Idle Mafia Review
The Devs are ruining the game with new updates. The smuggling dock will ruin this game completely. They dont listen to their customer base. The game is now glitchy and is no longer an idle game but a pay to play.
Started out fun but now have to spend so much money on it losing appeal. No where to go to find information on new mini games. We go to support and they are actually no support at all. We think people are going to start abandoning game due to lack of information on mini games.
Numerous complaints to the devs regarding a few of the recent updates that have unnecessary flashes and screen changes, but they have not fixed yet. If you are prone to epileptic seizures DO NOT PLAY this game right now.
Ad for this game keeps opening the app store on its own.

We’ve been playing for a while and it keeps getting better!
We love this game. Been playing it every day for a few months now, really enjoy the concept and how in most cases, you can get through the game well without having to pay for it. In a way. One issue is we’ve noticed the events are a bit too difficult if you dont spend money. And they have become too repetitive. It also Seems like the mythical capos are a bit too difficult to get, we understand why, If it wasnt for the special they did with giving us a bunch of boxes. We would still not have one. It also gets really difficult to level up the Capps past a certain level. Especially with a mythical. Im stuck at a certain level, and have been for a week or so because we have nothing that makes the buildings auto anymore. And we cant seem to upgrade anything. One thing we love is youre not spammed with ads if you dont want to watch one like most other games are. Overall a great game though. Just wish there was a few changes.
The new dock features were cool but now is glitching like crazy you search for more goods and it glitches and wastes a search. Then if you try it again you get double the goods but then you lose a lot of them to people stealing because theres no way you can drag 10 items at a time. Then when we search for other docks it comes up none found constantly. On top of that it glitches and doubles the goods then we go to get them and the disappear. Cant contact support because when we click the link it errors out. The other parts of the game are cool but the docks are frustrating.
Update was yesterday but we cant update it now, keeps saying theres a billing info issue, we’ve never had that happen to us before so we cant play the game now.
This new update with the smuggling is GOD AWFUL. Its too many things to keep track of and not only that but its definitely a pay to win game and they dont take player feedback seriously. We’ve complained about how awful the arena is multiple times and even wrote a review about it a couple months back and nothing has yet to be done.. Oh wait they did update it! And made it WORSE! The new car update is the stupidest thing the game has added and Im STILL losing to people more than half our attack power it makes 0 sense!!!! Instead of adding so many things at once how about yall focus of fixing the issues the game has had and people are begging for. We would not recommend this until you start seeing more positive feedback and until this game updates.. We might even have to uninstall.. So sad.
Game used to be a good game for F2P and light spenders but is one of the most expensive games around now. Be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars per month to be competitive in this game. Updates are rolling out too fast and have ruined game play. Issues with subscription billing for monthly subscriptions in game. Clearly end of life game at this time.
This game went from being something we could play everyday but now we have the smuggling dock and the machine fights that add TOO much to the game. It makes casual players become much weaker and it only caters to those who spend hours and hours and hours on this game. We have been playing and paying for 3 years and we dont plan on continuing playing for very long because this update was the nail in the coffin. We were happy with how the game was – didnt need this awful update.
Game was awesome until today. They added way too much and we dont care for it at all. You will spend too much time trying to keep up with their newest update. It was fun before now its a confusing mess. Ill be pulling all the extras we pay for.
If you asked us a year ago or even 6 months ago we would have rated this game 5 stars. Awesome game, very enjoyable. Played this game daily with our friends. But it seems the Developers are more interested in revenue than producing a fun , affordable, and entertaining game. The cost to advance in this game has increased at an inflated rate while they have taken away or restricted the opportunities to gain needed resources. One by one our friends have quit till Im at the point that Im reviewing if we wish to continue playing. Im afraid this games best days are behind it and is spiraling out of control into the Abyss that claims ruined games.
It was once a great game – the devs are quickly turning it to pay to play. Recent updates are absolute trash. We liked the creativity behind the smuggling dock, but its impossible. Even with the $9.99 dock permit, there is no way to collect enough of the resources to level up. DO NOT BUY THE DOCK PERMIT. Nothing is ever protected and the greed level is off the charts. This game used to be amazing, now its sadly a cash grab.
FIX YOUR STUPID NEW MINI GAME.
Dev team used to listen to players, not anymore. Over the past few months this game has gone WAY downhill. Costs to stay competitive have gone way up, time required to earn resources has gone way up, changes by dev team are counter to what players have suggested. Plus there are more and more very blatant bugs being released despite them being identified in beta. Very sad to see such a great game be destroyed. We’ve been playing for 2 years and have had enough, just deleted the game.
