What Makes Joking Hazard – Official Stand Out
Someone on the Internet once told us that making stick figure comics is easy as hell, and that we were ugly and stupid.
They were right on all counts. So, after crying for a few hours, we created the Random Comic Generator which since its inception in 2014 has entertained millions with its computer-generated comedy.
After a few weeks of playing with the Random Comic Generator, we started to wonder if its hundreds of random panels might lend themselves to a card game, where you compete against your friends to finish a comic with a funny punchline. So we printed out all of the RCG panels and started playing with them."
Draw 7 cards. The deck plays the first card, select a Judge to play the second, then everyone selects a third card to create a three panel comic strip. The Judge picks a winner!

We like it overall but it is a bit buggy and the card frequency is not balanced. Some cards are in your hand almost every game while others never come up. We think some of the no league or silver league players are bots too. They will play random nonsense and pick the worst winning cards.
We recently discovered Joking Hazard (received the 10 year old base game for Christmas, lets just say we live under a rock) and quickly became fascinated by it and it kind of became an obsession. Then bought half a dozen expansion packs, and through our research for more expansion packs we found this app. Absolutely amazing and time draining, which we love. We find ourselves disappointed that we did not discover the app a few seasons sooner because we have now missed out on avatars, emojis, & frames we would adore to have access to, ones that we feel express the state of our mind more accurately. Any chance of adding the ability to complete special challenges or tournaments where they can be a reward? Maybe even add them as purchasable in the store.
The game is really good and very funny but the audio sounds really slowed down and weird.
The game is so much fun! Until its not? We were having a blast starting off, cards were new to us, the jokes were fresh. We spent some money, unlocked hundreds of cards, we were STOKED we have yet to play with most of them. We play a good 5-10 games in a row while we wind down and will have the same hand in each of those games. Out of hundreds of cards, we have maybe played with 50, 75 being generous. Often times its the same 10-20 cards over and over and OVER again To any curious folk, try it out, its still fun. Just dont spend any money on it. No sense spending cash for cards you will almost never see.
Nice that it is completely free to play so you dont have to worry about whales and its a nice chill game with no stress or anything.
We made it 5 stars so you guys see ! This app involves god and horrible god jokes. Cursing and stuff is ok but including god is not. One of the cards say, we blame god for this. For us, this is extremely disrespectful and this app does not deserve the hype it does.

