Community Insight:

Found this app because one of our favorite vaporwave artists, Eyeliner made some jams for this game. The songs are amazing and the game is too.

Beautifully designed, super fun to play.

We absolutely love this game! The gameplay is simple but challenging, the best use of Vaporwave renders Ive ever seen, and Vaporwave is our favorite aesthetic, so there is nothing to complain about. Completely worth the price.

We love the vaporwave style of this game.

Challenging progression, nice graphics, retro-cool styling.

This is one of the rare games Ive played thats totally fun, even when you fail. It removes the layer of anxiety that most games have. The graphics, sounds, music and gameplay are just right.

It is really a nice to play when you are bored and waiting for somebody or something.

Recommended, never regret to download this.

This game is so annoying but the music, graphics, and sound effects are so good that we don't even care. We can't stop playing it. We even like the "FAIL BSOD" effect. It's even better when uh… Mentally stimulated.

We're had zero expectations before we started playing it. We just paused it so we could write this review and we gotta say…Bravo! It's very fun to play and we're going to assume the reviews here have touched on how solid the gameplay is. What we want to point out is how much this game oozes style! The vsporwave esthetic is fantastic and honestly we have not seen it done this well in any game we've ever played. We absolutely love the "hamburger!!" we're not going to keep pointing out stuff because we think it's more enjoyable if you experience it for yourself. Thanks to the devs for a great game that we were lucky enough to grab from an AppHookup post! You now have another fan of your work/studio! P.S. The opening credits are too notch as well! Keep up the great work! We're looking forward to what comes next.

We love to play this whenever we get bored or have free time! Its really challenging and the game scenery has great quality and nice little effects to it. To us, this game is really fun. :).

Awesome marble rolling experience.

First of all, Id like to say that this game is amazing. It has unique levels that give it its mark. There is something we feel we should change though. Its the worlds, we want there to be more worlds, not just 3 or 4. Thats the only criticism we have for this game as yall work hard to make this happen. Thank you so much.

But, we wish you could control speed by tilting the ipad forward amd back.

We finally beat this game after having it a long time and we still am in love with this game. For an iphone game it really immerses you in the worlds and the soundtrack is killer. We would love if they added more challenges as much as we love playing the goals were something to reach! Still gonna play tho haha.

Theres only been a handful of endless games we could really sink our teeth into- most iOS entries in the genre tend to have gimmicks that are uninteresting or a micro-transaction encouraging game loop. The simplicity of Marbloid is its greatest strength. Theres really not a ton going on here. As an almost entirely single player game, it takes a mission driven approach to progress. You roll a marble through increasingly more challenging areas and avoid falling off the edge, racking up points as you go. You cash in these points by pitting your ball in one of the whole markers whenever youve met one of your mission goals or when you begin to lose confidence. Once youve completed a set of mission goals, you typically get some kind of rewards and a new set of missions. This is what makes Marbloid such a perfect casual game. Theres really no fuss or worry about running out of some kind of resource or having to spend money to upgrade certain things. The physics are great, and the weird nostalgia themes make a great aesthetic. There are a handful of minor issues- there can be perspective problems with some of the portal placements. Its hard to tell whether or not youre supposed to jump to get in one or not, especially when youre traveling at abnormally fast speeds. Ive missed a few in what felt like unfair ways. The solution to this, in our opinion, would just be to make them slightly bigger. Additionally, speaking of going at speeds faster than usual, this can easily break the game. Ive played a lot of Marbloid, so Ive got the hang of the basic momentum physics and can build up an incredible amount of velocity. Unfortunately, you just will not make some jumps at these speeds, and if one of these jumps approaches your vision quickly theres no real way to slow down. Unfortunately Ive also had the achievement for purchasing the CEO ball fail to activate, which has sort of dissuaded us from attempting to get the last few achievements Im missing.

Great challenge design, it really ramps up the difficulty in an engaging way.

Just an incredibly fun little game with a sense of style and an easy-to-use system. Can easily play one-handed on the train.

This game is awesome !!!! No ads at all just hours of sweet courses and concentration based fun. Really Love the game and the beautiful graphics!!! Absolutely FANTASTIC job.

