. Again, it shouldn’t be an issue, ratings, but since that’s part of the way Hardwood operates, people doing that do it knowing it’s a way to mess with other players and frustrate them making playing Hardwood games ANYTHING but mindless fun. Look, our kids play on serious gaming sites like Play StationNetwork and XBOX and don’t even face this type of verbal assaults, this despite the sort of games being played are of the supposedly "violent" variety that are accused of ruining our society by creating aggressive youth! On these networks, ANYTHING reported gets dealt with asap, thus stopping evil, violent and aggressive behavior from snowballing into a real world issue! Given the amount of money that gets dropped in order to play on these networks, from consoles to the games to the add ons to the subscriptions itself, I’d say those managing these gaming platforms are pretty smart: people paying good money aren’t going to keep doing so if they are treated like pond scum by the owners! Hardwood games are essentially JUST electronic BOARD AND CARD GAMES, but guides let the abusive comments from long time users slide. That’s not just wrong, it’s plain dumb, from a business perspective. Now, at this point the reader of this review will want to say, "then quit playing!" "Cancel your subscription!" and other such comments. To which we say, "Is that what you’d do when things on Twitter, Facebook, Amazon or at ye olde Target store don’t go your way, or wanting to continue tweeting, posting and shopping do you seek to get resolved what’s bothering you?" That’s the way we look at this situation, and what we expect from any company where we spend our money. Hardwood: Get. It. Together and stop allowing users to act abusively to new members, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO PAY TO PLAY!
We like playing cards we like playing spades. But the players on this app take the fun right out of it.
But something went wrong.. When Im able to sign into the server. It just stays at the connecting to server what should we do???
Its great us old school spades players can enjoy actual social games. Unfortunately there is no reporting system!! Players cheating? Too bad! Players threatening and harassing people? Too bad!! So if you enjoy your sanity, dont waste your time and especially dont waste your money!!

Hi, we have had a version of this app on our ipad for years. Downloaded the new version yesterday. Wish we hadnt. First too much fanfare. Sparkly cards. Abnormal card movement. We have uninstalled and reinstalled. Wont work. Then when we tried to used updated app it froze our screen several times. Went to Silvercreek site to download old version. We have been unable to open a dmg file. Which means we cant install an older version. Id like to keep the app if we can go back to a previous version. Please advise. Thanks.

Hardwood games makes a solid game! We really enjoy everything about this game. Originally played it on our Amazon fire stick and was bummed we couldnt play on our phone. Searched other apps that didnt compare when we realized there is a phone version as well! Deleted everything else as this game is flawless. Love the ambiance, music even the little details like the bells ringing on the default board and rain on others. Im still learning about fooms. We usually play on Hard difficulty solo and love the challenge!
