STORY
First there was iPhone in all its glory with its magnificent capacitive touch screen which enabled typing at rapid speeds, comparable to computer physical keyboards.
This gave birth to a new wave of innovation, including iTextSpeed.
iTextSpeed allowed you to discover just how quickly you could type on a 3.5inch display, the results were astonishing.
It shot up the charts, amazed at the ability of iPhone to keep up with lightening fast fingers, & for fingers to so quickly tap away as the words appeared on screen, incredible speeds of 89 Words Per Minute were achieved & iTextSpeed was downloaded over 500,000 times.
This lead iTextSpeed to become the metric for the world’s fastest typists on iPhone.
DESCRIPTION:
Type the words as quickly as possible don’t worry about hitting every letter perfectly and watch your speeds take off to the skies!
To begin type the word at the top of the screen, or in the textfield and and tap space to advance.
Type as many words as you can before the timer runs out.
You can set the timer to 15, 30, 60, and 120 seconds for random and slang word bundles.
Word Bundles let you choose between various texts to type including:
- Biblical truths
- Historical speeches
- US Government Documents
- Vocabulary Sight words
- Custom content – Allows you to set the text to something of your choosing

This app helped us get from 20wpm to 62! And we quite enjoy the challenge of trying to get past our records.
Updated to not crash on launch with iOS 13. We like this app. Could use a little more UI polish but its clean and simple.
We’re not typically into the review thing and so far, we have been happy with the app. Has a learning curve all its own, not like Mavis Beacon for anyone who has used that program and for IPad and IPhone users who use a separate keyboard, this app fits the bill. The app must be fairly new as there are not any FAQ’s and those are not really needed, but nice to have.
Don’t waste your money on this app. If you click play it will just log you right out. We are just trying to get fast at typing but there is no good apps for that.
Please update the app for the iPhone 5! The "resized" screen causes the keyboard to be elevated which does not conform to our muscle memory for texting!
This app made us type ALOT faster than when we had the lite version Gotta give it 5 stars.
Like the app have used it for years has helped with our typing when we got our keyboard for our phone it made it even more fun but would like to be able to upload to facebook.
We can’t get an accurate testing of our speed if the app doesn’t fill our display! Needs update ASAP!

So boring nothing to do except type. Game is limited and we feel we waisted our $1.
Helps you get to be a real quick texter/typed on your iPod/iPhone. We can now text reviews (like this one), notes, and emails super quick. It bugs us so much when our friends type sooo slow now. This is really great practice and totally worth your money. Even if you already are fast you can still improve and if you don’t type a lot on your iPod it’s still a fun game to play. Recommended to anyone! :)
Having an iPhone typing speed measurement app is the coolest! We just typed that @ 45 WPM!
This app is very fun! We find it very addicting. The first time we played we got 32WPM now currently we type 58WPM. Thanks devs =]

We’ve had this for a while now and decided to finally make a review since we forgot to lol. This app really helps when you want to practice typing fast. We used to get around the 40s but now we get 50s like nothing landscape or portrait. A tip would be to look at the words the majority of the time rather than looking at the keyboard and your fingers! Auto-correction is just too smart :)!
As a noob to the iphone it really helped us get our skills up. A must for any iphone user.
Very nice little app to help improve the speed and accuracy of your texting. Very useful for people new to the iPhone or iTouch.
It’s fun and every time we play, we find that we’re just a little bit more efficient with our iPhone keyboard.. Our high is 54 wpm… One comment- there needs to be a return to menu function (unless it’s there and we’re missing it) from during the game.. It’s annoying to accidentally start a 60 second game and have to wait for the timer to run out. Other then that… Awesome.
The biggest weakness is that the words are randomly presented. In the real world you are typing sentances, not just random words. It would be a better test if the words were formed into a coherent structure.
We tryed to use facebook connect and it crashes every time we try to run the app now.
Ok the app itself is pretty cool when it works. Every since we did the Facebook connect thing it doesn’t work. It just cuts off as soon as we open it. It’s Luke friggin weird and we don’t know why. We have to give it a low rating until this gets fixed. We mean whenbit does decide to works then it is pretty cool abdbinlove it. But until this problem he’s fixed it’s a low rating for now. It especially makes us mad since paid for it.
If you want to improve your typing on the ipad to include numbers, question marks, quotations, shift, asterisk, etc. Keys, there’s no way to adjust the settings for those types of drills.
