Description

Play 1-on-1 Texas Hold’em anywhere. Play against a friend, or just versus your iPhone or iPod touch.

Easy and elegant touch controls keep the mechanics of the game simple and beautiful. (It’s even won an award! placing in the "Best App Ever" Casino Games!)

ONE PLAYER:

  • For one player, play against a smart iPhone opponent. Several AI personalities (with widely different styles and who all play advanced poker strategies) keep it fun and challenging even for expert poker players.
  • Beat each to earn their card protector to use in the game.

TWO PLAYER:

  • Awesome wireless play. You and a friend, each on your own iPhone or iPod touch.
  • GameCenter lets you play against anyone in the world!
  • Or use your iPhone or iPod touch like a chess board between two people to share and play on one device. Heads Up: Hold’em can either just deal the cards (letting you use real world chips) or both deal the cards and let you bet virtual chips onscreen against a friend.

FEATURES:

  • No Limit Texas Hold’em
  • Play with up to 50,000 chips. Choose your blinds, starting stack size, and how quickly the blinds increase. (In the Settings)
  • Easy and intuitive touch controls keep the mechanics of the game simple. Spin to set your bet amount, then push the pile of chips into the "bet" circle to place your bet. Or drag your cards to the center to fold. In two player games, simply slide the chip off your cards to peek.
  • Beautiful photographic images and realistic sounds make it feel right.
  • AI opponents vary from aggressive to careful.
  • Dozens of awards to earn and use as card protectors in the game.
  • "Peek Counter" prevents cheating in two player games.

Bug fixes

Heads Up: Hold’em (1-on-1 Poker) Reviews

New version much better. No longer crashes with the new Iphone OS.

A fun, fast-paced Texas Hold ‘Em app. We enjoy the sound effects provided by the app such as chips being placed, the user interface is very well done, and the protectors are a nice touch. Worth the $0.99!

Have been using it for years, loving it except the minor glitches with the last update 2 years ago, hopefully the developer will update it to the latest iOS.

Would be 5/5 if not for the crashes.

We agree with this review completely: our son hooked us up through the Game Center pre loaded app to play each other; the direct Bluetooth used to work but doesn’t anymore – please address. We can’t play with a family member, who is in the same room. Regardless of what we do it says connection lost. Please address ASAP. When playing against compute it is a 4-5* app.

Cant play online with our dad.

We love this app. The AI is beyond terrible. But the interface to play heads up with friends sharing the phone is great! Other than the freezing up every fu*king time!

Crashes often on IOS10.1. Used to be perfect.

Fun, two-player Bluetooth mode that occasionally works. The Bluetooth usually fails to connect and sometimes drops randomly. If they fixed that bug, I’d give it 4 stars. As it is, 2 stars.

App Bluetooth / wireless option wont work since a couple iOSs ago. Used to love it. Wish it could be fixed.

Wont turn on and accept invites. And turns off 1/2 way through game. Frustrating. Leaderboard banner across top wont disappear and blocks the send and cancel button. So all we can do to get rid of it is reboot. This game needs a lot of fixes FYI.

Please update app. The Bluetooth does not work with iOS 11.

Always crashes and never anyone on to play against!

This is a scam. Bluetooth won’t connect to another device. Can’t even play online. Horrible app. Do not buy!!!

Great practice they also have a PLO app.

Finally, someone came up with a Texas Hold’em app that comes very close to the technical accuracy of Apple’s original Texas Hold’em app. Flayers in this app are very well written and give you the playing experience of a real live opponent. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting tokeep their poker skills honed in between games.

Us likey :) limited of course to heads up. And it’s impossible to find a player over the game network to play with.

We like being able to play against computer non stop – this does not seem to be the ap that allows that.

We’re winning about 70% of matches, over the past 50 or so, against the AIs from the highest difficulty (final 4). In particular they seem to go nuts on the river with marginal hands when deep stacked. Don’t try to bluff much, just value bet them relentlessly and wait for them to go nuts.

This game is always crashing when you play online. The interface is great it’s and awesome app and concept. Sadly, the makers must have lost love for this app along the way. It hasn’t been updated in a very long time and there are serious holes in it. Would love to see the the creators take a little more pride in the product that they’re making money from.

Great game but awful online or Bluetooth with friends. App keeps crashing and when you reload the game the hole cards aren’t visible.

Fun to play. The AI is fine preflop, terrible post flop. Even at the high difficulty, AI never, ever bets flop and basically never folds. AI bets turn maybe 5% and calls a lot. AI bets river 95%. Recipe: raise large preflop for value, pot flop, evaluate turn based on stack sizes (AI folds turn a lot),raise or check raise river. You will win 80%+ vs all AI opponents.

This app is awful if you are trying to play a friend. Crashes every 5-7 minutes and doesn’t save the stack counts. Avoid this app! Would like a refund!

Love the variety of CPUs and very smooth controls.

Texas Holdem is our game for practicing cards. It played great on our iPhone 5. It offers a great interface. You can change the card deck, table top and the built in players are great.

Great app until IOS 7. Now Bluetooth does not work at all.

Very enjoyable and taught us a lot about poker play (at least for Texas Hold ’em).

Good for road trips, have to restart app after every game over Bluetooth for some reason. Besides that great app. We’ve got the 4.3 version.

For beginners, amateurs & experts!

Game cheats horribly with Maniac Mike. Be prepared to lose with hands that you are 98% winner with on the turn.

Great game love the player vs. Player!

There are tons of online Texas Hold-em apps out there; but this is a great option for some quick, fun play against the computer when you just have a few minutes to kill, not enough time to log into an online game, or when it’s just you and one other player. Fast and smooth–VERY well done!

Good AI especially maniac mike and a couple others.

Easy and fun. Good simulation and very entertaining. Our go to game in waiting rooms!

Easy and enjoyable. Would crash when we first got it. But now ok.

Very good app for one person playing. Good pactice with "AI’s" that have different teqmiques to learn.

Awesome app.. Love the speed and the play of the AI.. However the computer runs freakishly above AI EV when preflop.. Dominated hands always flop monster equity and they run far far above reality over hundreds of games. Fix that and it’s an A++

So why do we have the option to set 2 player game with 3k starting stack.. But always when we start the game it back to 1,500 Also why does it start the game .. Time running.. Chips at hand.. Action to us.. But wait no cards.. Uhmmm. Also it randomly just force closes the game. The look and graphics and UI is awesome.. But….

Random crash and no card showed. Very unstable for both wifi and bluetooth 2 players game. The only setting we can choose is starting blind. Stack size and Blind increase don’t work. It is always 1500 chips and increases blind per 3 hands. Not much better than FREE version.

Fun concept but horribly inconsistent connection on wifi against opponents. Completely frustrating.