This is probably the best board game turned to mobile game Ive ever played good job bro.
If we wanna play with only one other friend, itd be nice to have the option to join as a two person group, and then have the option to have the rest of the spots filled by random other players but overall, it is a pretty fun game and quite enjoyable despite that one con hopefully a better way to play with friends comes up if you only wanna play with one friend in a future update.
You get the same 10 cards when you start the game and it gets repetitive cards need to be randomized in your hand better.
We have been playing for a few days now and games feel really repetitive, the cards that are drawn are almost always the same every game with one or two cards changing at most and when your opponents have a similar hand of cards it gets a little boring seeing the same answers to everything. We think if it shuffled through the base deck better to give a wider variety it would be more fun.
This game is good but lacks so much. Its very bare bones. It needs way more to get anything higher than three stars. 1) The lack of music or atmosphere during matches is so disappointing. You can almost fall asleep its so disengaging. 2) Theres no punishment for people who just let the timer run out. It auto picks their cards or a winner if they are judge. It leads to subpar card combos that you just cant fix with your own. Or a clear winner is beat out by the random selection from the judge timer running out. This is likely due to boosting to get promotions as there is no downside to just starting a game and letting it run on auto pilot. 3) the hand you are dealt always feels the same. There are cards in the base deck that we have yet to see in our hand or anyone ever play. Where are they? Are they actually unlocked or is that a visual glitch? Who knows. The same overplayed cards are always drawn. 4) Lack of game modes or higher stake matches. Theres only one game mode and its first to two wins. Sometimes a match is over instantly in two plays. Would like to see increased margins for wins or a twist for a new game mode. Maybe more card slots on the table instead of three? Or a new hand per round. Something. 5) more interaction with players mid game. Maybe a chat box or emotes for the table. This game has potential it just needs a push to get it going.
Game frequently freezes prior to or after ads for prizes. Ads are also longer than 30 seconds as advertised in-game. Also, it seems like the same card choices recycled over and over again.
We were expecting it to be a typical mobile game, but we were luckily wrong. Its not pay to win and ads are optional. Its perfect for just a quick match. Sure, its not perfect, but Id support this game over any game that shoved ads and micro transactions down your throat. Id love to see future updates.
Im enjoying this game very funny, However we do wish there was an option to play again instead of having to return to the lobby and creating a new game especially when playing with friends If you can make an option for us to play again and or add friends to the game instead of having to send out a code each time.
We have read cyanide and happiness cartoons for years and have the joking hazard card game and now this app, love it all! We think if they added the ability to add friends, and to jump straight into new games and not have to search again (especially if playing custom matches with friends) would go along way to really making this game 5 stars.
For Starters the BASE reaction stickers/emojis () give no real variety to react to placed cards. 70% of games ive played have been some absolute garbage cards and we wish we could react to them accordingly. A better starter layout could be: . Not even the paid ones (as of Nov 20th 2025) really convey any of these emotions/reactions. Second, The games are fairly quick but it feels some players dont even play as the computer is fast and chooses a random card for both a placement and winner. It can be very addictive but can quickly get old fast with the the fast timer forcing bots to play as well as the 2 to win system. Best of 3 would really up the stakes and provide more laughs. Third, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade cards other than for a couple of coins (if youre really desperate). The card styles tend to block off some of the text and distort the picture with its upgraded shine. Maybe if were to change the borders, maybe animate them with different styles and such itd be worth it for those bragging rights. Lastly with the lack of sound effects and music there should be no reason you should turn the volume up, youre better off reading the comics aloud and making your own sound effects. Will watch this games career with great interest.
Its a fun game, but its the same few cards, over and over. It feels almost like a demo.
Plays just like the physical version except you dont need a social life and you get to watch ads.
Opened the game later and it gave us the we think we should get a divorce card. Very funny game.
We love the game we just wish you had more time to read what cards you have when making a selection. Other then that 10/10 game.
We were racing someone to the top of the leaderboard and when we beat him, changed our name to (his username) loses. Instead of getting mad he changed his name to gg dude! Disgusting. We played this game seeking toxic people and instead every player is filled with sportsmanship! Disappointed in the Cyanide & Happiness community. Yall should be worse than this.
Wish there was a co-op mode. This would make it ten times funnier and fun playing with friends. We love and have watched the videos for years. Im happy there finally a game we can play on our phone that resembles it. Good job. And hopefully in the future yall consider a co-op mode.

