Long before Sudoku hit the scene there were Logic Grid Puzzles. Developed by Lewis Carroll (besides writing Alice In Wonderland, he was also a mathematician and logician), these logic puzzles rely on deducing a complex solution from only a few pieces of information! You’re probably thinking, "Whoa, that sounds really nerdy!" And you’re right. But it’s also really addicting. With only a few clues, you’ll be able to fill in the entire 6 grid puzzle after you put your brain to work.
Plus, these types of word problems and logic puzzles are showing up with increasing regularity on standardized academic tests like the SAT, LSAT, MCAT and GRE. So beyond just being a fun past time, they’re also a great way to prepare yourself for higher level learning.
The app is free, and includes a starter pack of puzzles so you can see if Logic Grid Puzzles are your kind of fun. We really love this app, but recently we bought a new iPad and wanted to continue using this app on it. Cant restore purchases. Luckily, we did not purchase many. If you like the app, you can get all sets for $1.99.
This is the best logic puzzle app we’ve found on our phone or online!
We will voice the same introduction that we rarely give reviews but we have to say how excellent these puzzles are and how enjoyable. Witty and well executed with no obscurity in the clues. We’ve tried other puzzles but none of them last long. This one is a true addiction for us and we hope the makers will continue to test our logic skills for a long time to come.
Such a wonderful game to enjoy some good old fashioned brain food. Enjoy!
This game is so interesting we usually become bored after a week of having a game but this game is different we never get bored and the puzzles are challenging but its not so hard that its not fun.
If you love solving logic puzzles then absolutely get this app! Best logic app ever! Very well laid out and most puzzles can be solved in 20 mins or less. Best feature lifetime updates. Well worth the money for all the packs and future packs.
We downloaded this app and many others as something to do while our husband drove us 14 hours to our vacation. This was by far our favorite. We couldn’t even finish all the puzzles during our drive down. We solved all the puzzles on our way back and then went back and started over. Highly recommend!
We love this app! It’s very simple and easy to use. The puzzles are challenging but well written. Our only recommendation would be a set of easy puzzles for beginners (like myself) to start with.
The column headers/names for the first grids to the left are no longer displaying since a recent IOS update. Are there plans to correct? Otherwise, we really enjoyed it while it was operational. Great replay potentialkeeps the mind exercised.

We enjoy this game and this one is easy to play on a tablet, but is still challenging.
Super fun! We love logic puzzles, and we like the occasional wry color commentary in the clues. We dont spend money on apps but am willing to for this. Our only asks would be to automatically X out col and row after a green and to provide a space for notes and hypothetical grids. (I use paper.) Keep it up!

So being a giant nerd, we love this app. It is by far our favorite of any of the logic puzzle/game apps. We took the LSAT years ago and fell in love with logic games so beyond cracking out old LSATs (which might be a little too nerd hardcore) the only real option are these types of logic puzzles. This one comes with some and then you can buy additional packs for $.99. Im one of those people who never pays for anything in games and we ended up buying all the packs. The only drawback is we finished them all too quickly and now Im on our last pack. A few typos here and there but really nothing negative to say other than that our brain needs even more! Loved it and found the interface much better than all the other logic puzzle apps. We guess now Ill have to move on to the next one.
We got this app because we heard it helps to train you to think quickly and logically–skills you’d need for an exam such as the LSAT. It is what you make it really and for us it hasn’t disappointed.

We cant say enough good things. The amount of thought, effort and detail put into each game is phenomenal. We feel like every game is a small TV episode and it makes finding out the information even more fun. Not to mention the slick minimalist aesthetic is very pleasing to the eye! We’ve bought two of the expansion packs, which were only 0.99 each! Its a great price for such a well made game. Also, not only do we use this app for fun, but it even helps us fall asleep!

We’ve loved solving logic puzzles ever since we prepped for the GRE exam – we’re not a master, or anything, but we like that they make our brain feel challenged. We are very much enjoying this app – and have paid for two puzzle packs, after completing most of the starters. We love that, in addition to crafting fun, well made puzzles, the author has a good sense of humor. We consistently giggle a few times while reading the clues. This is a new favorite app for us. Recommended.

We weirdly got hooked on these when studying for the LSAT. We turned our back on law school in the end but a decade later we still love the logic puzzles. This app has great options and they vary in difficulty. There are two we keep coming back to! But we love it because we can walk away and solve others then come back.

Logic puzzles are one of our favorite to play from the magazine era. The digital version does not disappoint.
Very similar to a previous reviewer, we never write reviews. But Logic Puzzles is the best thing we’ve purchased on App Store, and it was only $1.99!! There are tons and tons of puzzles for that price. These puzzles can be addicting, our husband can attest! But they are so fun, and its great to just do one or two while Im passing time. Before we would scroll and scroll through news only to feel dejected about current state of the world. Now we feel happy and sharp after we’ve done a puzzle or two. Best part is that when we finish all of the packs, we can just wipe them and start over! There is no way Ill remember all the solutions. Also, we have not confirmed this, but we think the creator might be from our city. Some of the clues seem totally unique to Minneapolis! Road names, State Fair reference… Very cool!!!
Its a great non stressful game for logical people that is good for waiting in line or just playing for an afternoon. However, if you love the game as much as we do, youll run out of puzzles quick. And we understand they make their money by you buying new packs, but be careful. It adds up. Each pack is 1$. But there are 8 packs so that adds up to 8$. Just a heads up.
We’ve been playing this app for a few years now and thought we should show some support to the creator. This app is clean and well written. The puzzle are funny and a good challenge. We use them many nights to wind down and get ready for bed. We know when we can no longer understand the clues that its time to go to sleep. As long as we’ve used it we havent found anything in it that could be improved upon except maybe a little corner grid where you could put the solutions. As in Colonel Ketchup, in the Apiary, with the Pinking Shears. All in all, we’ve had much enjoyment with this app and the $1.99 was well worth the price for all the packs.

We don’t write reviews often, but this app is so great we had to! The puzzles are challenging and engaging which we love! We struggle to find apps that entertain us and keep our brain engaged, and this one does not disappoint!! The clues are funny and we often show them to our husband who also thinks they are quite clever. We love the differing levels of difficulty and am so glad we bought all the puzzle packs available because we go through them rather quickly! We would definitely recommend this app to anyone who loves logic puzzles!!! **Small side note, other people have commented that autofilling the rows once an answer is true would be nice, but we prefer it without. It allows more room for error so we feel like we have to pay attention more. So maybe if it gets added someday it could be something in the settings you can turn on and off.
