Dive into Jumbline 2+ for iPad

Meet Jumbline 2, the most addictive word game in the App Store. Scramble and twist your brain to make words from jumbled lines of letters. Simply rearrange the scrambled letters into words, and underline them with your finger to score points; find and underline the largest word and you advance to the next level.

Play in a relaxing un-timed mode, or put your skills up against the clock in timed rounds.

Jumbline 2 includes two additional games: Cloud Pop and Star Tower. In Cloud Pop, your goal is to pop as many clouds as possible, by spelling words out of the letters carried in each cloud. In Star Tower, your task is to build the tallest tower you can, before it sinks into the ground, by making and staking words out of an infinitely jumbled line of letters. The larger the word, the slower your tower sinks, so scramble and twist your brain to think big!

Jumbline 2 is ideal for fans of Scrabble, Words With Friends, TextTwist. Play with friends and family cooperatively, or fly solo.

Hear from the Players – Jumbline 2+ for iPad Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Jumbline 2+ for iPad:

We have tried several anagram games, dropped most, still play a few. But through the years, Jumbline has stayed our favorite. We only like untimed games because we play for relaxation and often while watching TV or listening to a podcast. Jumbline allows choices of level of difficulty and timed or not. The format is tidy, lined up. The game works perfectly both on our iPad and Android cell phone. This is the best deal ever for a paid game: pay once and then not ever again. Perfect!

We completed 1184 levels in the 6 letter game. When we first started playing we would use cheats if we couldnt find the big word. About level 200 we decided that we would quit doing that. We learned that if we quit playing and then came back later, we could usually figure out the word. So we got to level 1185. We couldnt figure out the big word so we clicked on the button that we thought would take us to the next level. We were asked if we really wanted to quit the game and we said yes. So what happened? We were taken back to level 1 to start over again. Who knew that all those levels were part of ONE GAME! We wouldnt be so ticked if we would have understood that. We went back and read the description of the game and it is unclear that each level is only a part of ONE game. Anyway this is just a little information for someone who wants to play this. We dont really want to start over so Im debating on whether or not to continue playing. Yes, we could play the 7 word puzzles or the 6-expert but we wanted to see how many levels we could achieve. Oh well, we like the game, er levels but the lack of clear instructions cost it a star.

These developers make pretty games, and they run very well. If you choose the expert words at the seven letter longest word you are going to be challenged. The only gripe we have is the dictionary. At least half the time when we ask for a definition it wants to take us on to the internet. If youre going to do the dictionary then do all the words this half and half thing drives us nuts.

Not a fair word being foreign.

When was the last time the word list was updated? Why is the plural of a word OK, but the singular is not? Ex: Angoras = GOOD! Angora = BAD! Even when you tap the word for the definition and the definition is singular!! We love this game, and play it daily, but many of the word choices are just out there. And others that should be there are not. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve submitted a word. Nary a response, and never added to the list <just crickets>. Might be looking for a new game soon.

We were hooked on the old version on our iPad 4 and kept playing even though we had to shut it down and restart for each level. Finally caved with the new iPad and the latest version of Jumbline. Noticed three things that we wish were same as the old. Such as touch a letter and a jump to the end, running history tally of scores and adjust time to 2 1/2 minutes. Especially would like to select time, 2 minutes or no minutes not good enuf.

Weird obscure words. Not as much fun as earlier version. Dropping this game.

We love how you can choose how big the words get, what word list to use, and love the untimed mode. Small details we like: -Yummy-sounding music and chords increasing in key depending on the length of the word -The chord you get when finding the biggest word (That’s gonna be our ringtone) -The Star Tower (I wonder where the bricks come from) -The puffy, rosy clouds in the Cloud Pop Mode -The ability to see the clouds you missed The DELICIOUS-looking tiles (I wonder if they’re made out of cosmic matter?) -Those tiles seem much more delicious than the ping-pong balls in Text Twist -The fact that the game’s setting is not a blue background, or a red background, but THE SKY! -Heck, even the ‘incorrect’ sound is pleasing! You did good. No, we didn’t mean to say well. You did good for the iOS game community. Keep it up, guys!

Love this game with its options of word size. It really makes you think and we have been often surprised by how many words are often spelled with the letter combinations. Highly recommend it!

This is not only a fun game, but good for exercising and stimulating the brain.

We’ve been playing this game for several years now as our memory is declining. Im not perfect at it, but we do get a lot of them right, and we would say we are addicted to it. Best game so far that we’ve played.

We play this frequently while relaxing and passively watching tv in the evenings. It works flawlessly. The words are family friendly. Not too easy and not too hard. Its quite enjoyable.

There are so many everyday words you dont allow but you use all these electrical and chemical words that no one ever uses except perhaps scientists! What is the purpose? Expand the vocabulary and ditch the technical terms!!

This is a good game, providing a nice way to wile away some time, decompress after a busy day, and test vocabulary. The vocabulary is the problem! There are a number of legitimate words that are not accepted, and quite a few that are marginal (ex. "its" is a contraction that is accepted, but some other contractions are not; the word "nil" was not accepted, but has a clear, standard definition). In general, it’s a good games, but needs some vocabulary tweaking.

