This game is for people like us whom love dnd but cannot find a group or cannot cooperate with others. We love it for times we cant find a good game to play without working with others and lasts long but is the right level for us. The developers are the best for making it free.

Fun but sad that the original knights 2 store bought item wont pass over to new game.

Its the one of the few mobile rpgs that are actually fun the way you gain new people for your party and it feels more like an actual rpg than most other mobile rpgs overall its a great mobile game.

Its very fun and perfect for people who like TTRPs!!!!! It doesnt have the same races and stuff as most ttrpgs but it also has new stuff!

No forced ads, f2p (not in the bad way) paying speeds up unlock progress, but isnt required, feels like a dnd session.

We LOVE this game, we mean, thats all that really needs to be said, but youre still reading this, so we guess we should talk about a few of our gripes and why this isnt 5 stars, lets start off with some of the good? Its a fantastic classical adventure, with a funny and interesting story, we like the systems and the game looks REALLY clean, the biggest gripe we have is that there isnt really a way to grind for/farm diamonds, there used to be a way where you would force the game closed after beating the daily dungeon, but they patched that, and now the most you can get is 20 diamonds a day, when everything in the shop is 200-1000 diamonds? We feel like this unnecessary time gating in a single player game for this type a thing is a bit weird. Otherwise, great game, 8/10 do recommend, there are a couple other things, but its mostly just somewhat greedy devs tryna inch out as much money from you that they can.

Im not gonna lie if it was easier to get money or XP the game would be better, we find myself constantly needing to grind so hard all because we cant pay for more characters or pay to have the full edition and get the better gold and exp boosts that come with the upgrade. We know its cheap but not everyone can afford it especially at the moment. Great game otherwise, just be a little more considerate of Brokies like myself. We just wanna enjoy your great game without the endless grind.

Im unable to cancel the paper knight mission at steam flats. When we press the exclamation point it teleports us to steam flats no matter where Im at and the battle begins. Im not currently strong enough to beat it.

They make everything cost way to much in game and added a form of in game currency thats only accessible through real life currency. Half your characters are blocked off. It seems strongly like the creators of this didnt understand the appeal of the original game.

Took the game and made it horribly covered in micro transactions after making it delisted from its 4.99 cost.

So the ads and thought this would be a fun game, it would be without all the grinding you have to do to be able to play one mission, then back to grinding for 30 mins, everything cost money, to move to different towns and revive characters, and starting equipment costs around 30,000 when you get 150 tops per fight, its just sad.

Entertaining, but late game combat introduces an awful random difficulty curve and multiple bugs. At lvl 30 there is an enemy called Attack Beaver that has a high crit chance and gets an extra attack each time it crits. This means that no character in the game can survive their attack if they get lucky (and they will). On top of that, if they kill a character via this crit chain then the game can soft lock and no one will ever get another turn, forcing you to restart. We discovered this in a quest fight where you have to fight 3 of them at once immediately after another fight. They killed our entire party except mage and soft locked the game with one enemy left right before the mages turn. We wouldnt spend any money on this. Play through the base content, then move on.

  1. When deleting the game is clearly labeled in the files as F2P meaning this is a version different from what youd find on pc. 2. Combat is woefully unrewarding. -cant even buy armor or weapons beyond the basics after 20+ battles. 3. Threat rating is completely broken -you get crit far to often by enemys, your low HP low threat units get targeted often despite being 1% threat rating. Theres so many more problems.. Take our word for it as somebody who played the original. They clearly got predatory with this.

This game used to be amazing. Like really good. Then management changed, or they sold it to another company that butchered it. The reviews got so low. They changed it from a free game with a few purchases to a super Grindy pay to win cash grab. So what did they do since the game tanked and was now famous for being a cash grab? They just re-released it to try to erase all the negative reviews and made it cheaper with even more ads. Then in the game it asks you to leave a review. And hence why the current score is 4.7, but then go read the actual reviews and everyone says its trash. Essentially they found a loophole to erase their old low score by re releasing. Go check out the version upgrade history and youll see how it just starts at a later version than 1.0 lol.

We just grinded this game for hours but we were forced to stop after a story mission forced us into lockpicking a chest that we didnt want to lockpick, causing a mimick to kill our entire party except for one meaning we have to grind to get enough gold for three characters. Our weakest lvl 2 mage survived and keeps dying but we cant do a party revive because she is goth.

Game overmonitized the pc version. Better off getting the original on steam for a fixed price on sale and a better gameplay experience.

It was fun until we encountered a slime that took a half an hour to kill and gave a pitiful amount of experience. The entire game is just not very balanced well and its clear why the developers did this, so they could make more money from charging players to speed up this ungodly slow game play. More dungeons and less pointless grinding, just tweak rewards for fights and it would probably be our favorite game on the App Store.

