Description

“[A] surprising iPhone and Apple Watch bestseller is pushing the boundaries of fiction” – boingboing.net
“This is the best game on the Apple Watch” – Time.com

Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together.

Acclaimed writer Dave Justus (Fables: The Wolf Among Us) weaves a gripping interactive story through the aftermath of a crash landing on an alien moon. Taylor is stranded, the rest of the crew are dead or missing, and Taylor’s communicator can only reach you.

Lifeline pioneered a new narrative experience enabled by modern devices. This story plays out in real time as Taylor works to stay alive, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Taylor directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app.

Or, dive in and jump back to earlier points in the story, and see what happens when you make a different choice. Simple actions can have a profound effect. Complete any single path to restart the story and unlock this mode.

Lifeline is a deep, immersive story of survival and perseverance, with many possible outcomes. Taylor is relying on YOU.

Lifeline… Reviews

Im so glad that it does not take us all the way back to the beginning like it did previously this was a great purchase.

We love this pocket choose your own adventure game. The story flows really well, the responses make sense, and the app itself has never had any problems. If you like Sci-Fi Choose Your Own Adventures than youll like this.

Loved playing this game! We felt like Taylor was our friend and we were totally invested in helping her get rescued.

Great story that keeps your head spinning!

O our gosh its amazing likeoh our. Wow Im honestly speechless if you buy this you have 100% not wasted money whenever we open our IPad and see the notifications it just makes our day its cool how when he/she sleeps or explores theres no messages its just an Amazing game we have been looking for a choice game LIKE THIS for almost 2 years and we can assure you that we WILL buy another of these once Im done its an amazing game made by an amazing group/person if you buy this we assure you that you have not wasted money (sorry for being so repetitive) we also love how realistic the message time and wordplay is! Thank you for making this amazing game which could change some peoples life!

Love the way this game makes you think about the impact of little decisions.

The lifeline series is our favorite series across the entire App Store. There is no better storyline that draws you in and makes you feel connected to a character any better than this series of games, with this game being the best one in our opinion. Im a few years out of high school now and we remember playing this game in junior high. Thought we would leave a review after remembering this game and just how much of a masterpiece it was. Glad to see theres plenty more added to the series while we’ve been gone ;)

We havent even been playing for 15 or 20 minutes and we can already tell we love this.

Downloaded for the first time in 2015, and its still holds up!

The storyline and the lore of this fantasy world is just amazing! You need to play this game. We love the feature where you can rewind and do the new parts of the story after you get to one ending! Seriously, great game!

It gives you a chance to get away from the game for a bit, and when you are playing it goes through real time, and paints a picture in your mind of the surroundings. Its fun and interactive.

We’ve always loved choose-the-story adventures. The character and personality of Taylor really shines, and the tension is deliciously palpable with the real-time game element. Plus, a little mystery never hurts ;) Love it :) (Im in the process of replaying the series, and looking forward to it )

Great CYOA and love that it works in real time. Already got the second one.

At first we thought this was going to be pointless and then when our mom decided to just click by it anyways we were a little bit upset that her money got wasted on something so pointless and then we actually played it and it was amazing our only request would be able to have an option of a mini gameOr maybe a button to click that so we can see what he sees at the very moment not anything that moves just may be a picture like if he was standing out of area and he was busy and if he was standing at the Varia we would just be able to see the Varia And that would be it no bugs or anything so far and we absolutely love this game and we are thinking about buying the second one how have we not heard about this before so worth three dollars.

So far been very fun interesting highly recommended.

We’ve gotten all the games/books really fun stories and adventures. Id recommend this to anyone who like chose your own adventure stories.

We have had this game for years. The story is incredibly well written in a not-in-your-face kind of way. The pacing is just right, with highs and lows to keep you on your toes. Sometimes it really does feel like you are having an interaction through a terminal. Very much recommended.

Lifeline has wonderful creativity in how the story goes, choices can puzzle your brain into making the right choice and helping Taylor survive! Also, using beliefs (aka, aliens who take over your body) on such a game, really stretches out the imagination of ones mind. As you follow Taylor on an epic adventure, you have fun all the way through!

We really got into the game and felt the concerns of Taylor, trying to assist in a series of decisions that felt as if they really had consequence and they do to the characters in the story. It’s multifaceted where decisions have outcome for the characters and encourages you to figure out what’s going on as much of the situation faced by Taylor remains shrouded, being revealed very slowly. The game has breaks where the character is resting, working, or walking across this desolate moon where the ship crashes. Well worth the time for this quality gameplay!

This isnt a game you sit down and play for longer than 5-10 minutes but its still really immersive and fun.

Sometimes they ask you if you to make decision a or b and then the character will dodge around the answer and just stick to a storyline that seems one dimensional. Hell say should we leave the room? And youll say yes get out! And hell just be like well Im already in here so we may as well stay And then like 10 minutes later hell be like oh shoot such and such is happening! And youll say leave the room now! And hell be like but we cant look away and will stay in the room. So anyways, yall get the point.. Thats obviously annoying.

