What Makes Into the Breach Stand Out
Available exclusively for Netflix members.
Civilization is in peril, and it's up to you to defend it. Lead a team to save the world from alien threats in this turn-based strategy game.
The remnants of human life are threatened by giant creatures breeding beneath the earth. Carefully choose your squad of powerful pilots and mechs to protect your territory. Each attempt to engage the enemy presents a new challenge in this futuristic combat game, which PC Gamer named Ultimate Game of the Year in 2018.
Features:
• Defend cities: Civilian buildings power your mechs. Defend the structures from the enemy and watch your fire!
• Perfect your strategy: Enemy attacks are telegraphed in minimalistic, turn-based battles. Analyze your opponent's attack and come up with the perfect counter every turn.
• Build the ultimate mech: Find powerful new weapons and unique pilots as you fight alien infestations across multiple islands.
• Another chance: Failure is not an option. If you're defeated, send for help back through time to save another timeline.
• Advanced edition content: This newly expanded version of the game includes advanced weapons, mechs, pilots, enemies, missions and more.
This Strategy game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
We have 220 hours in this game on steam. Im excited to finally have it in. Y pocket. Its perfectly challenging with tons of replay value and genuinely surprising depth. Its perfect. Play it.
Games pretty fun and not pay walled either refreshing to play games not locked up behind pay walls on mobile.
Great game so happy we can play it on iOS.
Chess-like deceptively simple tactics game.
Seriously everything youve heard about this game is accurate. The game is so sick as like a roguelike puzzle/chess/Tactical battle game. Download it.
Such a great game with excellent replay value.
We were recommended by a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the engaging and difficult combat, tough decisions, fun pixel art style and tense music! Basically Civ combat crossed with chess and space invaders, if you are a strategy game fan we highly recommend.
Easy to learn. Different difficulty levels to choose. We can manage perfect runs, which is important to us for rescuing civilians.
Super fun. We think this might be our only review, so that says something. We also own it on Steam, too. The thoughtful tactics scratch perfectly a particular itch in our brain, maybe itll do the same for you. Plus, its just the cutest little monster v mech fights youll ever see. Endlessly replay-able. Honestly, we cannot recommend this game enough.
Infinitely repayable and so satisfying to see whats going to happen and stop it. This is one of the best designed and smartly crafted games ever made.
Fantastic port of one of the best games ever.
Game is amazing very strategy based.
Only through the first set of missions on Normal and the enemy strategies have us wanting to learn more. Fun turn based game.
This game really makes you think. Sometimes tough calls have to be made for victory. Its a lot of fun, and you can also come and go as needed. Its perfect if you have a busy schedule.
Really makes you think, with relaxing music while you kill time and squash bugs.
Just the right amount of challenge to keep us coming back. Been playing this game for years. Theres always a solution just keep looking.
Lots of fun to play. For a pc game, it translates really well on mobile.
Into the Breach works smoothly and provides a great level of challenge at the high difficulty level. Just completed the first island boss after a few repeated rounds and have enjoyed the learning through time travel approach of one campaign.
Make sure to get a version ready for when Netflix takes it off so that you have a shorter time transitioning from the Netflix version to the paid premium version. Cause Ill buy it in a heartbeat.
One of our favorite strategy games.
Amazing on PC and translates to iPad and iPhone very well. If you have a Netflix account then its an easy decision, just get it. If you dont, then still get it. Amazing game.
So much replay to be had. Highly recommend.
Brilliant gameplay that we come back to time and time again.
We had this game in the computer before we got it for the phone and it is such a good time you have to think about every move and anytime you think outside the box you make some move that saves the whole run and you feel like a genius.
We have revisited this game time and time again over the years! It never disappoints and all of the updates and difficulties always give us a reason to come back and play again. A fantastic, unique game.
Into the breach is a very satisfying game to play in that you have a lot of control with your actions in game. If you think outside the box, you will be rewarded. Its a game that lets you decide how to play and becomes more fun the more you learn about the game.
Its alot of fun, and has plenty of replayability and content.
We have fully beat this game twice and this is our third time it is great.
One of the best games you can get for your iPhone, especially if youre into strategy games.
This game is amazing short but impactful tactical missions with clear objectives and reasonable rewards. Definitely not easy but each mission is a like a puzzle and each mech is cool and there are many different options for different play styles.
Honestly was really surprised, simple but has enough depth for a phone game, sound design is very good too.
This game is really great, it can feel like youre stuck but we switched to easy when we lost too many runs on normal without even making it to the boss on the first island. Theres a lot of strategy involved and just trust us, youll have a blast.
So chess is turn based, duh. This game practices chess skills of move and attack with the back story and turn based strategy that keeps an interesting game going. The difficulty level is about making sacrifices for getting ahead.
Offers one of our favorite balances between optimization and creative freedom! Highly recommend.
Another day wonderful game by this fantastic development team.
Despite the success of FTL (the developers first breakout game), one of its major criticisms was that there was too much RNG (this is true). Into The Breach seems to be Subset Games direct answer to that with its chess-like gameplay that puts much more control into the players hands. Whereas in FTL you could lose because the same weapon missed five times in a row, your losses and mistakes in Into The Breach always feel theyre your fault, even if theres still a bit of bad luck mixed in. Every turn of this game is like a new puzzle to solve, and you will often find yourself pulling off moves that save you from a seemingly impossible situation, creating a very fun core gameplay loop. The game is further elevated by beautiful pixel sprites and animations and a highly groovy and motivational and at times even emotional soundtrack by Ben Prunty. You can expect a ton of replay value out of this game especially since the release of the free Advanced Version update which adds more of everything to the game (still only 5 islands/levels total though). The controls are also rather intuitive on mobile so there should be very little difficulty in learning the game. IMO this is the best and most accessible turn based roguelike out there besides Balatro.
Simple but very smart and strategic.
Very clever game. Its like if you combined chess with Gears of War. Perhaps best of all and super rare: No micro-transactions or pay-to-win.
Each level is a challenging puzzle.
One of the best strategy games of all time on your phone (10/10 on IGN). What more do you need? Includes controller support and the big final content update.
Perfectly executed. Played it on many platforms. Works great on iOS.
Recently saw that this was playable on the Netflix app and had to download it, we have it on our PC at home and this really makes it easy for when Im on the go and away from home.
Played this on switch too but it rlly feels perfect on mobile what with the slide mechanics and short missions.
The turn based strategy really lets us play at our pace. Fun storyline, and genuinely strategic thinking required.
Really good game the designs look amazing and its a really good way to play strategy.
This game is really something special. It has a ton of tactical depth while being very easy to approach. The art style is super distinctive and works very well for this game specifically.
Great puzzle game hidden under a tactical warfare cover. Well worth the time and money.
Truly one of the greatest strategy games ever created.
This is such a solid turn based tactical game. We find ourselves playing it again and again, even years after we first played and beaten the game.
There is so much variety in what your mechs can do and how the veks (enemies) respond to your moves. We love how simple it is to play and yet forces you to often make tough choices in our to complete a mission. This is a well crafted and well executed strategy game of the highest order. The graphics are fantastically 8-bit, and the many characters you can choose from each have individual playstyles. For being rendered in a simple way, the music really pulls you in, making you feel like this is the last stand for Earth. The plot hook at the end is great too.