Uses too many non words. Does not react to finger touch so that you have to touch a letter multiple times to get it to register.

Why have you added obscure archaic word that cannot be confirmed, proper nouns and abbreviations? You have changed all of your standards and it has become really annoying to play. Im just not happy. This had become one of our favorite games, but not now!

We’ve tried just about all of these games, and this is, hands down, the best. The only problem is that it has words, occasionally, that are accepted one time, but not another. Can’t figure out why. And some words we challenge as being acceptable. We find that annoying, thus the 4 stars, rather than 5. It also allows proper nouns once in a while. They use the Scrabble dictionary, we’ve been told, which, we think, rarely allows questionable spellings. It also doesn’t have words that DO exist, but aren’t in its database. Words like "amerce" are in the database, while a common word like "cruet" isn’t. And, for some reason, all forms of the word rape are excluded. Now, rape is a horrible thing, but so are many words, like murder. Developers rape the land, too. To us, that’s censorship. We dont expect, or want, filthy language accepted, but some that they reject are just not "bad." we report words that aren’t included, but they never seem to make it into the database. And we believe that the words that apply to speciality groups shouldnt be included, but are. Words that are archaic and no longer used are in the database while common use words often aren’t. Having said its flaws, we still find it the best, and endless fun. It’s too bad more people don’t find this app. Everyone we’ve shown it to, wants it. Update: we accidentally hit the "advanced words" option and found the words were beyond ridiculous. We were upset, thinking they had changed the database of words. Brainium was terrific and let us know that we had the "advanced words" option turned on. You might want to check them out, just for fun. Take this as an FYI, in case you accidentally turn on the advanced words option, too. Update 2: we’ve played this game for MANY years now, and we still love it. We just wish they’d add words like cruet, rape, etc. They also started using wiktionary as its dictionary. We truly hate wiktionary. It is poorly set up, and seldom gives a good definition. For a long while Jumbline seemed to have its own dictionary, which we liked. Now, that is gone and you are directed to wiktionary. Boo, hiss. Use the one you had before. DUMP WIKTIONARY, please!

How do we get rid of the Welcome Back Banner. How to we turn off other banners as well?

Im glad this app was updated for latest iOS features alphabetical placement of words makes it easier to find more difficult ones .

Like the game, but repeats words too often.

If you liked TextTwist but are disappointed at what it became, Jumbline is what you are looking for! Love it!

We liked the original game better. We dont care for how the letters jump… Kind of hard on the eyes. Im not fond of the way moving the letters work now. It was perfect before. Some of the words that were accepted before are no longer accepted. Still enjoy the game but miss the old version.

We’re already addicted to this game. Great brain workout and we’ve learned some new words and what they mean. Kids can play it too since "bad" words aren’t recognized.

If you like anagrams then this is for you.

This is our favorite word game!

Love the game – play with the kids and on our own. Would like to see more words added – or have a chance to contribute words and definitions. Would be nice to have a hint function – like the first letter of a word.

Love this app! Playing it clears our mind of the day’s activities.

We play this game every day. As others have said it is weird that many words are not recognized on this game though. It is pretty challenging at times, but it keeps our brain working.

We love this game, play it every day. It’s something we can do even while watching the News. An excellent and challenging word game.

We are approaching our 86th birthday. This game is a fun way to work our brain! Thanks.

The wife and we often play the game together. As aging seniors, we are always looking for fun things that help the mind stay active. Watching TV , social media, etc won’t do it alone. As one review stated, the dictionary is a bit puzzling. A few words are Way out in left field, and others that have legitimate, non offensive uses are excluded. It seems the lowest common denominator is determining what is unacceptable, and that is just wrong.

Love this game once you learn the limited acceptable vocabulary words.

Works well. Keeps mind sharp. Wife disagrees.

We enjoy challenging our brain. Getting older so we need to use our mind and this game keeps us thinking!

This is a fun and relaxing word game. As Tony the tiger would say it’s great!!!

Like all of Brainium’s games the graphics are excellent — colorful and well-executed. The game play is fun and challenging. Very highly recommended! Note: some words are "archaic" — long since out of use, so don’t hesitate to try some unusual combinations of letters.

We really enjoy this game. This game helps us increase our vocabulary. The words are in alphabetical order . This helps us find all the words.

We have played this game for years and we love it. It is so much fun and there is a dictionary to learn the words that you are not familiar with.

A really wonderful game. We play it every night.

Can’t get enough of this game!

Excellent game and the favorite word game for our wife and myself. We play it much more often than anything else, in spite of the fact that the dictionary of acceptable words has always been, well, just bad. We can accept leaving out "adult only" words to keep the game family friendly, but many, many other words are also missing.

This is our go-to game. Anytime we have a spare few minutes, we’re playing Jumbline. We find it challenging. We look up any words we don’t know. It must be helping our brain.

Finally, a game that challenges the mind. We wish they would expand their word base and drop some of the archaic words, but we can’t stop playing it.

We find myself playing this multiple times a day whenever we have a few minutes or more.
