Extremely fun and addicting! Fun to play its a good way to pass your time.
We thought there would eventually be a Star Wars Holochess app but this is exactly what it would be!
Please update our chest wont open and the screen will freeze and we have to quit please fix.

Pretty slick game, but difficult moving & attacking; selecting squares not players is difficult. OH, and if your hands are cold… Use this game to heat up your phone (drain your battery).

The concept behind the game is fun and we would like to give it more stars but the execution needs work. The board has a tendency to float away or for the creatures to not show up making it impossible to play. The games are short but four victories later your waiting 90 plus minutes to play again because all four chest slots are full or you can continually pay money to unlock them to play again only needed to repeat a few minutes later. Chest take a minimum of two hours to unlock. Replacing the chest and wait time model and Changing it so you earned Points for purchasing boosters/chest for victories would be a better system as the game has nothing else for you to do while waiting. Conducting actions can be difficult because characters can get hidden behind others making it difficult to activate them and we havent found a way to rotate the board you also have to go into the menu to reset the board when it glitches or to change board size. They need a rotation button and their board size slide up on the screen or change to the finger pinch pull to make it easier to adjust during gameplay.
We cant say that we really understand the game or the draw. It seems to be a card game of some type. The monsters look really good, ala Star Wars Holochess, but the game is somewhat of a mess.
It looked awesome until it crashed and froze 1 minute into the game. Deleting until it can actually work.
This game looks so cool we downloaded and tried it twice! The game produces the game board using your fones camera… Unfortunately it usually produces a board so close-up that u cannot see the entire board, much like someone is shoving the board in your face. For that reason we find the game unusable… Which stinks because it looks fun!
Going to pass on letting an app have access to our camera… Will not let us play without access. So, straight to trash bin.
Game really needs an update. More complicated boards. And a chance to be the defender. Has gotten easy to win unless hugely over powered. Yawn had such high hopes for this game. Owe well.
The game is unbalanced, a low level player can end up fighting someone with two or three times the strength of your characters, you should be matched with someone close to your level so it is skill that makes the winner. Otherwise the game is interesting.. Needs some tweaking. We may or may not continue playing. Not all arenas are available even if you complete the requirements for them, there is random pairing with nonexistent opponents, A list of the whole leaderboard would be nice, all we can see is 2 above us and 2 below us.. Maybe we feel we can beat someone higher.. There is no option.. The game AI is dumb, fighting it is a joke sometimes.. We enjoy the game but it could be much more.. It has amazing potential.. But is flawed. Anyway Ill see where it goes.. Ok we are #3 now with 5000 plus points and now we see someone listed as # 0 who has 25000 plus points REALLY WHAT THE HELL… The game is wrong,, warped,, Im sorry we spent the time playing.. Our scale goes up to # 1… Not …0 DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME.
We get that ar games are a hard format to make and his is a really great game we had this on our old phone and it was new but this game has developed really well we just hope you work on back ground graphics and make the tile look like land instead of black flat surface and just bump on the graphics on the monsters and make the home screen look cleaner.

Cool game if we were to tell the developers how to improve it what we would recommend is creating evens that involve guilds teaming together and working against other guilds in a combine effort. For hitting certain tiers receiving certain points. Also creating new content and over all just improving game play.
If you love strategy, this game is really fun in the beginning. Overtime, unfortunately, you will start to notice that your skills dont matter. You soon realize that achieving victory means you also have to have good cards. Each card requires X amount of cards of the same type to level up to keep that particular card competitive as you grow through the ranks. To get new cards you have to either purchase them with in-game currency or wait for chests to open. Chests take hours to open. Opening them sooner requires in-game currency. In-game currency is accumulated at an exceptionally slow rate. To receive more of this currency you have to pay real money. So the formula, to simply put, is: Victory = good strategy + competitive cards; competitive cards = in-game currency; in-game currency = suicidally long wait times or real money. We’ve gotten to the point where we’ve plateaued. Im pretty good with the strategy, but its gotten to the point where we have a behemoth that has 10 HP vs an enemy who has one at 19+ and opponent has monsters that do 3x more damage than any of ours. Impossible to advance without better cards. Aside from certain strategies, the last lesson this game taught us is humility. You can try your best, exhaust all options, fight to the last card, but sometimes you really cant win; you must accept defeat and walk away. Ill check in from time to time but we can confidently say Im disenchanted.
Fun at first we played a lot.. Strategic moves gets the win but later we notice our opponents are 3 times stronger than ours so hardly a fair match. We decided to play more to get extra free gems but that only occurs every few hours so waiting around was a pain. We never made a purchase so after one day of extra playing we notice it said we’ve reached our daily limits to earn points. WHAT?! So In other words the only way to really compete in this game is to pay for extra cards for upgrades since the earnings on free plays have daily limits Onto the next game.
On our iPhone 7 this heated the phone up to such a point that the display darkened to reduce heat output. It got so dark we couldnt see anything, whether in game or out. In the end we had to wait for our phone to cool down. We’ve enjoyed the game a lot so we probably will try again when we upgrade in a year or two.
We’ve only had this game a few days and we never write reviews for games but we have to give credit where credit is due! Definitely worth the small bit of money to purchase. Its only got one small flaw like a previous reviewer said on scaling after setting the board which isnt that big of a deal just move back a bit its got a decent range you can move from after setting the board. Either way with some time , better looking and more variety of monsters and maybe and friend vs mode this could be and amazing game that Id definitely stay loyal to.
We’ve had a blast playing this game so far! Leveling up without buying a gem package is pretty slow. Even the lowest priced gem package goes a long way for speeding up progress though, so we appreciate that. Matchups are a little uneven. We find we go from easy/mild challenge to outclassed/impossible pretty quickly as we advance Biggest complaint is a bug in which we often dont get an earned reward chest even when we have an open chest slot It seems like the developer is pretty active supporting issues in the game, so we see myself playing this for quite a while. We look forward to updates and expansions.