Ive watched their videos for years and Im so glad they made a game and its actually super sleek and fun to play. A few things we dont like are the timing in the quick play we feel the timer should be just a little bit slower so it gives us a minute to actually enjoy reading the cards we want to pick for the joke. Also we seen on the leaderboard someone have a very racist name and idk why they chose that name like how weird do you need to be to bring that energy to such an awesome game ? We think there needs to be mods to suspend people who make names with obvious ill intent.
Needs more time to pick cards or at least adjustable times.
Fine enough game but we think itd be better if it got a bit more fleshed out, maybe some settings and music. Also needing tickets to play custom games is a bit unfortunate.
We love the game! But we think it needs a friends list so you can play with your buddies anytime. Also, you get a lot of the same cards over and over. So we feel like unpacking and buying new ones is kind of a sour note right now. If you guys fixed these Id give it a 5 star for sure.
We tried this for a few months, climbed to Grandmaster rank. For such a simple game, there are a few too many bugs, and the battery drain is far too excessive; theres simply no reason for these issues considering how basic the game is. We deleted because we tried an experiment: make an effort for a time, then let it run with no interaction for a time. Did better by doing nothing. We did this because we noticed the winners hands often made no sense at all. We set a good hand, an opponent set a better hand, another competitor set nonsense garbage, garbage usually won. Game needs a full redo.
Super funny and fun but yall need to make the partys public.
Its really fun and leveling up is cool, its just becoming harder to play due to the fact that it seems like every round youre paired with a bot (and its very easy to tell when theres one playing). And theres no way to report the bots either. If youre unlucky enough to get matched with multiple, it makes it near impossible to win. But 3 stars because the app itself is good and its a lot of fun to play with friends.
We were playing a round, when all of a sudden someone made the most ping pong Ching Chong fraggle daggle ding dong dang funniest deck of cards. We laughed so hard that we farted in our grandmas breathing tube and she suffocated to death! Then, a cockroach came and started throwing it back on grannys shriveled up corpse. So no, dont download the game.
Add chat, friends, and friend lobbies. Also emotes shouldnt be locked behind a paywall- and advertisements for wanting you to buy stuff are annoying especially if you already have. We also need game chat. Or in game emotes/preset phrases during thinking phases.
We enjoy games like cards against humanity, and this is a quick way to get to play with random people with darker humor than us.
Love this company and this card game. This app version is fun. But you need to make it so red cards can only be played last. We dont even see instructions in the game so first timers have no idea. If this gets fixed- best game on the market.
There is so much rampant abuse of people just letting the timer run out and letting it just pick random winners. If people arent even going to play, then whats the point.
Ive been a fan of C&H since close to the time that they started up. We backed the JH Kickstarter. This is a solid digital version of that game. But cmon. The season pass is $8 about every month. People will just let the game run and not actively play it to collect points, and Im wondering how people can get 600 rank points from 8pm on Sunday to 6am the next morning at the start of a new week if not for running a script.
Great game, we bought the first season pass but we feel the value isnt worth it. We were hoping the season pass cost would be a one off purchase, but alas it isnt.
We Realy like the game but we think it would be significantly improved if there was better scoring mechanics and card variation. For example, needing to win more than 2 matches per game, and more use out of the emojis.
The game is great but the stickers mean nothing and we never won a game other one time this would be better if you could actually win at least a third of the time.
We love cyanide and happiness. The humor is right up our alley, even if some of the more recent shorts are kinda cringy. Cards and humor are always a good combo. Still, PLEEEASE give us more updates on freakpocalypse!! The most recent update on steam is from 3 years ago! Im a sophomore rn and we want to be able to at least play the next episode before we graduate hs.
Im really enjoying having Joking Hazard for mobile and Im psyched that its available! It would be even better if we could play with friends and if there was more card variation. We have 265 cards and have played over 130 games, but we feel like we only see the same 25-30 cards. We also get the same cards repeatedly in our booster packs. Its also kinda buggy (which it seems the dev team is working on), where the game gets stuck after the timer runs out and we get disconnected if we dont manually restart the game in time. Finally, we dont really understand how scoring works. An example: we get a season pass booster sometimes. we know its still pretty new and the kinks will be worked out eventually. We cant wait to see how much more awesome it gets.

Great game, well balanced gameplay. The price to buy cards for coins is kinda high but not the worst. There are some bugs though, like the timer will run out and we have to leave the match to get unstuck, losing all progress. Luckily games are pretty short anyway so its tolerable. The matches themselves are very funny and we love the emoji system. Im excited to see what comes next.
We like the game but having a deck locked tell you get to Level 60 is a bit much. Would be nice if it was lower (maybe 35 or 40.). Maybe have the level deck 40, 50, and 60 also be unlocked with coins or $1 in the shop and have it be replaced with a normal booster Out side of that complaint it is a fun and great game.
Awesome and fun but we really do hope one day you can come out with private matches with friends. That would be amazing.

This is an online game, so we would like to see a friends system in the future so we can play with friends and not just randoms. Otherwise, it's very good.
Overall the game is really fun but it needs a few things to be a 5 star. First, the ability to play with friends. Second, is card variation. Despite having 400 cards in our deck we feel like we get the same 20 cards every game. Lastly the option to play longer rounds. Dont get us wrong we like the quick short rounds but sometimes we want to play longer. Other than that, this game is great and we highly recommend.
Immediately youre given a large variety of cards from the base game, and its not pay to win either, most youre getting by spending is just extra cards to use in matches, but because of how the game works, you never know when those cards will actually get a chance to be played. We only have 2 complaints so far, a bug that can cause someone to win immediately which we already emailed the dev team about, and the lack of music during matches, we wouldnt even mind having the Cyanide and Happiness theme on loop, which is already the menu theme, just something that would make this a 5 star game for us.
