Community Insight:
Saw this mentioned in a newsletter from BumbleBear Games who created this game for the Mintz Group. Really fun and FREE.
Fun little game. We hope they make more.
Excellent game! This is a simple and entertaining game that considers implements game theory concepts in a satirical manner. The developers deserve kudos for meticulously detailing the cards with a backstory. After downloading a player that takes the time to understand the algorithm can find this game very entertaining through the mixture of random and calculated game play in a very simple layout. Genius.
And slyly educational about the important work this group does.
This game is better than chess. At first our heart would pound and we felt a bit guilty. However, over time, we realized game strategies that are revealed and it never gets old. This isnt a quick play. You can go for days, possibly weeks. There is no time pressure, only deep rationalization. Not only are you learning a skill to identify corruption links, you also learn to minimize your corruption to get ahead. Awesome graphics, know the grid. Its free, its dark. It doesnt save stats or top levels. Its once chance at longevity. You literally have to pick your moments in life to play and you must maintain a focus. We hope they make more tools like a madlib where you fill in real peoples info we connections and it gives a full real life investigative scenario.
Really fun game. Got to meet the game developers at bumble bash 3. Had a great time this game is definitely one of our favorites.
This game burrows into your brain. Great stuff. Tried it at Indiecade and immediately downloaded on our phone.
Kleptocrat, good game, the best game. This surprisingly clever game will teach you how to covfefe.
Neat game, quick playing. Seems all too relevant these days.
Very cool to see such a high risk game out there that also makes you think.
Takes a few plays to get the hang of, which then becomes a really fun and satisfying game! Good to play on our morning commute to get the heart pounding :).
Really interesting game with hilarious content. Surprisingly educational too.
We love this game. It's not only fun to play but we're learning a lot about dictators hide money in the real world. SUPER COOL.
Fun card game and fun subject matter.
We have a deep interest in AML/CFT anyway, so this naturally piqued our interest. It's a card game setup, and is really easy to pick up. Shows how moving dirty money works and how kleptocrats essentially stay ahead of investigators. Fun, entertaining, and educational for all levels.
We got from the card text that it would add to card a number of black squares equal to the number of red squares that it had, but instead it added one black square to all cards with at least one red square.
Interesting and fun for about one session of game play but once you start unlocking cards the it becomes extremely easy and horribly repetitive. We've now reined for 21 terms without loosing, over the course of about three sessions, and am totally bored with it. We're only giving it three stars out of respect for the organization who made this and their real world fight against governmental corruption.
This addictive strategy game has some clever tricks, but needs some work to flesh out errors like "enjoy" cards being completely eliminated during game play (thus, no place to move your money without dumping a card to an investigator), or by setting up game start with the investigator adjacent to the only "take" card. Some strategy goes a long way, but you can't win when the game hasn't been balanced properly.
