We really like this gamethings are easy to see and the soundtrack and graphics are spooky in parts. Its a lot more atmospheric than most games like this. Awesome!
We went a little crazy with the New Year’s clearance sale and bought myself a bunch of games. As we’re playing through them now, we have to say that so far most have been big disappointments. Not this one! While we agree with some of the reviewers who say that many of the puzzles are less challenging than typical, not all are snoozers. The story is fun all the way through the bonus chapter. We liked the spooky overtones and the "gotcha" moments that pop up through the play. The music supports and adds to the storyline. In all, it’s an entertaining way to pass a rainy afternoon.
We love this game! The trial was awesome and we wanted to play more. But $6.99 is way to expensive. Very disappointed cause we can’t finish the game. :(
We’ve played a lot of BFs games but this one had Honestly been the most intense one we’ve played. It’s def corny Sometimes but hey at least they’re trying to make it creepy. Time of fun, played all the way through, bonus and secret rooms. Way worth it!
This is one of the good adventure games!
Pretty good game… Dont play in the dark. Gotta say, sometimes logic is a tad lacking, but Im not here for a degree. Its fun. Dont be afraid to use the map to see what might be next. Some of the puzzles are quite skip-worthy.
We thought it was fun, something in every corner, keep us interested.
We had to double check if we bought the game by mistake. We’re still playing. Also when we see Elephant games we know it’s usually darn good. We’re just not crazy about blood.
This is one of the good ones. The mini games have a purpose. We think we own almost all of the games and this rises to near the to.

We haven’t found a game from Big Fish in ages that we wanted to buy. But, we finally found one! We played the free selection and enjoyed it quite a bit. And, it lasted a long time, too. It’s HO scenes are good. It’s puzzles are varied and not too easy to do, for the most part. So, thank you for, finally, offering a good game at a reasonable price! We look forward to continuing it. Mark it sold!

This is a good hidden object game. 4 and a half stars only losing 1/2 as some objects are impossible to find due to being blocked by parts of the game menu. For example in a couple scenes the hint button is ON TOP of an object you need to find. Very long game though and we enjoyed the extra rooms and bonus chapter and it kept things going. Wish the puzzles were a bit harder, we played on advanced mode and still had puzzles take less than a minute to solve. Cant wait to find another good one like this!!

What a great game, it was everything a game should be! The scenes were spooky and the story was interesting. The puzzles were good also, challenging and unique, and if a puzzle was just to hard; you could skip it. There were many scenes to go through, so you really got your moneys worth. We cant wait to play it again, it was so much fun.

Loving the sound effects and the scary pop ups. It keeps us intrigued, like watching a scary movie.
A bit boring but most of the series of great so Id be worth it if you play them all.
Too much going back and forth. The game is OK, but Im not that fond of creepy. We like that there are morphings, petals and photos to collect and the graphics are good. So, we will give this game four stars.
Since this is a Haunted Hotel, it is shorter than average. Since its made by Elephant, its an amulet-fest. But the spooky and effective touches elevate this game beyond just another game in the series. You really get drawn into the creepiness. No glitches. Hops are list, silhouette,and matching pairs. The puzzles are nicely done but most are easy. Solid 4 star game!
We played part of the free trial. What we have played of the game is good; however, there are outlines around many objects in most of the scenes. These outlines are so numerous that they clutter up the screen, distract from the gameplay by highlighting things that are supposed to blend in, and give away the location of objects in hidden object scenes. The gameplay itself is just fine, but the outlines put a damper on things by taking some of the mystery and horror out of this mystery and horror game.
All of these games are the same- nice graphics but everything else is boring. Even this one from Elephant, and they tend to be the better ones these days…
The hidden objects screens are way too dark…. Actually most of the scenes are too dark.
There have been a number of games we’ve purchased from big fish, this being one. We went to download to play again after some time and it says we need to purchase! We’ve OWNED this game for years. Big fish, please get your files together!!
Game started off well, but soon after we did the in-app purchase every attempt to play gives us a black screen. All gone game. Sad. We tried all ways to start and restart. Shut off iPad. Still dead. Loser.
We didnt give it 1 star because we really enjoyed playing the game, however after we purchased the full version, there are suddenly no available hints, no tasks, nowhere new for us to go. The game basically just stopped and we cant progress further after we paid for it.
We were enjoying the game and decided to pay for the full version. Now we cant proceed to the next room and theres no current task listed. What do we need to do to fix the glitch?
Sigh. Despite the clear, crisp graphics, the haunting themes and so much potential….. It falls flat. While playing the trial it’s just not up to the standard I’d expect. It’s just no where NEAR as challenging as I’d expect and definitely not worth more than $2.99….. If that. Sorry. Issues: 1) Going back and forth between scenes just to retrieve the items? Really? BORING. 2) Painting the picture: normally one of our favorites, we became frustrated when trying to color the smaller objects, it wouldn’t recognize it and recolored the adjacent larger area – enough that we almost skipped it. 3) we were excited when we saw the collection of six keys ….. Only to be let down that there WAS no mini- game….. It just opened. BORED. 4) Its a lot of running around without any clear game plan and lacking any excitement or well thought out mini- games. We’ll pass.
We played through the free trial and BOUGHT the game and now we can’t play the game because all we see is a black screen…. We would like a refund because we can’t even play it now…
It was fun the free trial, but as soon as we paid the full game the whole thing got frozen after the six-keys door and could not continue. Refund is obvious, but we would rather finish the game we paid for.
We played the trial with no issue, but as soon as we paid to unlock the game , the hint button stopped working. When we checked the map there were no spots highlighted where there were active tasks. What a ripoff. No matter where we tapped, there was nothing. Dont waste your money.
Was really enjoying this game until it crashed. Attempted to delete it and reinstall. Unfortunately it continued to crash.
So we purchased this game today and once it opened we cant move forward!
We just paid $7 for this game and after paying, the game would not move forward. We are stuck with Escape the locked door and there is nothing else to do. WHAT A WASTE!
NOT happy!!! Playing along – going well. Finished up free trial and bought game. Guess what???? Now we’re frozen – just after we PAID for the game. This is bull !
We played this game at least half way through on our iPad over several days with no problems. When we went back to play it, we clicked Continue Game. We are getting a black screen with no sound. We restarted our iPad twice to no avail. We went into the App Store and tried to Open it there. But it just points to the same Continue Game. Link. We dont want to uninstall the game and start all over at the beginning. This has never happened to us with any other game.
We played until you had to unlock the game and then it just stopped letting us go further. There was nothing more we could do. It kept saying get past the locked door, which we did. And then nothing. Waste of money when you actually pay and get nothing, but its free the first half.
How do we get a refund for this one? We just purchased it and now isnt working at all, unlike your other ones. Please refund!!!!
Like the game, but have had to restart it three times. When we stop playing and try to go back and continue, the screen is black.
We’re sorry to say we couldn’t even finish the free trial. Everything looks the same. We’ve seen the creepy house/hotel, the car trunk, the garden, the fireplace… All of it before in different games. It’s stagnant, in terms of any modicum of originality. Guess we’ll be on hiatus until the next Enigmatis, or until we see a glimpse of originality.
When in one of the first scenes there was a VW beetle with the trunk in the back… So sloppy…