This game is just the absolute best dont know why theres not like millions of people playing but its amazing- best game, 10/10.

That is what this game reminded us off. Also can be played without internet.

Killer aesthetic and soundtrack. Absolute vaporwave gold in an addictive format. Those quick hits if that sweet sweet dopamine keep us coming back for more. Also appreciated the graphics settings to save battery.

What a beautiful game and amazing soundtrack! So much fun. Well done.

Its a fun game! Im guessing through the description, touch controls was just released not too long ago. We love the simplicity of the game and the soundtrack is pretty killer, our only gripe is the controls. It would be nice to add another touch control being edge to edge steering and middle being jump. Just a suggestion! Bottle left steering and right jumping seems uncomfortable and the jump button is a miss sometimes. Again great game though and hope you guys consider it through much updates.

We love how creative the game is and the other features. Its a different type of game and better style dont hesitate to buy it is worth it it is so fun. Us and our friends will play this for hours just getting to higher ranks we are a kid and we perfer Snapchat and tik tok but this game is great we had to write a review on this game.

Good job on the Miami vice 80s madness feel!! Killer fun.

We've loved vaporwave for a while and this game has it all it's also a good game and we like how it introduces new mechanics overall a good experience.

It definitely got harder. When we first played it everything was so easy and then it got harder way too fast. The prices in the shop was roof blasting. Please make the game easier so that we can actually roll into an exit.

The vaporwave art style is spot on. We're also okay with the game being difficult but we hate when it has those glitchy stuffs. For example, remove colliders from those portals or make it bigger. Assign a predefined paths for exit paths for portals. Sometimes ball is thrown to unexpected places. When you pause the game, go back to another app and come back, ball jumps and we can't continue the level on rails or narrow places.

At anytime we make progress while its an otherwise great app, it just froze up or crashes. Let us know if you need help with anything.

The problem with mobile games is that you get sick of em real quick. And even though this is an amazing game we got sick of it in a couple months. But if your ok with that, its an amazing game. Its simply and beautifully built. The controls are simple and efficient. Very nice game, premium app.

We love this game, the retro feel takes us back to games like Marble Madness the graphics and theme are vapor-fabulous! The levels and tasks are unique enough to keep the game fresh, but the controls will have you rage quitting in no time. You have the choices of the awkward and less precise tilt controls or on screen left, right, jump buttons. The on screen buttons allow for better control but the button areas are too small, so you find yourself missing the button area or looking down to realign you fingers and falling off the course. At the end of the day, this is still a game we pick up almost daily. Our thanks to the devs!!! Well done.

We Like the crazy art style and how engaged it can be. Not a fan of the motion controls. They work but we feel them inconsistent at a time, touch controls might be better but we havent tried them.

Graphics are gorgeous, soundtrack is great, but you cannot even make it past the starting holes in later levels. The awkward placements of some boost pads will launch you just short of a hole with no chance of evasive maneuvers. Same things with jumping across platforms with 90 degree turns.

We really like the game and the art style, but the controls are hold it back. We wish there was an option to hold down and swipe left or right from wherever we touched on the screen, like the virtual joystick method that many other games use. And then just jump whenever we let go or tap with a second finger.

We enjoy the game a lot but Im struggling on Rank 2 and the task that says Roll over 3 multiplier pads in total. We have no clue what those are and Ive been playing it non stop trying to figure it out.

The touch control buttons need to be changed. On an iPad it is impossible to hold the iPad and be able to get to the buttons. Maybe put the jump button in the middle and the others on their respective sides.

The words "today we have a bad day " are displayed frequently along the sides of some of the tracks. Why would we want to play a game that makes us feel worse about ourselves? No difficulty settings, so there's a large group of people who can't pay this. Having an option for constant rails/no gaps for the young, old, and disabled would be nice. Most of portals have a very narrow entrance, so unless they're easy to jump into they're very difficult to get into. The decorations often get in the way of game play. Much of the track is off screen, so there's no way to prepare for what's about to happen. There's no info on how to unlock certain marbles, like the Influencer (10,000 emojis) and Unicorn (100 successful exits), etc. You just have to stumble upon them. The final marble is unlocked after beating the final level. So it's not needed for anything… You start on a random track every time, so each level after about level 5 is just as potentially difficult or easy as any other level. Achievements aren't always acknowledged. For instance we maxed out all 3 boosters, but it says we're only 66% done. The boosters make it more difficult to time jumps because it's harder to see the edge of the marble. Some of the worlds are fun to explore, though.