Id rather spend a few dollars to not have ads to travel or for daily gifts etc. It just feels like advertising is ruining everytbing.

Lost our save files during their "transitions" but grinding early game seems easier now? Feel like im making alot more money faster than before, maybe im just more optimed with our wizard theift condition x2 combo rn… Who knows.

Cant believe all the hype about this game. We played for like 3 minutes and on top of all the annoying ads, its pay to win. Glad we found out early (in three minutesLOL!). Another horrible game by another horrible developer. DICE ROLL = 20. YAY! You have successfully deleted this crap game.

Absolute banger for free, might even be inclined to purchase an upgrade.

There was a time where this costed 4.99 like the prequel it was free then became 4.99 then its free again but you have to pay for currency and upgrades. The game is a masterpiece but the fact they were not afraid to turn a once completely free game into a premium all the sudden then fix it but make it so its ad ridden and a very p2w game. Im convinced the developers have no shame and Im wondering how it would impact its future, especially because the gameplay is 5/5*s 10/10 points good but as said Im worried for its future.

Let us start by saying we’ve never played any of the other versions of this game, but we have been aware of it for some time and was excited to see it show up on the App Store. The gameplay is excellent as many have said before its a really fun very addictive game but we dont know how, well that will remain in our gameplay loop seeing as there is no pay-to-own premium version of this game meeting, you will always have to suffer with ads or exorbitant pricing for endgame currencies that essentially never go away. Meaning, that this could turn into a very extremely expensive source of entertainment very quickly we’ve read other reviews that this game is significantly more grinding than previous versions and we can attest that we have had to do a lot of extra grinding for experience just to complete quests. Im currently stuck on a quest. We cant seem to finish and we dont know how many levels Im going to have to grind until we qualify. Of course, the game offers you lots of ways to advance without grinding that are very very expensive. There are options in this game for $50 plus for endgame currencies that youre going to use immediately and immediately need more meaning a person could easily spend 100s of dollars in a matter of days. If not hours its just ridiculous. This should have a premium version we should be able to pay five or $10 and then just play the game and never have to worry about any of that other stuff. Heck if you want that bad charge 15 or 20 like if you think youre on the same level as Final Fantasy but come on guys we would be really surprised if they have good player retention.

Im not sure if you will read this, but we have epilepsy and would greatly appreciate it if you would let us turn off the flashing lights, especially the ones for the Clerics divine judgement. We truly enjoy the game otherwise.

Very fun game, but the grind is insane. Like past the point of an understandable grind, it takes us two real life days to get our level up to a satisfactory point between the story mission, and side missions are very few and far between. 5% of your time playing this game youre going to be searching for the best battle to balance between XP and difficulty to gain the max amount of XP in a short time and 90% of it youre going to be in these battles grinding, with the other 5% dedicated to actual content. It seems Im always fairly under leveled as well, even when our average party level is 4-6 levels above the requirement. They offer a really good deal on gems (its their game, so within the crafted store of their world its a good deal) that we decided to purchase so we could unlock the first expansion pack. We thought getting the expansion pack would add a lot of content and since its designed for characters a little underneath our level, we figured it would give us a significant boost and be fairly easy. That has been a major letdown so far. For the most part its just a couple blips on the already existing map, which you can almost barely click on due to the GUI, features a few new enemies, but for the most part theyre just reskins of old enemies. Also supposed to unlock a monk class, and havent seen that at all yet, hoping it comes later, but in most games when you buy a pack and unlock a class you have immediate access to it. The dialogue in the game is good but repetitive outside of story content, the artwork is awesome and besides the grinding the actual gameplay is very fun. This is a game we wouldve been happier to pay for outright rather than download for free and be plagued with microtransactions. For the game itself its a 5/5, but like most games its been likely intentionally slowed down in terms of progress and geared to make you purchase things, so 3/5 overall in our opinion.

