What a great game!! It kept us occupied for days!! It has a few tough spots, but that just makes it better. We cannot say enough about how fun this game is!! The only bad part is that its over.
We actually bought this game a couple of years ago and we completely forgot about it and never played it. Recently, we stumbled upon it again and we decided to play it. The storyline was so intriguing and the graphics were great. We actually got attached to the characters and we loved the dynamic between Dan and Liz. The dialogue was very fun to go through and also hilarious. The game switches between characters really nicely in each chapter and we would love to maybe see a sequel to Dan and Lizs adventures.
Excellent challenging hilarious game. Unique story, lovable characters. Excellent game, one of the best we ever played. We just hope they will do a 2nd episode.

Very fun and memorable. Despite being older, its working well on our iPhone XS! Doesnt fill up the screen, which would be nice, but not a dealbreaker.

Fans of witty adventure puzzle games will love this, but we did experience a few issues with sound cutting out and crashes where we had to reopen the game.
This game was hard, to the point we had to consult a walkthrough/cheat sheet a couple of times. However, we really appreciate how intricate and interactive this game is in both the lite and full versions. The hints and so-called hints via dialogue gave the game depth. The idea of the storyline was creative. We hope you guys could make a game continuing this storyline or make a stand-alone story in the same universe as this one. The monsters and main characters were cool!
We cant progress any further in Chapter 2 because the corkscrew we picked up has disappeared from our inventory. Lame.
Nice game. But Im having trouble with the flower orchestra puzzle as it keeps crashing on us, using iOS 11.
We bought this game and as soon as we started playing it we loved it! But we made it to where we painted the sarcophagus and it wont let us leave the basement now… We really was looking forward to finishing this game, so we wouldnt buy it because you get so into it then cant finish.
Im stuck on the part where dan is trying to get one of the teleports to the temple of eternal illusion. For some reason it wont let us leave the boiler room. We’ve tried closing out the app and restarting but it still wont let us leave!! Please fix!!
This must not be compatible with newer OS versions as the game crashes in the exact same spot every time. Needs to be updated or removed from App Store.
We played this game on an iPhone 6+ This game, Hollywood Monsters, is actually a re-make/port of The Next Big Thing which was a sequel to the original Hollywood Monsters. But you dont need to play the first game to understand and enjoy this game. This was an amazing 8-9 hour (possibly 10 or 11 depending on how much you milk it) experience full of vibrant settings, colorful and memorable characters, wonderful homages to classic horror films, and puzzles and logic games that were tough enough to get the mind thinkingbut not too random or farfetched. To be totally illogical in context with the game. We especially loved the voice acting and dialogue which were smart, in character, and often humorous. It also pays to click on things multiple times as that often leads to new comments or even more detailed (and at times plot-expanding) dialogue. We also really loved how they incorporated the narrator as both a storyteller and hint giver. And as to hints, they are multi-layeredthe first hint is clear and helpful, but doesnt give much. Still stumped? The 2nd gives a little more detail. Not enough? The third (and usually last) gives even more detailbut you still have to figure it out yourself. All in all, we only used an internet walkthrough twice. Everything else we figured out on our own or used the in-game hint (and sometimes the hints are rather humorous and entertaining, too). Two things need to be mentioned though. First, a bugits a minor onein two instances, the voice actor/actress repeated words like a broken record (ex. What?). The game still progressed and the broken record effect would stop after a some seconds. The 2nd issue is a content thingthere is quite a fair amount of innuendo (nothing blatant, but still clear if youre old enough)so we would not give this to children.

ITunes has compiled various 15 Best lists for app games in their stores. This game should have undoubtedly made the cut. Great story, awesome graphics, interesting and challenging puzzles. Simply one of the best games out there.

We’re so happy we stumbled upon this and purchased it based on other reviews and some research we did… The graphics and cutscenes are gorgeous and movie worthy… The dialogue is razor sharp witty, funny and intelligent.. The puzzles are fun and can be funny at the same time… The hint system is truly a marvel too in and of itself… When you play the game, you’ll see what we mean… This is a top notch adventure and point n click game that is a must own for anyone who owns an itouch or iPad. PS. Please developers update game for iOS 10 per Apple request so game will continue to work on future iOS generations.

Very enjoyable game, doesn’t take itself seriously. Puzzles are mostly easy, but still fun. Would love to play more games like this one.
This is our ideal adventure/point + click game! It is entertaining and both story and puzzles have lots of variety. Never gets repetitive like hidden obj/adventure games can.

This should be a classic, right up there with the greats from Lucasfilm/LucasArts. Crazy, zany, great hint system, excellent voice acting, and more!! And it does work with iOS7 and 7.1. We played through it on an iPad Air. The only time it crashed for us was during the tango puzzle, but only when we got it wrong. The correct solution did not cause it to crash. That was also the most annoying puzzle, and the only puzzle we had to hit the web to solve. The opening trailer for the game gives you are a really good idea of what to expect. And we have never heard better voice acting than in this adventure game. The crazy setting and plot, the zany lines, etc. Made for a very memorable experience. It is a brilliant masterpiece that deserves to be considered a classic. You will not find a better adventure game in the App Store!
Love the game, the wacky characters. It does occasionally crash, though. However, the game usually saves progress correctly and reloads fast, so not a big deal.

We love adventure games and this is the best one we have played. The puzzles are challenging and the storyline is clear and fun for adult gamers. It is also nice to have a funny story rather than horror. The ending also cracked us up and completely made this purchase worth it. Also the game is a good length. We kept thinking it was ending and thena new chapter would appear. Linking the help feature to the story and having the story tracked by the side scrolling graphic organizer was a nice touch.
Never wrote a review before… But this game was amazing. After playing "YESTERDAY" we didnt think they would be able to impress us with hollywood monsters… GREAT STORY… GREAT ACTORS… GREAT VISUALS… THANK YOU!! Worth every penny!
