Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

What happened to the new game option? We always turned it off. Now we dont have a choice. We dont want to start a new game. We prefer to play with real people.

We play Hearts multiple times a day, and Ive used a vast number of the various apps. This one is our favorite: the graphics are the best, and the other players generally play fair and arent always gunning for us specifically. However, like many others, the shuffling leaves a lot to be desired, as we get nearly identical hands dealt to us over and over again. Great game overall.

You need to add the option for a player to subtract 129 points from his own score instead of automatically adding 129 to all the other players after shooting the moon. The way it is now a player can shoot the moon and lose, if he trails the leader by more than 129 and the 129 added on puts another player over 500. The add/subtract option has, to our knowledge, always been a feature of non-computer hearts.

The scoring in this hearts game makes no sense what so ever we have never seen anything like this.

We just started using this app. It seems to be very good.

Fast paced, very few ads, can play cards anytime.

We like the app in general. Our main complaint about game play is that it seems to deal us only really good or really bad hands, although passing is clearly a factor. Tried team play but found that our partners strategy did not take his teammate into account; he continued to play only for himself. And we wish there were a pass button instead of automatically passing on the 3rd selection: theres no way to change your mind without deselecting an earlier choice. Our gripe with the purchasing scheme is that we had to go through the motions of repurchasing the app to reinstall it, although we wasnt actually charged a second time. It should recognize that its already been purchased; the App Store knows it but the app doesnt (until you Buy it again). And the reason we had to reinstall is because the scoring system suddenly went nuts and started dumping huge numbers of points on us and the other players. We had no idea when the game was going to end because one player had 120+ points, we were getting hand scores like 46, etc.

We gave it 3 stars since the logic is solid Sad that you wont program an auto function when all points are gone or will be taken.

Prefer this Hearts version over others. Easier set up and superior graphics. Thank you.

It's a great app, as are the other apps by this developer! We would leave a more thorough review, but in the past week all the 300 reviews we've left over the past 7 years have vanished from the AppStore, so what's the point? We're only leaving this review to support the app and the developer, and to see if it shows up.

Great app. Love it. Play it all the time.

Very good game, with challenging play.

Excellent game play and very good graphics. However, the game crashes and restarts frequently for no apparent reason — especially when returning to the game from another app, even the App Store, which the game periodically sends us to, again for no apparent reason. This is especially annoying when we have a good game going and lose everything when we come back within seconds. This could be the best Hearts game in the App Store, and would deserve five stars if they fix this issue.