The game is a lot of fun and a quick distraction but we have no idea why the developers chose to ding our watch and our phone 5 to 10 times for every sentence that Taylor types. Just one notification would be plenty. That is really annoying but everything else is great.

We’ve been trying to play this game for a week and every decision we make that we think is going to lead to something interesting happening, we wait a few hours in real time for Taylor to come back and say that she wants to turn around. If we make her persist, we want a few more real hours for her to come back and say she still wants to turn around. Nothing is happening, just walking and wanting to turn around. Theres no direction and no story it seems like, just like endlessly going in super boring annoying circles for no reason.

We read a review that this app is good for children 12+, but there are curse words and Im not sure if theres more to the app than just texting Taylor but maybe Im missing it.

Engaging, original, very personal.

This game, first off, is a masterpiece… We loved having to wait for Taylor, in real time; it was satisfying to play it over the course of a few days and then reach the end, rather then just playing for an hour, winning, and then having it be over… This game is genius, so well done. It focuses on the story and puts YOU in charge of making big decisions and paying the price for each decision you make; good or bad. If more games are ever made like this, we’re in!!

Re-downloaded Lifeline after remembering how our friends and we loved it in high school. It still holds up! Looking forward to the next installment of Taylors story :)

Its great & so real. 3rd time around on this game. Bravo.

We first downloaded Lifeline some five or six years ago. Every now and again we come back and redownload, especially when Im having a hard time. You feel connected to the characters. Taylor is like a friend to you. The stories are so great too. Thank you devs, 10/10 recommend.

When you are playing the game just tells you to come back later.

This game is amazing we’ve played it years ago Lifeline, Lifeline 2, and Lifeline Silent Night. All are great and would highly recommend to someone who is in need of adventure in there life. We just recently discovered there have been more games made we were unaware of. 4 of them! Which we purchased just a moment ago haha. Thank you 3 Minute Games for making something unique and enjoyable.

Lifeline is already an amazing game, and we’ve only been playing for 10 minutes!

A friend recommended the game, we bought it for a dollar being very optimistic. Wow, thoroughly impressed with the story, it’s not difficult to pretend you’re helping someone. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

We really enjoyed playing this. Its like reading a really intense novel but you get to determine the ending. We love interactive games. This one isnt necessarily exciting, but it was very entertaining!!

We got very invested in the fate of this poor dude. Near the end we couldnt put it down. Definitely pulls you in.

We found this game when it first came out back when we were in high school, it was the free game of the week in the App Store and within a few hours all of our friends were invested in the story as well. Now Im Back playing it again in preparation for the newest installment game coming out soon!! Taylor is amazingly written and the style of the game is so unique. The real-time not knowing if you made the right choice is captivating and just so so cool. 10/10 we would recommend this game and the sequels involving Taylors story.

Under helpful User (gratefulformusic & konyvka) had an experience very similar to ours. Its been a few years since we played. We started playing lifeline when It first came out and at that time we were going through a really hard time and very depressed and lonely. We remember some days the only thing that got us through the day was this game. Worrying about Taylor took our mind off what was eating us up. We were so lonely and depressed it felt good to know that someone needed us even if it was just a game. A fictional character that overcame many obstacles gave us strength to push through what we were going through. It gave us hope what seemed impossible was possible. And we looked forward to hearing from Taylor we didnt feel so alone anymore. Besides all that the plot was great the app is just great! Definitely recommend.

We remember being in middle school and playing this game. Now im in university and we feel so nostalgic for not only taylor, but the rest of the characters in this universe. Every now and then, ill replay one of the games and its always a new experience! Def one of our favorite games to play!

Love the idea of communication through notifications and simple responses.

Like many of the reviews, Im re-downloading this game for the third or fourth time, which not only makes it an excellent investment, but also speaks to how well its made and fun it is to play over and over. We’ve even bought all the other Lifeline games, which we will also replay after playing this one again (I like to go in order of game release because they get better and better). If youre new to this game, it wont disappoint and youll find yourself coming back to it time and again. We cant wait for new versions to come out. When might that be, developers??????

We really enjoyed playing through this the first time, but was really disappointed upon going back and trying to find alternate storylines, only to find that theres really only one story, hitch can only end in a couple of different ways. 99% of the choices you make in directing Taylor are totally inconsequential, and you are forced down the same pipeline of a story no matter what you choose. We guess we were expecting the options to lead to different events transpiring. But we still give four stars for a really fun initial play-through!

Excelent game but we would like to play in Brazilian-Portuguese.

Takes too long for anything to happen.

It became a money grabbing game instead of a good game like dungeon hunter 4, 4 was the peak best. Dungeon hunter 5 is the bottom of the list. Its apt to play, and you cant even play without buying energy.
