Nice graphics and some fresh ideas on the puzzles and hidden object sessions.

Finally, a slick and professional, creative game! Too many mediocre games preceded it. Beautiful graphics, very engrossing plot, very creative puzzles and HOGs, very fast refresh rate (1 second), wonderful sound track, hidden objects to find are owls and various people, excellent animation. The only downside is the Apple Task Bar on the bottom of the screen. We love this game and didnt want it to end! More, please!

We are loving playing this game… Its such a smooth running game.. The puzzles are fun instead of being ridiculously difficult. We wish more of these IPad games were like this one.

Great art – reasonable tools – they make sense. Nice story. Good HOP. Fun mini games.

Played twice and the third time it froze and wouldnt let us open it again. Very disappointing.

We love Maria Glorum games. They are fun and enjoyable. We will look forward to the next. Key West Jessa.

Interesting story line and creative puzzles.

The characters actually walk very realistic rather than glide. The story is good and the clues are great. Most of the mini puzzles are easy to solve but some require lots of trial n error.

So grateful for your game. Before we bought this one, we were playing another mystery game. It was so boring. We’ve always loved big fish games. Thank you.

Nice game. Fun with good music.

Enjoyed Very much – Storyline along with the tasks that are needed to progress are logical in navigating. Hidden objects scenes are interactive and fun. Puzzles were on the simplistic side, but nonetheless unique in their own way. There is a morphing object to collect, as well as a teleporting map. Character voiceovers were good. You also have the option of a using a cute little helper. Whatever you choose it does not effect gameplay. Also you choose your own voice, female or male which is a nice touch. It’s a game to have fun with – Play & Enjoy!!! Looking forward to more releases as this last dry spell, we were having Gaming withdrawals lol. Hopefully, Big Fish will always include a New Release for us regular players in the future for their holiday sales. 10 days with No New Game was way too Long! Thanks to the developers for this fun latest installment of this series. KdBoots *Note to Big Fish – Hopefully you read these reviews. Very disappointed not to see a New Release for Sunday – like you usually have done. 1 game a week is not enough. There shouldn’t be any reason why we IPad gamers are being slighted with lack of games being released. We thought 2 games a week were skimpy – now 1, this is worse yet. Not sure why your doing this, but it would be nice to let your loyal paying Big Fish followers know why? Lynx – Your not alone, we have been contacting them regarding this lack of games. We too suggest other fellow gamers chime in and make our request be heard. This 1 game a week is ridiculous, not to mention how long we had to wait for a New Game because of the so called Easter Sale. We are Very disgusted as well!!!! Glad to hear we are not the only one. If you noticed League of Light first said sale price till Sunday and then they changed it to Wednesday. We just dont get it????

So much more than Hidden Objects. Game is long and there is a wide variety of puzzles that are challenging. Great purchase.

Glad to finally see a BFG with iPhone X support. The game looks beautiful only marred by crApples piss poor decision to leave that ugly task switcher icon on all the time (not the fault of any developer). Nonetheless, this is a fantastic game. Love it.

We keep on playing these games and its because of that adorable scarecrow! We love that scarecrow and how it helps you on your missions. The plots and mini-games are interesting and even though it feels short because you have played it so many times, its still fun to play! A recommended game!

First, let us state that we are NOT AFFILIATED at all with the developer. We are not compensated for reviews. We started playing adventure puzzle games about 5 months ago and being home due to Pandemic, we have lots of time so have played about 30 of these types of games. Many are terrible due to vague clues, puzzles where you have no idea what to do or bad story lines, etc. The Room Games and DaVinci were our favorites and this game is up there with them. We can never understand why ALL games dont allow hints, clues or skip puzzles as OPTIONS? Let the player turn these features on if he wants. The developer should NOT omit these from the games. Let the player decided if he wants to use these. We played a very good game (Eyes of Ara) only to be forced to quit at the end since we cannot find one last key emblem needed. And would have to watch hours of YouTube walkthroughs to find where we missed it. Stupid. Give us the option to at least skip that so we can progress. Big Fish has given us these options to perfection here. They give you the options (in many different ways) if you WANT hints or help. Gameplay is fun and entertaining. Excellent story, graphics, music and sound. The puzzles are fun and not too difficult. This game is like a good book… Cant put it down!

We did enjoy the game and didnt think it was overly short. Maybe not as long as some but also not ridiculously short like some are saying. Maybe they skipped some puzzles? Cut scenes? Which will shorten the game. Otherwise, it had everything we look for in this genre and no glitches. Better than average game. Our big question is why did we go a week without a new game and why didnt we get a new Sunday night/Monday game this week? Are we back to the one game a week crap again? Bf has become so inconsistent and not reliable! Used to be a new game every day then two a week and now its whenever it fancies them? Ugh! There are limited games like these available so depend on you!

