Run a classic Japanese diner in a story-focused shop simulation game!
The long-awaited sequel to the highly-acclaimed series is here!

In Hungry Hearts Diner 2, be the boss of a small eatery in a quiet
corner of 1960’s Tokyo. This casual restaurant management sim
comes jam-packed with story, and you’ll have a chance to both
catch up with old friends and meet new faces.

Grandma’s back with an all-new diner location but the same
delicious cooking…and a few new recipes, to boot!
Taste popular classics like curry, ramen, and miso soup, but
don’t forget to browse our selection of more retro and traditional
Japanese foods like natto, nikujaga, and okonomiyaki as well.
We’ve got a huge selection of tasty treats, and yes, even the
undisputed emperor of Showa sweets—fruit parfait!

But you’re not just here for the food, right?
…Right?

Okay, you are, but so is everyone, at first.
Stay a while, however, and Grandma’s garrulous manner
will soon have you as chatty as her other regulars.
They’re an odd bunch, and they all seem to have their
share of troubles. But after the third bowl of miso soup or so,
they’ll open up and reveal their stories, both joyous and sad.

Strap in for an all new set of tales, with some surprising
twists and turns along the way. And remember, everyone’s
got that one special meal they can just never forget.

Hungry Hearts Diner 2 also contains a number of side stories*,
where you can see familiar characters having additional adventures!
*Note: Some side stories are only available as paid DLC.

【Story】

On a tiny side street in a nameless little neighborhood sits an
old Japanese diner. Things are quiet here; old-fashioned
you might say. But of course they are. It’s Showa era Japan,
and the television is just starting to come into vogue.

Come on in, have a seat, and close your eyes.
Thunk thunk goes the steady beat of a knife chopping
veggies. Hisss; the sound of meat sizzling in a pan.
Getting hungry? Good, ’cause the food here’s sure to
warm your belly and leave you feeling nice and full.

Besides, the kindly old granny who runs the place needs
all the business she can get. She just opened the diner’s
doors the other day, and she’s busy as a bee trying to stay
afloat. Managing a successful eatery’s no easy task!

…Hmm, something about this old lady seems awfully familiar.
Didn’t she use to run a diner on the other side of town…?

Welcome to Hungry Hearts Diner!
It’s a cozy place, a place where regular folk gather ’round
worn wooden tables for a bite—and maybe some friendly
conversation, too. Here, you’ll find food to fill your belly
and stories that’ll warm your heart.

Thanks for coming, and we hope you enjoy your meal!

So, let me guess. The question you’re asking yourself right now
is "is this game for me"? Well, maybe it is.
-Do you like casual/idle games?
-Do you like games where you run a shop?
-Are you looking for a nice, relaxing story?
-Ever played any of our other games, like Oden Cart or Showa Candy Shop? (If so, thanks a bunch!)
-Are you hungry?*
*Warning: This game is not edible. Please don’t try to eat your phone.

If you answered "Yes!!!!" to any of the above, well,
maybe this game’s for you. Give it a download and a shot.
It’s free, so it won’t cost you a dime!
We very much hope it brings you a smile! Or perhaps even some tears?

Great story that remind us of the old style hospitality that we use to have but have lost int his fast paced world. Story line even better than the fist one. Although in the latter chapter earning money seem to be redundant. We had a chill when the little boy also saw the black suit man. But later felt warm about the ending. Didnt disappointed.

We need we NEED a 3rd story we love the hungry hearts diner games so much the game is so fun and beautiful and relaxing its so relaxing.

Its so amazing. We really love these games. We dont have a single complaint. We played the first and honestly wasnt sure if like it but wound up totally Loving it! We hope theres more of these to come!

Often times, sequels fall short of the original, but that is not the case at all with Hungry Hearts Diner 2. The ending was just as incredible as last time, the stories were just as amazing, and we adore the side stories, too, especially with how they added to the main storys ending. 10/10, we’ve taken to recommending it to friends who enjoy these types of games!

We loved the first Hungry Hearts very very much. It was a beautiful and wholesome story, with a very relaxing and gently paced gameplay. Few intrusive ads, but with a quiet and gentle prompting if you wanted to voluntarily watch more ads for in-game benefits. The music and sounds of the game were calming and quiet. We could play indefinitely and feel rested, relaxed, calm, and cheerful. This is not the same, at all. In the past 15 mins of gameplay, we’ve had at least 5 intrusive ads that take up the whole screen, automatically bring up the download prompt when you’re just trying to hit the tiny X button, and oftentimes make you wait a full minute before even showing you the X button to close them. The TV in the back of the restaurant regularly and repeatedly interrupts your gameplay with a loud annoying cheering and clapping and shouting, the TV itself bounces to get your attention, and you even get an urgent message that "a TV show is starting!!!" – it’s excessively intrusive, annoying, and NOT relaxing in the slightest. There is NO way to turn it off without just turning off all sound – but then you can’t listen to the gentle diner sounds or music. We absolutely hate it and it’s made us close the game before even getting beyond level 5. Very disappointed in this sequel so far. They ruined almost everything that was lovely about the original.