You made a great new feature but failed to make it more accessible to you casual players who are getting destroyed the all day players the smuggling docks is just getting your stuff stolen and trying to wait them out so they give up.
The dock has the dock permit (pay to win) and no matter what if you dont have friends who will help you you will lose everything even the stuff on your dock do to unfair matchmaking (i e you having 39 power against someone with 90 plus the 4 people helping him) the dock also will pop up no internet connection every so often so you lose more Loot like make it fair instead of trying to squeeze every dime out of it. The dock is also very buggy but they dont care. It also really heats up your battery why did they remove the option to turn down graphics?
New update is not fun and makes the game very slow. You just sit and wait 1-2 mins for something to happen to get resources to upgrade your stuff. It looks like it will take months unless we spend real money. Thats the gameplay loop. Add activity thats very time consuming and wait forever/tailor spend money.
The new update is horrible. We have paid for the Mafia Club Membership for probably at least a year now. Its only 4.99 month and we think the benefits from that are worth it. We also pay more on occasions for different events. Even with that leveling up still takes forever. We play about an hour a day, because thats as much time as we can really afford. There are aspects of the game that are truly ridiculous like the Arena and Fight Club. In the Arena you get beat by people half or less your strength. The Fight Club is even more ridiculous because the odds can be 99 to 1 and in our way of thinking only we can only lose 1 time out of a 100. We do not bet unless the odds are that high and we definitely lose way more than 1 out of 100. We say all that to get to the newest update. Now they updated if you want help you can paid 9.99 month for a dock permit. We paid for that, but will cancel our subscription because we feel it truly doesnt help you, as the saying goes the the juice isnt worth the squeeze. The hole dock thing makes the game horrible unless you are willing to spend hours and hours on the game. You get cargo and people come snatch your cargo while you are trying to get one thing everyone grabs everything else. Then someone who has more strength because they play all the time snatches what you are pulling. It takes so much cargo to level up making it impossible to do so unless you want to spend all day playing. Now to the worst of it, some of the cargo can be used to make you stronger in the regular part of the game. So now we dont stand a chance in the Arena or other head to head fights. We’ve just about decided its time to find another game completely.

- You front load your best reviews, not by date, thats misleading. Especially after updates and addition of new content. The fist review that is visible is over a year old, and does not reflect current game play. 2. The developers do not throughly test new content, allowing ridiculous glitches. Reminds us of Microsoft Windows. But worse. 3. The developers create content to encourage you to spend more money. This game is designed as a the more you pay, the better your odds but even if you subscribe to monthly plans it really makes very little difference. If you want to be a competitive player, be ready to spend at least $100 a month. 4. The new content smugglers dock is absolutely full of errors, glitches, and unbalanced unfair gameplay. 5. The support team replies with sugar coated garbage basically blaming the player when issues are reported, even with screenshots.
Id like to say that we have been playing this game a lot and we really enjoy it, we play it when Im stressed, keep up the good work!
We’ve deleted this game many times and did come back now and then, but Im tired of the boost ads. They need shorter ads. Nobody wants to watch 5 minute advertisements especially a non interactive advertisement.
The game is nice and fun however our phone overheats so badly that we can no longer touch it.
We are not going to make any assumptions here and we are just going to give constructive feedback. The game is quite literally unplayable. It requires an Internet connection and does not handle any small interruptions properly. If you disconnect even for a second, you are forced to restart the game. If an Internet connection is absolutely required, a simple waiting to reconnect message would be fine. Every time the game is restarted, because we have not passed certain conditions for the game to save, whether it be time based or if we finished the tutorial, we are stuck reliving the same intro. Using cellular data or our home network doesnt change a thing. We live in a city and so the wireless traffic is often congested, meaning there is always going to be slight packet loss. Our recommendation? Allow the user to play for a certain amount of seconds after disconnecting. If the user does not reconnect within a specified amount of time, use a pop up message to allow to player to either wait for reconnection or restart their game.
We saw the ad, and we were like wow, that looks cool (It was a car wash tycoon, we love tycoons) So we looked at the photos, and we were still a car washing tycoon, so we got it but we wondered about the game name. Then, we played, and everything was different. We suggest you make the ad and photos about it like the actual game.
But does not play well on iPhone 14. In event battles, the game freezes.
This game was fun a few months back till developers pushed this game way too fast!!! To keep up with the game you will need to spend lots of money. Im getting to the point when we will stop spending money on this game.
Great game good story line beautiful graphics and we love it.
After all the money we spent to get where we were just for it to go away as soon as a get a new phone.
This game just took 45.43 off our card and we didnt even buy anything.
10/10 Game good graphics, Good story line ,Good game idea ,something we would want to play all day ,and when Im not on the game we still get money.