You have to wait about 60 seconds for this game to load, then it shows a bunch of random things. How do you control the ball? We guess its artsy or something. Im glad it didnt cost any money. Ugh.

And we especially appreciate that you can actually finish it.

Glad to support developers of such high quality games, no gimmicks, no in app purchases … Please keep the updates coming.

And what an incredible game from such a simple concept. No micro transactions, just pure fun. Just beat it, and am incredibly satisfied.

Found this app because one of our favorite vaporwave artists, Eyeliner made some jams for this game. The songs are amazing and the game is too.

The vaperwave aesthetic you never knew you needed.

Outstanding developer response, option of touch controls after first 3 missions completed. Awesome, thanks for the response.

The look of the game is great. The controls are good, but portals and rails, combined with the fact that youre always moving forward (upward), are not forgiving about misalignment. The world randomizer will sometimes put two areas in a row such that the first all but sends you hurtling to your death in the second; there should be certain combinations that are not allowed, or only are allowed at a very high level. Side scrolling paths are frustrating because of the lack of visibility due to the shape of the iPhone display. Some of the paths are just about impossibly narrow. And there arent enough areas – there really should have been more designed, and they should scale in difficulty with your level, rather than depending solely on distance and tasks to make things more difficult. The weakest aspects of the game have to do with the power-ups. First and foremost, the extra life is semi-useless. When it activates, it puts you at the start of where you died. When you start to get good at the game, you tend to die in the same places, the places where your survival rate is very low. Oftentimes you just wind up dying again. Admittedly, one time it did help us complete a task, but as it is, you basically have to be an expert for the extra life to be consistently useful. The extra life should put you beyond where you die, especially considering how rare it is. It also should allow you to decide when to use it, rather than always being used the next time you die. Having power-up collection as a task is possibly the worst task, especially when it has to be done in one run, since they spawn randomly, and sometimes are in very difficult-to-reach places, such as side corners. There should be more power-ups, both in terms of variety and quantity (just a little bit). Despite all that, its a very fun, if frustrating, game, well worth its low price. EDIT: After 1 billion points, you sre automatically placed on the Boss Level. It consists of the most difficult challenges in the game – super narrow paths (sometimes winding and/or with jumps, including jumps that require lateral movement in the air), long distance jumps, etc., including a few Ive never seen before. There is no way to go back to the regular game and return at a later time – you must beat the Boss Level to continue. In other words, you cannot make any more progress collecting emojis or gaining more levels until you put in a ridiculous amount of time to beat the Boss Level (unless youre already that good, which we certainly am not). We have no desire for this or any game to become a job. As if the challenges themselves werent difficult enough, oftentimes you have a narrow path immediately following a jump that makes your marble roll toward the path very fast, making it impossible to orient the marble in time to even have a prayer of getting started. Please make the Boss Level selectable. Rating lowered one star. EDITED 6 Jun 2019: where is the option to change controls back to tilt if you tried the on-screen controls and dont like it.

Full of bugs, crashes constantly.

Time flies. We extremely addictive game.

We love marble or pinball games so we were happy to see something new on the App Store in this genre. Graphics and animations are really nice! Most of the time performance is good; rarely will we encounter some slow down. Controls are the toughest thing for us. When the ball rolls down a hill, it gets hard to control it and we usually end up falling off the edge quite frequently. Maybe new touch controls can be added or add more railings in the tougher areas (in the beginning). Overall great game.

The game doesnt make too much of itself, but its solidly designed, beautifully responsive, aesthetically pleasing, and one of the best mobile purchases Ive made to date. The tile sets are varied enough to keep each run interesting, and the difficulty curve is perfect. If youre looking for a coffee break game, this is one of the best Ive found.
