How to play Mahjong:

We purchased this app because we enjoyed it so much . Now that there are no adds , it has become very difficult if not impossible to play . The puzzles are extremely complicated to the point we question if they can be solved . We love a good challenge , but after struggling weeks with a board , we are certain it was unsolvable, but they assured us they could all be solved . In which case they need a button that shows how to solve a frustrating puzzle. Which at this point , most of them are . We wouldnt recommend purchasing this one.
This used to be a fun game. However with recent update or change to ads, the game is no longer fully playable. We are not complaining about ads, as we realize they are part of the game when not paying for the ad-free version. However there has been a change in the past few days – the banner ad is now static, it shows up all time while playing the game and it blocks the game content so all tiles and/or options cannot be seen and thus cannot be used. This happens whether the screen is portrait or landscape. Sadly we think will have to be deleting this and finding a different game developer app to use. We cant keep an app that we cant use to play the game.
Like the game, but adding re-shuffle would be nice.
A long overdue review. Great game! And once,when we did have an issue with a Daily Puzzle, we contacted Support. Vee was great and their team really worked on it. Also recommend FreeCell and Sodoku. Good brain workouts.
Ive had this game on our phone for more than five years. Our only critique is that we wish they would add some new patterns when they update the app.
We love the options to change the board and colors. The game is easy on the eye and a fun challenge to achieve the best time.
Legit the only game we ever play on our phone for Mahjong. Didnt know what it was before. All we want is to be able to go back and solve the daily puzzles we havent solved yet from prior months! Other apps will let you why not this one??? We get busy and then we miss daily puzzles. Then, when we have free time we want to go back and finish but cant. New month who dis. Please. We paid.
We love this game so much. We made it through all of the levels and wish it would be updated again to include more.
Fun to play with the brained ones.
Lately, we have had to delete the game and then restart it later due to an add sitting on top of the new game button. Its becoming very annoying. We like this game because of the variety of choices.

Are they ever going to make another update? We have completed everything in this game, even solving the daily puzzles every day for a year, not missing a single day. But now we have nothing left to do. Hopefully they add more to this game, otherwise its pretty much dead.
A lot of fun, plus its nice to be able to buy a permanent license and not to have to subscribe or watch ads! Which segues into our question: we bought the permanent license on our iPhone but when we downloaded it to our iPad it wasnt the licensed version. How do we get that version? Thanks.
There is a lot of variety, with different levels of difficulty and interesting patterns to discern. Some games take many repetitions to find the key moves; other games and patterns are solved more easily. NEVER BORING.
Not interested in joining Game Center. Pain in butt. Will watch descriptions more closely and never join if mentioned. NOT RELAXING.

In the mahjong game, the rewards tableau is way too small to see. Please make it bigger.
Clean looking, apparently easy at first, but sure enough it increases its challenge as progress is made. Sometimes the solution might be staring at you, but the moments drag until recognition, or worst still, the much last resort Hint is pressed, and Voila! So there it was all along? The designers have taken an elevated approach to the mahjong style of game, and made it pleasing to the eyes, while keeping the player engaged. Certainly a good exercise for the critical mind, and challenging enough to at times becoming mildly frustrating, but all this in a good way. Nice Game. 4.5 Stars.

Game functions well and the ads are non-intrusive. Easy to get sucked in and play all the time.
Ive been playing a long time without these annoying ads rendering the game inoperable.
Offer the ability to shuffle when youre out of moves. Another opportunity to force another video into the game.
Why is there no solution help when you havent been able to solve a puzzle? Its very frustrating to not be able to see the answer if needed.

We enjoy this version of Mahjong and play it regularly. Our first Brainium game was ilu, which we first downloaded after our Dad died with Alzheimer's and we wanted to find ways to keep our mind sharp. Several years and approaching 1.5 million crystals later, our ilu game is still elevating. It's still our favorite game, for hundreds of reasons about the design – the logic structure, the aesthetics, the levels, the tools, the daily challenge – all that AND we have the ad-free version so it is reliably good clean ad-free brain play. Not so with Mahjong: beautiful game design all around, so why not enable an ad-free version? We'd happily pay to buy into the joy of making mahjong part of our daily puzzle routine WITHOUT the over-abundant and TRULY ANNOYING ads. Thanks for all your brilliant games and for listening.
We love the app. But our old eye would appreciate if the game board zoomed in as tiles were eliminated.
Artistic, interesting, or colorful.
Great stress relief game that lets u relax with endless amounts of moves but it got boring really quickly in our opinion.
The actual gameplay is good except for the part where theres no shuffle button so if you dont want to replay the same level doing different things until you finally get the right version its a bit annoying. But we stopped playing because it kept showing your iphone has been infected ads and im not interested in accidentally clicking a phishing or spam link when trying to exit out of one of those. They need to screen the ads better.
We love the game especially when the ads are not shown after every game! It used to not be after every game!? Now, every time the bird game pops up as an ad, we have to shut our phone all the way down and find the game because there is no way to get out of the bird game ad!!? We may have to delete or wait to see if you fixed it!!? Sorry we do love the games but we cant continue with restarting our phone completely and having each game with adds its not relaxing then! Please fix this so it is fun and relaxingpretty please? Thank you.
The pop up ads block the hints and replay game at the bottom of the screen – these never used to be there.
The app started crashing this morning when opening.
We havent played it a lot but what we have played we really like it.
The title says it all. We absolutely love this version of Mahjong! We play for hours. The only problem we have is the very first time we played it gave us a time score of 45 seconds. Each board does the same. We have played over 500 games and have never broken any of our first times to play. They are testing your intelligence that you would eventually figure it out that the first time you play (45 seconds for instance) will never ever be achieved again because the game is rigged! We know by timing ourselves we have beaten several of our old times many times over yet each time it will say it took way longer to complete the game! We suppose its to try and keep you playing, trying to beat your old record. When you realize you never will as it is rigged, you give up on trying to beat it. So now, we play for pleasure rather than competion against ourselves. Its a good game. Ads arent even bad. We think thats one other thing that keeps us coming back. So download it, enjoy it, and leave the competitiveness at home.
Shame on Brainium. We enjoy the game and we dont mind the advertisements. However, they just ran an add that faked an Apple Alert Your iPhone is Highly Damaged. Update Security App Now iPhone Store with Logo. Shame on Brainium.
Im happy to just pay for an app, but $12 to turn off ads is pretty steep. The game well-designed & aesthetically pleasing, but the ads are loooong and they are between every board. The search for the right app continues.
We love to play this game. The graphics are beautiful. But we absolutely loathe bing stalled or interrupted by the obnoxious come ons for other games we will never download, like Royal Match. We came to the App Store to see if we could pay to stop them from appearing, but we dont see a way. Without the incessant interruptions it would be *****.
