We.ve played a few and this is one of two Backgammon apps with a fair and balanced A.we. Engine. Wish there was an option to not use avatars.
The Apple TV version is overly sensitive. When you try to select a piece its very easy to accidentally select one of the menu options. Its very frustrating and difficult to select the piece that you want.
We've been playing Hardwood Backgammon since it first came out for PCs. Never had a problem with backgammon or any of the other Hardwood games (Apps).
Love all the Hardwood games. Have been playing them for years.
This game is real fun because you get to play with other online players. We also like the beach theme as well. Enjoy playing.
We've been playing backgammon our entire adult life and have tried many online versions. This one is our favorite.

The game is so rigged. Get the free version and play with ads. 99% of the time the roll is not in your favor. Trust us.
We've played just one other backgammon app and thought that one was mediocre, but this one is terrible. You have to hit the device so many times to make your moves it's ridiculous. It has a very slow touch response as well, making this app unplayable to us. We deleted immediately.
This is the best looking and user friendly of the backgammon apps we have tried. However, the MAC version we have on our MBPro overheats the machine, and in much the same way, this one crashes constantly. This needs to be updated! First suggestion, pls make sure that app retains data after crash. At least that way you can continue a game or three game series, etc. Without starting over completely. Second, just plain FIX IT. Frankly, we play anyway. We'd much prefer, however, to stop when we feel like it instead of after the 3rd or 4th frustrating crash. Thanks.
Nothing random about the dice rolling. Not a fun game.
The game is one of our favorite games on Xbox, and we specifically looked for this version on the iPhone. Sadly, on the iPhone, the touch screen reactions are terrible, the game lags, and you have to pay for avatars, boards, and pieces. So disappointed; we play this on Xbox all of the time and it is great, their iPhone version leaves much to be desired. Another annoying thing is that you cannot play iTunes and game at the same time!!! :-(.