Just started but entertained. Give it a try. Notice: this may not be as short as we think. Last chapter and bonus chapters are both long ones. Even so, we are restricting how many chapters we play per day to get us thru the weekend.

Im relieved to have found a game thats fun and holds our interest.

Probably the best game we’ve played so far.

We personally loved the game. We didnt find it short at all- as other players seemed to. We also thought it was a blast to play. Lots of different puzzles and the graphics were excellent. We thought the storyline was kind of different too. Two thumbs up for us.

Another good game from Big Fish.

This is a really fun one. Two special features: You can choose whether to use a little buddy or not; and something we always want- during games you can get a hint rather than having to skip the whole game. And games are fun and quite varied. Whether you like this better or not, you finish scenes rather soon and there is less running around. It is easier that way but less challenging. (That was a little redundant..). Kudos to you if you can follow some kind of storyline. However, there is a ton of storyline and cut-away scenes, so it is exciting. It is pretty glitchy as you can try to do something many times before you succeed. The star removed is because there is Not. One. Female. Character. In the entire thing. Really, was this on purpose? The closest it came was a grave site where one stone was labeled daughter, and the other, wife. Who writes these things? Are we in a time warp? Did anyone notice the 1950s are over? This during Big Fish supposedly celebrating Womens History Month!

This is the best game we’ve played in quite awhile. Even the trial part was long enough to make us confident we would enjoy the rest of the game. We had trouble making the ending work, though, so we took off one star for that.

Its odd that we were thinking that we had not had a game from Mariaglorum in ages and after 10 days with no new game, this was distributed. We generally love this series, but we had a few quibbles with this game, albeit nothing major. You could customize settings. You were able to pick a voice for your protagonists gender. Although there was no cohesive journal, objectives were regularly updated. The graphics were muted, and not very crisp. The cut-scenes had a lot of pixelation. However, we have seen that issue with other developers, such as Domini, and we didnt allow it to ruin our gaming experience. This developer provides a back button (unlike ERS/AMAX) so you cant accidentally back tap to a prior location. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. Utilization of inventory was extremely easy because this developer lets you click on the tool and then the area in which you need to use it; there was no need to drag it! You also had the option of utilizing your adorable baby scarecrow to help you reach inaccessible items. A marked teleport map was included to transport you instantaneously between locations, and indicated if a collectible was present. The collectibles included an owl emblem at each location and several statuettes. There werent all that many locations but there was a plethora of tasks at each. The HO scenes had variation, but there was no alternative puzzle offered. There were many puzzles/games. Many were rotational, but there were also codes, labyrinths, and magical books to solve to learn more of the storyline. The storyline was one we have seen time and again, certainly not anything original. However, we found this game amusing and enjoyable to play. Gameplay was extremely smooth and glitch-free. The only issue we noted was that the map was on occasion a bit touch-sensitive. Other reviewers complained about length. Compared to the other games in this series this was markedly shorter; however this game was still a lot longer than the game we got 10 days ago from Elephant (Wise Dragon). Our review will stand at 4 stars. We deducted a star for length and also because we felt that many of the puzzles/games were somewhat simplistic. We still enjoyed this game and would really like to receive more games from Mariaglorum. BigFish, we need games from other developers, not just AMAX, EIPIX, Elephant and Mad Head. Can you look at other developers and get more from Domini, BOOLAT, Boom Zap, Four Friends, Friendly Cactus and Crazy Grandma? You need a bigger pool of developers! We need more games! Happy gaming to all! UPDATE: Great, just fabulous! This game is on sale until Wednesday, which probably means we wont get a new game until next Thursday, an entire week with only one new game! Seriously, BigFish, are you going to start giving us only one game per week again? People will be extremely dissatisfied if you do so! Reviewers, we strongly suggest that you start complaining. We cant fight alone! Note to K-Rano: we believe that your remark stating that you wont write a novella was directed towards us as well as KimTwilight. It was snide and unnecessary. At least we write a complete review explaining the major game features, which is extremely helpful for other gamers, especially those new to this genre and method of gameplay. Im quite sure that KimTwilight shares our viewpoint as well, since she puts a tremendous amount of thought and effort into her reviews. Kindly keep your snide remarks to yourself!

This is one of the better games, we really enjoyed playing!

Super fun story! They tie together the Pied Piper of Hamlin and the League if Light. Minus one star for the weird toolbar: you have to tap the item to use it. If you try to drag the item the game pauses or tries to close. Weird!

There is a part early in the game, where two different openings on two different levels end up in one room, in one building, instead of ending in two different places,… Gee, a missed chance for some HOG fun! We loved the STORY… Thats all Im saying! Art is great….. It is a bit Spooky! More later….