The game is very fun, but could you switch to an advertising company!! Is this advertisement popping up too many times? And the time interval between appearances is also very short, and the advertising time for rewards is too long! It feels like almost a minute! Please change the advertising company for developers! This is really affecting the gaming experience!

Fun game/sequel to pass the time but a lot of ads.

We’ve never felt so connected to a mobile tap-game. The characters and their stories resonated with us, we found myself wondering what will happen next almost every day. We originally got the first game to kill some spare time while we were sick, but this will go down as one of our most favorite games of all time. Thank you Gagex This series was both hilarious and warming to the soul. We only wish we could taste grandmas cooking !! (Also an annoying bug we found was when upgrading to have additional tables, sometimes serving someone food will rush the person behind them. We know its a game but we wanna let them take their time lol)

Ok, to start off, we had played the first Hungry Hearts game at least 5 times, and just played it again recently, got to the end, cried like a baby over grandpa. cue this sequel we’ve spent the last few days playing this, constantly. Of course like other reviews that complain about too many ads, we chose to pay for the decor to have the ads removed, it made it so much more enjoyable. Plus, we felt like with how much work the developers put into this game, the beautiful storyline, character development, and engaging gameplay, that it was well worth supporting them with the in-game purchases. You already get so many wonderful free things in this game, dont complain about the ads. If you hate them so much, do something about it, theres literally an option to pay to have them removed(except for the optional ones of course). That being said, we also paid for all of the decorations, and side stories, because we love this game so much. Every bit of it was worth every cent we paid, and we would do it again. We cant even tell you how much we were completely sucked into this game, carefully planning the best strategies to unlock recipes, while also saving our energy and money. It kept our wheels turning consistently, while a beautiful and emotional story unfolded. Also, the pure love and support for Sapphire should not go unnoticed, as this made us so so happy; seeing as Grandma is super traditional, she was so open-hearted and loving; not bigoted as one would come to believe an elderly in the 60s would think. We fell in love with each and every character(even though we loathed Casanova for the longest time, at the end we didnt hate him so. Lol). We wont post any spoilers, as a huge part of this game and its world building is so important. What we will say is, if youre wondering if this game is worth it, if the add-ons and little purchases are worth it, it truly is. We hope that we get to see more games like this in the future from the developers, even if this is a forever farewell from the Hungry Hearts Diner. Coming from someone who very rarely actually enjoys phone games or is not often captivated by phone games, this is such a beautiful game; you would be doing yourself a disservice to not play it.

We fell in love this game the 2nd time when the sequel got out! We hope u can make another games like this with a little bit of excitement. Love the idea that you made an upgrade on the 2nd one. Its a decent game but addictive! Maybe you can add more customers or add more furniture upgrades or helpers. Its a very nice game where you dont have to rush on things to level up. Good luck on making new exciting games!

Just as heartfelt as the first game. We were on edge at the end worrying about Mabo and granny, hoping the guy that didnt finish his food got a gig and rooting for the women with the very different jobs. We wish we could afford the paid side stories because we love them so much but the game is great with out them. We hope in the future we might get another game with granny or or mabo but we enjoyed the ride until then.

Randomly downloaded this game and forgot about it for a while. We never played the first one (definitely will now). We started playing it a few days ago and thought it was a pretty cute little game to pass the time, but we were not expecting the story to be so touching. We cried so many times reading the dialogue in the story. This is such a wonderful game.

This game is really great and has a great story to go along with it, Id highly reccomend this game!

We tried HungryHearts first. It was a great warm-up and we really enjoyed playing it. The stories were good and the food levels were understandable. We just started HungryHearts2. It is faster paced but with more explanations about leveling up your food. WARNING: This game makes you hungry!

We played both 1 and 2 to the end. Enjoyed both quite a bit. The storyline is a nice touch. Well designed, charming idler. Looking forward to 3!

This is one of the most relaxing and yet addicting games we’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. We adored the first Hungry Hearts game and we never thought we would find another that would reach the high expectations it left us with. However, we are glad to say this sequel is everything we couldve wanted and more. The build up of relationships with our customers is so tender and sweet, to which we loved the touch of humor in some of the plots. The game included very few ads once in a while and had little to no money grabbing which we believe shows the pure intentions of the creator! We want to end by saying we are so content with how granny was accepting of everyone no matter their story. Thank you for the lovely experience.

We absolutely loved the first game and was ecstatic once we found out about this sequel. The story is really cute and we love the diversity in characters!! The ad pop ups are a little annoying and a few times the audio would glitch when an ad played but besides those two minor issues, we think this is a perfect game!!

We love this game a lot, just as much as the first one! Im excited to read all the characters stories as we progress. But, oh our god, we are losing our mind over the fact that we cant find the options/setting button. While the music is nice, we dont like having sounds from our games, and we just want to turn it off cant find it, though!