Fun game, challenging, and surprisingly functional. Menu graphics are amateur-looking. Needs local multi-player to really get the holo-chess feel it’s going for. With those last two fixed it’s an easy 5 stars.
You know to be honest we like this game but it needs improvement. Our biggest objectiv concerns are: 1.) If you disconnect when you believe you will lose, you arent penalized. In fact the game doesnt register it. Keep disconnecting until u get that easy win. 2.) You arent playing a live person. Thats right, theres no chance in hell you are going first every single time. Also, why would the opponent auto attack your hero when it would end the match? Anywho thats our two cents, love the game but wish it was better…
It is very unbalanced as a new player we keep getting paired against people who have leveled all there monsters up making it nearly impossible for us to grow. How am we supposed to level our monsters when we keep getting paired against people who can one hit us but we have to attack them 4-6 times to take their piece off the board. Aside from this it is a really great game but it is really unfair and frustrating for new players since they cant advance.
We think its very fun and great game but needs a little more matchups need to be better more fair.
Got to the par where it says to select enemy tile, but doesnt work. Needs major improvements on functionality.
Great game we love it. Needs minor tweaks but is an awesome game battle chess has always been a favorite of ours and this one definitely delivers. Devs keep up the good work n thanks for the awesome game.
We love he game, its a fun new way to use AR(at least to me) however we do have an issue with it. The last three matches we’ve had that we won, when at supposed to take us to the reward screen it continues to say loading and never loads. Thats a bit of gold Im missing out on plus some chests. We let it sit on loading for an hour the other day, and it never loaded.
This game is amazing. It gives us the ability to do something we have dreamed of since we were little. Who didnt see Star Wars as a kid and want to play the holoboard game? We are definitely excited to see the game grow. We love the fact that there isnt an overbearing tutorial about opening chests and leveling cards. We get it, every game is like this now. Thank you for not treating your players like fools. Our two complaints are simple. One, we feel that the game registers placements a little too slow and there is no sign that the game is thinking. And two, we always dreamed of playing The Wookiee.
We have iPhone 6S Plus, when we start the game, the logos come (Happy giant and the Tippet studio) then a grid of small blue squares fills the screen and the background music keeps playing and nothing happens!! Please fix this!
This game is ok, and it has some potential, but for now its just boring. It sucked up ten percent of our battery in five minutes. There is little depth. Also, this game is extremely similar to clash royale. Theres chests, the card shop looks the same, and even the chest opening animation is reminiscent of clash royale.
The game is pretty interesting but there is no diversity of beasts.. Add more to this game and we might be able to talk about rating it higher..
We love this game! When you start there arent really any instructions but you figure it out quick so thats ok. Once you get into it though, its amazing! The combination of moving players on the board and attack strategies and leveling up cards, its all really cool. Graphics are also really amazing and the details just add to the experience. It brings together the nostalgia and familiarity of board games and card games with the excitement and sci-fi aspect of AR and space alien monsters. Overall its an incredible game and the best we’ve ever played!
If you want to get to the top of the leader board, you are going to spend 300+ hours to get to the top without buying anything with real money. How am we supposed to beat a guy whos champion has 20hp to our champions 10hp? Especially when our minions only do 3 dmg without any special bonuses. The games balancing needs fixed. When our minions only to 3 dmg and our opponents do 5 – 8 dmg you know theres a problem. If competitive gaming isnt your thing and you enjoy casual play, then this games a blast. When you play it enough and your ranking gets to around 200 thats when is starts getting unfair. UPDATE 11/23/17 They upped the time to unlock loot boxes you win from battle from 30mins to an 1hr. They also changed how much it costs to open these loot boxes too. If you dont want to wait an hour for the loot box to open, you have to pay gems to open it. They went from 3 gems to 5 gems. Keep in mind gems are very hard to earn in game without paying real money.
We’ve been playing for probably 3 days or so now and this game is actually pretty entertaining. Our only complaint is the board set up where a lot of the time the board will pop up really close so we have to awkwardly hold our phone up by our face just to see the rest of the board. We feel on the calibration before a match with board scaling it should allow you to zoom out and in rather than only being able to zoom in. Aside from that with patches and add ons via updates we can see this being a great game.
We’ve been playing this game for a few weeks and enjoyed the game play. There are a couple of inherited problems from other Dollars to advance games. Im at a stage where our king piece is halting game play. Our opponents are either so weak we can kill them in one round, or so strong its impossible. There is no middle ground on advancing. If you have played this game you can understand that opponents are either kings with 12 defense or kings with 31. What happened to the enemy imbetween at 20?. We havent found one yet in about two weeks. Our king is is level 12, so 31 is nearly impossible and 12 is too easy if you have the first turn.
Started playing a few weeks ago. Its a fun game with huge potential. There is a bug not allowing us to collect new chests so Im stuck.
This game has extremely simple controls, is fun to play, and is satisfying to win. The only complaint we have is that you cannot move the game board after you have tapped the screen after you press battle.
Please take into consideration of adding the campaign , and try to add events and more monster , we really like this game , but we dont play it do to the fact how you dont have enough time to unlock more monster or even better monsters , more or less.