We wont write a Novella in our review! We bought this game… Is it the best, we’ve ever played, no! We bought this game because we were entertained and it was worth that. Yes, pretty much the puzzles are simple to solve. We do like the interactive HOA. Again, download the game and give it a try. You may like it.

This game is okay but we would not buy any of these games to play on our iPhone or any phone for that matter. It is hard to see much of anything. Maybe, a time management game but not a search game. It was so difficult. We play these on our computer where we can see everything.

The story is good and the puzzles are good, IF the glitches dont start. Then you cant do anything.

Its rather boring. And it is very much one of those find amulet, insert amulet, repeattype of games. No innovation, story just not interesting, no character development. Honestly bonus game had more spark to it. Very disappointed.

Over all pretty good, but seems pretty short.

To short and to easy. Bad anding. Sorry this is your worst one.

Overall game worked well. However, ending was about as lame as it could be. Mini games were more of the same. Game play was awkward at times, had to try something many times before it would finally decide you had chosen correctly. Have played better games.

Based on the completion of the demo only: Sorry, but this is not the level of gameplay that we expect to become enamored with after waiting ten days for a new and exciting release. The storyline is both predictable and absurd; however, we won’t give it away. In our opinion, the overall production is inadequate. The cut-scenes are fuzzy. The scant background music does little to enhance the foreboding ambiance. Likewise, the occasional environmental sounds namely, the startling torturous screams seem inefficacious. Inventory usage is predictable and tedious too many keys that open drawers, chests, etc. The teleport map, in custom mode, will transport you to labeled locations that indicate available actions. Furthermore, the map marks the locations in which you can discover a collectible. We are graced by a "back" button in both the HOSs and the locations to obviate unwarranted back and forth travel. The game is technically sound. Transition is speedy, and we did not encounter any glitches. During the free trial, there are enough HOSs and puzzles to determine that the gameplay lacks innovative qualities and reasonable challenge. The assorted HOSs are interactive, and they are creatively executed; we love those "Find and Use" fashions. However, they are devoid of trend-setting techniques. The puzzles present a dearth of challenge; they are mindlessly solvable and boring. The collectibles are well blended into the background; an indicator is located on the right side of the inventory bar. A positive aspect is that this developer affords us the rare opportunity to choose from several vocal options including one to disable the voice for the Protagonist. After sampling both the male and female options, we went with the omnipresent female voice. The voice of the male was downright bizarre low-pitched, hasty, and jittery. The developers erred in the programming of the vocal options because the depiction of the male avatar that appears while your character is thinking is incompatible with the female voice, if chosen. Another interesting option is that you can choose to use a helper throughout the game it does not affect gameplay or the storyline. We think that the total playtime of this game is going to be short-lived. Even with the steady back and forth, we still flew through each location, completing each task in breakneck speed. After the free trial, we were left unimpressed by the novice-leveled difficulty, as well as the mundane gameplay, and hence the inability of the free trial to persuade us to purchase the game.

This appeared like a great game, however, we cant seem to keep the game in casual mode, it keeps jumping back to custom. We dont have the patience for this. Hope it can be fixed. We will delete and re-install again, but if this continues, we will be done. This is the second game we have not been able to start and complete passed the first couple of screens. Just re-installed and now, after a couple of screens, there is a tool you need from a previous screen, the tool has disappeared! Deleted until there is a fix.

We enjoyed the game but right now its hard to give a decent review when pop ups repeatedly said this game was on sale for $2.99 or a 55% discount but instead we were charged $6.99! We will come back & write a real review if Big Fish responds to our email & refunds us our $4.00. If we dont come back and change this review expect to be charged $6.99 like we were! Shame on you Big Fish for falsely advertising a sale price then charging the full price!!! Added Note… In addition to the above we were just started playing the bonus chapter then took a break for a bit and when we came back to play a message popped up saying our profile had been corrupted and we needed to start the game over! So not only did we pay $6.99 for a game advertised as being on sale for $2.99 a glitch shut us out of playing the bonus chapter, because no thank you we will not be playing the entire main game over so we can play the bonus chapter or maybe to have the same thing happen again. You arent giving us any new iOS games Big Fish, so can you please have the ones that are in the App Store work correctly and not overcharge customers for games posted as on sale, please!!!! For anyone interested in knowing we are using the smaller sized iPad Pro.

This app is unresponsive on our iPad Mini 4.

Maybe dont say its 2.99 when its actually 6.99.

Nothing more to say-Rehash game that is short & not that engrossing in play, even with little pumpkin boy.

That this would be more than just another rife on the same tired theme. But no. When the player reaches the climatic scene, it is just choosing sanctimonious drivel and then the game just ends! Dull, predictable, boring.

We like these games, but its way too difficult to attempt to grasp items without closing the app. Its too frustrating to get through with the current IPhones.

We bought but would not let us continue.
