The developers did a very good job in creating this game! A lot of unique puzzles and tasks. Hidden object scenes are interactive. Character voices are believable, along with crisp and clear graphics. Teleporting map is provided, collectibles and morphing objects to find. Storyline is Very entertaining, with adventure and mystery thrown into the mix. Highly recommend buying this game. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year! Looking so forward to the upcoming year of games and more games. A Big Thank You to Big Fish & the Developer. Big Fish really did things up right this year through the holidays in providing us numerous games. So let’s all make our appreciation heard. Happy Gaming Everyone! Kdboots.

This game has really unique puzzles and hops, an interesting story, and a good length. There are skill/arcade games included in the puzzles. And as with all of those types of games, it usually takes a few tries to get it right, so dont be discouraged. Really unique gameplay! The problem, as always with this developer, is the actual game mechanics. You can quite easily back out of a scene on accident, because if you touch anywhere in the bottom third of the screen that will happen. There is a slight delay for most actions, so if you are trying to back out of a scene, it may seem at first as though it didnt register, and if you tap again, it will take you back 2 scenes. Also, some touch sensitivity issues, with using inventory items. There are coins to collect in each scene, for renovating your newly bequeathed crumbling castle. Also a morphing object in each scene, sometimes quite difficult to find. All of these locations can be found in the strategy guide. There is a secret Astor sepulcher, at the very end of the bonus game. You can find it to the left of the hawk dude either before you talk to him, or if you choose no to his question. The object you need is to the right, and the Michele Batten notes give the brick order. If you choose yes, the game ends and you can no longer find this room. In conclusion, we really enjoyed this unique game, real rating of 4.5 rounded down to 4 for the clunky mechanics.

This is a good game but it sometimes kicks us off during a puzzle and we have to go back in. Also if we drag an item to another item in a puzzle it won’t work after multiple attempts.

Crashes when we tap too fast in HOS instead of displaying penalty animation. Otherwise a nice, long game.

Puzzles and actions are often not explained. Items to be used are too tiny to see. Map is useless. Option to purchase comes too early to tell these are going to be problems.

That devilish dwarf is back, and so soon after the last installment! Leave it to ERS to give us a game that should have been enjoyable to play, but we felt there were too many negatives outweighing the positive aspects. You could customize settings. The game was quite lengthy with the bonus adventure. The graphics were excellent, albeit somber and dreary. Can ERS once in a while bring us gorgeous magnificent graphics? There was a marked teleport map. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had good variation, and there were some new and interesting puzzles/games. There were a plethora of tasks at each location. Collectibles included morphing objects and castle tokens to erect the palace. Sound good so far? Then read on. Once again, ERS has given us a glitchy buggy game, with touch screen sensitivity issues that made us constantly second guess myself. We never use a strategy guide and we rarely use hints, but when inventory application fails, we check myself and we would rather play without help. The storyline was the same banal one we always have in this series, with Saint-Germain wreaking havoc and threatening all who cross his path. The map did not instantaneously transport you, and indicated OBJECTIVES rather than tasks, so one must run around like a chicken without a head to find tasks to complete. Why give us a map if it isnt helpful; you can customize it so nothing is indicated if you desire. We want to know where a task can be done; we expect that for the price. Another quibble is that the game seemed dated because you had to make repetitive motions, when hammering nails, removing screws, sawing boards, etc. You all can see our point. We also found it difficult to assemble some of the complex items. Hit the wrong spot and it puts the item back in the inventory bar. We liked the full screen interface way better. You wouldnt accidentally hit the task list when you wanted the map, or the hint if you wanted the guide. Our review will stand at 3 stars and we are being generous! We wouldnt have bought this game if it wasnt a great sale price. But we sure am glad we played it before the new Labyrinths in case tomorrow brings us another dud! We are sorry if we put a damper on this game for you but we tell it like it is. Happy New Year to all, and happy gaming! UPDATE: Happily playing Labyrinths, and todays game we can confidently tell you to purchase because its from 4Friends. Their games are fabulous and usually have amazing graphics. We bought it without the trial and they have excellent quality assurance unlike this glitchy ERS bunny! Enjoy!

