A Glimpse into Lucy Dreaming Prequel

Take a brave step into the terrifying world of suburban, middle class Britain to help Lucy unearth the secrets of her disturbing dreams – but beware, her subconscious is a rabbit hole laced with intrigue, adventure and a cast of extraordinary creatures.

Lucy Dreaming is inspired and influenced by the classic 90s point & click adventure games, from its beautifully-realised pixel-art style to its irreverent, sarcastic humour. Delve into Lucy’s ever-expanding world as you explore a rich narrative, solve satisfying puzzles and discover hidden Easter eggs.

Do you have what it takes to communicate with Lucy’s dysfunctional family, untangle her repressed memories and bring an end to the nightmares once and for all? Just don’t forget your teddy bear.

Game Features:

  • Discover a wide variety of detailed dreams and real-world locations from a neon-lit comedy club with an unusual clientele to a post-apocalyptic boulangerie.
  • Encounter a cast of characters from Lucy’s maniacal brother to a giant duck with a bread problem.
  • Explore rich environments with an abundance of witty retorts to almost everything you can point your cursor at.
  • Subtitles in German, Spanish, Italian and Russian.
  • Reveal hidden Easter eggs and pop culture references.
  • Enjoy the distinctive and beautifully realised voice acting (English)
  • Travel instantly between scenes with a double-click.
  • Having trouble? Just hit the space bar to get a sneaky peek of each scene’s hotspots.

User Reviews on Lucy Dreaming Prequel

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Lucy Dreaming Prequel below:

Short version: Please take a moment to rate & review positively if you liked this or even if you just support the genre, bc it really matters to indie devs. Dont let the whiners & selfish chumps dictate the games average, and make it harder for point & click adventure games to be made. Full version: People give a low rating and flat out admit they didnt play it; stuck on a puzzle so it must be a glitch; omg our precious sensibilities were triggered by content in a game that says repeatedly up front its full of dark psychological humor, so low rating; and the eternal entitled classic- we loved it but then the greedy dev wanted to be compensated for their work, how dare they?! (from the same oafs who get addicted to increase-your-town/armys-number-in-endless-linear-progression business model games that are free, and end up getting suckered into pointless IAPs). And despite these petty, selfish people’s petty, selfish whining, the developer bends over backward to be incredibly nice to them. Do devs of your so-called free games with a million players ever write genuine responses to reviews? Has anybody from a company churning out the endless parade of clones ever offered to personally assist a completely unreasonable person with getting a refund?? Of course not; since they simply buy their ratings & reviews in bulk from one of the many websites providing that service. They dont care about legit grievances, much less the ridiculous ones; indeed, most dont even bother with a standard form reply. They release products that required only the bare minimum of creative or cognitive effort to make & even less than to play; mass production exploiting an unregulated market. They take no risk, design everything from proven profitable bases, and keep the servers running as long as the money flows. Compare that to this ONE person, doing all the work of creating an actual interactive story thats entirely original. No assured profits, just the opposite. Even a really good game in this genre can fail to recoup costs, let alone provide any income whatsoever to the developer. Indie devs take a huge risk out of real passion for the project. No bought ratings here. All that, and to show such concern for players even when theyre jerks remarkable. The worst part is that even after all the dev could possibly do for these horrible people, they havent updated their ratings. We guess that shouldnt be a surprise the entitled, 100% self-centered, thoughtless reviewers wont suddenly become decent people, most probably never even saw the devs efforts. So why the rant, if it doesnt matter? Because not everyone is a jerk, most of us are just lazy. What we ask of anyone who read this or skipped to the end is this: If you liked this very generous amount of free preview, or the full game which is now available, take a minute to write a real quick positive review. It doesnt have to be a novel like this one. Just a sentence to support the developer who put so much effort into keeping classic point and click adventures alive. Or at the very least, tap the 5* rating, no review required. And if you have some little grievance, dont give a lower rating until youve tried contacting the dev first. Reviews arent the place to seek tech support. This dev genuinely wants to help no matter how big a doofus you are. Let them try before taking a dump on the games reputation. Finally, if you think the full games cost is too high, please post a review directing us all to your equal or better game that you offer for less. No game? Thats ok, just tell us where you work, so we can all show up expecting the business’s product or service to be free.

This game was lovely and we really wish we could play further like we normally would when pleased with a demo. As an avid independent game development supporter we have never paid that much ($14.99) for an iPad game. We bet if you lowered your price by at least half your sales would go up. But thats just like our opinion man.

We saw this game talked about on Reddit & gave it a try. We enjoyed it, although we had to use YouTube for a hint or two, but overall its a great game. The graphics are cute, the dialog and voice acting are good, and it was fun and challenging. We will definitely be buying the full game when its ready, or donating to the kickstarter, we have to check and see where its at in the process. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Where is the full game as mentioned several times in this demo. We want it! Lol we will gladly pay for more of this.

Absolutely loved this demo. We are so incredibly excited for the game to come out. We will be waiting eagerly!!!! Phenomenal job!

We’ve played adventure games for 30 years, starting with LucasArts and Sierra games. This game really brought back old memories and was very enjoyable! We only hope you can release an iOS mobile version at the same time as the desktop version (or soon after). Its our form of unwinding in bed before sleeping, like curling up with a good book. The Easter egg hunt also reminds us of Ready Player One – very exciting! Hope to see a Sierra joke or two in the full version as well. The layout of the house/stairs reminded us of Maniac Mansion, but Im glad it wasnt as creepy, haha! Cant wait for the release of the full version! The only bug we found is we couldnt get the hotspots to appear all the time – long touch did not work consistently. Also, it might be easier to simply use asterisk symbols for hot spots since some of the items are so tiny, especially on mobile devices.

Have everything but the calm music. We captured the flu and went to the room where dad was to see if the fly would make him leave so we could get the tape. Now there is no door to the room, and no way to interact (that we can find) to enter the room. Im playing on a brand new iPad 12 Pro with a Tb of memory, so it shouldnt be that. If Im wrong, let us know and Ill change the rating. 2 stars because it was good cheeky fun up until then.

This demo doesnt really provide enough gaming material to even make a judgement. Except for the fact you have to save your own progress manually, which we didnt realize, so lost any small amount of progress we actually made. We couldnt advance anyway so we just deleted the game after that. By the way when is the finished game going to be done? Its been a while…

Game will not open despite several different "try this" tips. IPhone 11 Pro, current ios version 16.4.1. I’d love to try this!! ::((

Wildly Entertaining, perfectly pixelated, garnished with the right amount of challenge. Very Thimbleweed Park-esque Played on our iPad so controls were a breeze (but can see how they might get a tad tricky on smaller screens). Just opted in to your mailing list and added to our Steam wishlist. Cant wait to devour the full adventure!! P.S. You have a TON of potential to grow a massive, engaged email list. Holler if you ever need a solid digital marketer!

This game is funny and quirky. We just wish items in the rooms such as those on the bookshelf, were bigger and spread a part more. Everything feels so tiny. We cant tell you how hard it was to see and click on certain things. However, we are glad to see a funny point and click game. It has been a while since we’ve found one. :)