We purchased the things that speed up the energy and after that the game cracked right away. We pay for nothing.

We loved the first game, played through it twice. We were so excited to see the second one. But it crashes so much its hardly playable :( from what we can play its great so far just crashes like every 5 minutes.

Every 30s an ad appears. If we wanted to watch ads Id watch the tv show other than making the game unplayable due to ads, we actually love the game.

What a beautiful story told with food and fun and laughter.

Im simultaneously playing this one and the first one cause Im ADHD and its helping with our depression when it gets really bad. It may be fast paced and demanding, but its still a great game. We definitely recommend it for anyone needing a game to blow off steam with.

But hope it would have more update or something .

We wash dishes ad played. We cook another ad cant play the game.

Please play this. We love Sapphire, and would die for all these characters. We cant make a coherent review right now but we wish we had a Grandma like the one here. We hope all these characters live happy lives.

Absolutely loved the gameplay, art, and stories. We played the original Hungry Hearts first and loved that, and we absolutely was not disappointed with this one. You gotta play it!

This game is so sweet and wholesome. The time management aspect of it is fun by itself, but the charming characters are what keeps you coming back. You also learn a little bit about food and history. If youre feeling a little blue, give it a go. Thank you for making these games, Gagex. Id love to see a part 3.

We loved the game but every couple of minutes you HAVE to watch a 30+ second ad to proceed. We only got through the first chapter before it became absolutely unbearable and we couldnt take it anymore. And there is no option to purchase to get rid of ads.

We REALLY LOVE the first version of this game we used to play it nonstop, so when the second version came out we were extremely excited. However the game freezes too many times til the point we get frustrated and dont even bother login in. Please fix this issue because Im just so in love with the game format and the rest but we might really have to drop it for good if the app keeps freezing.

We really enjoyed playing this game, but when we were finally getting a hang on how to organize our workflow (Grandmas workflow), the game ended. Really? It took us 2 days. We got super annoyed with the random ads popping in too regularly, so we paid for no ads about one hour into it. Plus the cute welcome cat and the lucky sculpture. Altogether, spent $5.99. And it ended in 2 days. What the heck? If we play the side chapters, the first few are free and then it costs $1.99 each. This is ridiculous! Just update the game with free chapters, like almost all other games!

A beautiful and wholesome game. We played the first one and CRIED. This one absolutely tugged on our heart strings. Please consider supporting the developer and buying the game/add ons.

Thank you for this wonderful heartwarming story, gagex! You never disappoint.

We loved the first one and this one is so touching as well. This is one of those games where u wanna get some of the in app purchases just to support the creators and stories like this one being made. Hope to see more from u soon.

Another incredibly heartfelt game in a sequel that is just as engaging as the first time youve played! Incredible storytelling, fantastic ambient music, characters who you will love!

Im so happy that the sequel is finally released in English! Its wonderful seeing Grandma and everyone again, as well as meeting new characters. It was a little sad to learn about the old diner, but at the same time, we were rooting for Grandma all the way as she struck out on her own. The gameplay is the same with the added challenge of washing dishes. We definitely missed not being able to worry about that in the first game. However, we were overjoyed to see the addition of side stories along with the main one so we could learn more about the characters. The sequel was just as heartfelt as the first, having us to keep playing until we unlocked the full story. Its sad that this may be the last game well ever see the HHD crew, but Im glad to know that things will be well for everyone in the end. Thank you guys for creating this wonderful series. We hope well see HHD Grandma and co. Again someday~

Im so happy that the next one is released!!! We have replayed the other one five times already lol.

We have been hoping a sequel would be made. The first one was one was amazing and so far this one is too!

Love the hungry hearts diner series. We are missing the carbonara and the coffee or hot coco in our recipes! Please fix. We cannot move forward with the story without these dishes available. There is no option for them in our food menu. Thanks!

Wow, after playing the first Hungry Hearts app we had high expectations and you guys did not disappoint! We LOVE the characters and their storylines, the addition of washing dishes makes the gameplay more balanced, being able to buy more episodes (With in game currency, not real money) is awesome! Thank you so much for creating such a warm, charming game that pulls you in and makes you so happy! Ill be downloading the Hungry Hearts diner 3 if you guys ever release it!! (Please make a Hungry Hearts 3)

We absolutely hate the tv noise and we cant get rid of it without turning all the sound off. Otherwise great game.

We love the games that Gagex make! We’ve been following their work for a few years and the stories in each game are always heartwarming, interesting, and emotional. This games predecessor was the one that originally hooked us in, so we were glad to see a continuation of the story. Unfortunately, the games doesn’t run very well on our phone and it freezes often during gameplay. Sometimes it unfreezes, sometimes it doesn’t and we have to restart the app. In those cases, we find that our progress has regressed and we have to remake recipes to regain our progress.

The game crashed and started us at the beginning after days of playing. :( Great game though, we loved the first version. The TV sound is annoying but you can turn off the sound.