The game was not smooth to play. We were able to finish but it was confusing at times. The games with targets just didnt seem to work.

We like the game, but Im stuck in the vegetable hop. We have one more potato to pick up and it wont. This is going to hinder us further in the game, because whatever Im supposed to get from there, we wont have. We’ve tried picking it up several times, wont connect. We’ve searched your forums, no information. If we manage to move forward and this keeps happening , we would have wasted money on this. We’ve just deleted and reinstalled hoping it will fix the glitch. Ill be back if it doesnt. And because of this, we have to start all over again, not happy!

Ill finish the game (almost done) because it was only $2.99, but we were kind of bored with the storyline, the HOPs and many of the games. We also found that, as the game went on, the lag time between transitions increased. It wasnt a bad game; just not great.

Not great. The game is fun butEverything is too small! Some of the scenes where you have to find hidden objectsObjects are microscopic. The tools that you just have on hand just to play the game you cant even see the words of what they are because its microscopically small. Then there are not enough skip options. We have to sit through too much story without the option to skip.

We are having trouble getting past the "dated" atmosphere; very reminiscent of the very first HOP games: The worn graphics, major lag time via the spinning flake, (no doubt to entertain while waiting between scenes.. Ha) the old-pulsing style "grab hand" indicator (I last saw in the early PuppetShow series), items pulsing twice when located and wouldn’t be complete without the archaic "You’ve Found!" texts to congratulate you with each find…. Lol… It’s rather comical, but also frustrating when waiting for the unveiling of the newest "PREMIUM" Games …. Indicating a higher standard and caliber… That missed the mark. ——— Happy New Year from The Golden Gate.

Why are all the fonts so teeeeeny? The silhouettes for hidden objects are also so small we cant see them. We like the game, but if we cant see it we cant play it. Do you have a fix?

Graphics were dark, indescribable, and too cluttered. The puzzles were not that difficult if you could figure out the goal. Waste of time and money.

Game content and storyline are fine but lots of small irritations distract. Items in HOPs are in very small font and hat genius designer thought you can read tark red type on a dark background? For a touchscreen game there are a lot of hotspots that are quite insensitive to touches.

We found it to be not suitable for iPad. Slow scene changes, you might have to attempt something several (as many as 8-10) times before the game accepts what youre doing, and youll go back to a former scene many times on accident before you acclimate to the rather large touch areas theyve built (in one early scene youd backtrack if you touched the lower third of the screen.)Perhaps it wasnt tweaked for iPad, who knows, but its frustrating and frankly, at the end of the day, not worth the hassle. Decent graphics, animation, cant tell you about the story line because we havent finished and dont plan to. We’ve played a lot of these over the years, and this is the worst one with the touch zone issues.

It takes too many taps to get a response and the sensitive area in the HOPs can be so small that you miss it time and time again.

We were enjoying the game well enough, but at chapter 5 we were halted. When doing a hog, we are supposed to find bones, tho the graphic shows us that we need to find circular objects, and there are no bones, nor circular objects in the green graphic. When we hit hint, it tells us to get out if the hog. When we do get out, and hit hint, it tells us to get back into the hog. We are pretty unhappy about this. We will not start over.

Good story line mediocre graphics, the icons for the stuff you accumulate are so tiny you need a magnifying glass to see them! It lags behind sometimes, they had room in the window to make the images larger.!? Im using an iPad Pro 12. Otherwise would have gotten a strong 3 star if not for these issues. Not worth full price, maybe $1.99 @ most.

This game lags, is dark, graphic quality is missing and it feels outdated. We couldnt get past the first three minutes.

This game is extremely tedious. Give us more mind less arcade. And, lose the tedium.

Was fun to play until the game froze and now Im stuck. Could we get a fix please?

Found seeing the hanging scene every time we start just too objectionable. Yes – he gets pardoned. But it still reeks of capital punishment. And game wasnt that entertaining.

When you get to the puzzle after giving the cardinal his heart medicine, you cant get past the beginning of his story without being unable to progress. We will definitely not buy the full game, especially if this isnt fixed.