TL;DR – this game is super fun but used to be better before new management got greedy. First of all, new players: this game is a fun little D&D-lite game that allows you to waste away the countless hours you spend on the toilet in a given month or two. Its worth a download and our opinions expressed for the rest of the review are on behalf of myself only. This is NOT the first version of this game to exist on the App Store and, we believe, this is the source of our view on this game as it stands now. What you need to understand is that THIS version of the game is very grind-focused to encourage a player to spend real money in a way that wasnt present before. We had the opportunity to play the original free app published by Paradox Interactive themselves and we thoroughly enjoyed it; we got everybody we knew playing that game. We dont know a single person that didnt spend money to unlock things. This version hits different The gameplay feels modified. It seems like the gold drop rate is lower while all of the store prices are significantly higher, forcing you to either spend hours grinding for gold to buy items for your level or (as you would expect) buy gold with real money. Except. Here is the kicker: You cant buy gold with real money you can only buy gold with diamonds and you buy diamonds with real money. Why is that a problem? We hear the one person reading this review asking.. Well because what they have done here is try to confuse you so that you dont know how much real money is worth in this game. Let us tell you about what Im facing currently in our game.. We have been playing this version of the app for a few hours now. We have been trying our best to optimize our time to get as much XP and gold as possible to keep myself relatively OP. Trust us, you do NOT want the death toll to start catching up with you. Right now, we are lvl 9. We have the option to buy a shirt in the shop that is only SLIGHTLY BETTER than what we currently have equipped. This shirt costs about 18,000 gold. We can buy 16,500 gold right now with 300 diamonds. Assuming that we have 0 gold or diamonds, we must spend $10 to get 480 diamonds and spend 350 diamonds to get the gold we need for a mediocre shirt.. Its all smoke and mirrors. This is the flaw of the game in the current state. They made the previous version absolutely unplayable so that fans have no choice but to go to this one. They dont expect new players at this point.. They expect people that are already familiar with this game to download it and play it for nostalgia. Then they jack up all of the prices to make you spend over $100 playing it unless you want a 40 hour game to become a 400 hour game. Its an insult to the fan base and we take it as one. Dear Developers, please consider this suggestion what if you put the additional races and classes in as paid DLC and let players enjoy the base game as it was intended? We would happily give you $5-10 for the other classes if the balance in gameplay was restored. That is far more than you will get from us with the current business model.

Its a good game, however, you have to grind between literally every story mission. The enemies are always way stronger than you for what seems to be no reason. Youll work hard for level ups to add 50-60 damage tops to an ability, only for your enemies to hit for 200+ with basic attacks. Not to mention that if you want to buy items from the shop without using REAL money youll be grinding for quite a while to get anything actually useful. Another game free with purchases of more than $10. We would of rather you charge us $5 for the game and just made it balanced and not an obvious shill to get in app purchases out of us to progress. First game was 100x better, and its a shame to see this title go so far into the realm of bad mobile games.

The menu at the top is hidden behind the speaker. Looks like a fun game just cant play.

We spent our diamonds on chest, but the items never made it into our inventory!

Ill pay for this game, but we wont give a cent for in game purchases. Youre way too proud of your garbage game.

It was an amazing sequel before they butchered it to make a freemium game. Booooo.

We have this exact version on PC. We’ve soaked tons of hours into it and loved it. But the developers or marketing are being complete $@&bags when it comes to the purchases. Also guess what folks, its a metric ton harder than the PC version, why you ask? Well they can sell heals for cold hard cash. We can just hear this being said in some marketing meeting. We understand you want to make a buck, but this is just disgusting. We guess its our (customers) own fault for trying to support games by making purchases. It was only a matter of time before it got straight up ignorant. We know the devs and team could care less about one customer, but personally Im not spending a dime on this dev or publisher going forward and this will make a nice water cooler convo on the absolute greed games have come too. Of course Im not in the gaming sector, just your standard software development arena. But word of mouth can be a heck of a thing these days and Im sure Im not the only one noticing this. Also we know your lastest offering is sitting in the mostly negative rating on Steam. Might be something to think about, this mobile app move and your latest offering, might be time to consider who you have driving the ship as they are doing an epically lousy job Good luck devs!

Played the original pen and paper for years, always grinding for the game room upgrades. Now there is no possible way to earn premium currency without paying exorbitant prices for gems. Very depressing whats been done to a once 5/5 game.

As others have written, too much of a grind. If youre appropriately leveled and have threat minimized on your weakest char, guess who always, always, always gets crit one-shot in the first attack? Just charge $10 and stop lying about threat percentages.

The game is very grindy. Not like the prequel. Also we can never close the ads. It plays, ends and sits there. There is no button to close it. We did a bunch of grinding and a character died. We can watch an ad to revive but since the ad never ends, we have to close and open the game and our character is still dead. So Im forced to spend all of the gold that we just grinded for. Unfun.

First we had play this game before, and we unlock all the resources that need diamond to buy, and we have already have if our character to about 30+ level. Then the game get remove. New company run the game Nowhere to store the file Game in the past is gone Overall we like this game, but so far what u doing is disappointed the player.

The fact that this is a freemium play to win game negates any goodwill we might have had due to the previous games. Im not getting sucked into a game that manufactures frustration as a monetization strategy.

Its sad to see a game we grew up playing turn into another unbalanced, free pay 2 play game with no shame. The original game had so much character and care into each decision. Now Im just left with a bad taste in our mouth after playing.
