Clean looking, apparently easy at first, but sure enough it increases its challenge as progress is made. Sometimes the solution might be staring at you, but the moments drag until recognition, or worst still, the much last resort Hint is pressed, and Voila! So there it was all along? The designers have taken an elevated approach to the mahjong style of game, and made it pleasing to the eyes, while keeping the player engaged. Certainly a good exercise for the critical mind, and challenging enough to at times becoming mildly frustrating, but all this in a good way. Nice Game. 4.5 Stars.

This game is one that creates a challenge that hooks you in. The stopping once you start.

The game is great, but there are so many pop-up ads we cant play it. Please make another ad-free version. Ill pay to NOT have ads.
We really enjoy the daily puzzle and have been playing it for quite some time. Lately, however, the ads have been taking too long to close. And most have a second screen that is timed also before it can be closed. We think most people know if they are interested in an advertised product quickly and there is no need to take so long before being able to close the ad. And then, if a move in the game is reversed, another ad often appears. Any pleasure playing the game is obliterated by the very annoying long and frequent ads. Must delete game.
We used to enjoy this, but the number of ads is insanity. You cant even undo a play without watching an ad. Deleting. Wont be coming back.
Im not a darn idiot! Let us shut off the freaking guide! You lose a star. ____ Privacy matters and we dont want you tracking us. There is an option asking NOT to track for a freaking reason and your company is making it abundantly obvious. QUIT ASKING! Im NOT letting you track us!
Maybe we’ve missed the point, but all this seems to be is match the same pictures and you win like a preschool game. Perhaps Im being hasty in our review, but the game has not offered any new rules aside from this and its massively disappointing if thats the case. We were also hoping for an app that taught us how to play real mahjong. If you like matching pretty pictures, this is the game for you.
After reinstall 12 ads free option disapeared and app want us to pay again.
Really a bummer when you pay $11.99 for the no ad version and all it does is bombard you with advertisements after one game.
We purchased this app to eliminate ads. It worked great for a time. But now the ads are back, and the "restore purchases" button is grayed out and inoperable. Buyer beware.
Stable, clean, ad free. Its really enjoyable when a developer doesnt use an overly pop culture candy colored hyper stimulating color scheme. Brainium is has done everything right. We have all their games.
Its perfect in every way! Challenging and easy at the same time. Variety and levels. Amazing set up. Nothing bad at all. Perfect ratio of ads!!!!! One of our favorite parts is there is not an ad every 30 seconds!!!!

The game itself is good but the ads after every single game are too much to take. They go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. The same ones. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
We were frustrated because we kept hitting dead ends and couldnt understand why they say every puzzle is solvable. Thanks to the Developer for responding. Now we understand. Its still, off and on, frustrating, but we’ve never played this game before and Im learning.

This game is the best we can play for hours it takes our mind off of everything, the backdrops are really soothing, the board shapes are so cool, and we get really tense about beating our high score we also play solitaire sometimes. We took 1 star off because the ads are really annoying so can you please take off the ads, thank you.
We are going to delete this game that we really like because the ad for the disgusting doctor game is making us sick. We’ve seen it at least twice in three last few minutes of playing, and it makes us want to vomit. Just thought you should know.

We get the how about this game? In your face all the time, but the shopping ads so frustrating. Game froze up when we tried to click close. The game itself offers more challenges than most. Too bad we have to delete.

In the daily puzzle if we slide the dot back to the beginning the puzzle shows up as original. But the entire game locks up. Only Halleys after the first failed attempt. When we restart the app it all works fine. Tell the programmer its probably an initialization error.
We have been having so a lot of problem with this game this month! Its been freezing up almost every game. We have too double click and slide the screen up what a pain plus it better not hurt our iPad! This is a fun game otherwise. Jan E. This is an update to upper review. We updated our iPad and it said said it may require us to turn off our tablet. So did turned it off and was a lot better, it still freezes up now and then! We love this game & Brainium is our #1 go-to app for games. But Several recent reviews complain about 30+ second ads, & this has happened to us repeatedly. We understand having to watch ads to get a free app, but that is nuts. Plus after hitting X another ad (or the App Store) opens. And in general it freezes pretty frequently, & yes we offloaded the app. Whoever responded saying you only have 5-7 second ads implies the reviewers are wrong about the crazy long ads, but nope. It happens maybe every ~15th ad (I play hours worth of games daily, it is our zen ;P). One improvement Id love to see – we had this goal to complete every daily game this year, but having completed all Jan games except 1 (& spent 5+ hours trying to solve it, grumble), as of today Jan is longer accessible. Can you fix that? Thank you!!
We love this version of Mahjong because this game helps to strengthen & exercise our brain! Our mental acuity is important to maintain especially since we are in our 60s! This game sharpens our concentrating stamina when we solve the puzzles in the least amount of time! Try it and See!
Its very relaxing, but still gives you a challenge. It is an awesome puzzle game, and we really recommend it for anyone out there looking for a challenge.
We have a love hate relationship with this game. It is the most challenging of this type of game. We love when we win, but hate when we are almost at the end and the pathway doesnt work and we have to start all over. But, that is what makes it so challenging. The other games of this genre are just too easy.
We downloaded so many different Mahjong apps before sticking to this one, the problems we had with other ones included things like this: timers, highlighting playable tiles without the option to turn that off, long ads, messy design setup, and little to no options. We’ve only been playing for less than 24 hours but we can already tell that this specific Mahjong app was by far the closest thing we were looking for. So far we have zero complaints.
