A refreshing game thats great to play at any moment. An excellent story too. The game offers a new take on old classics.

We have been wanting to try this game out for the longest time. Our reluctance was with ads for f2p and the initial purchase price for full content. You have listened to the masses and put a price that I… And most who love Tetris and battling games are more than willing to spend. We are enjoying the game as we thought we might. Our only gripe is the sensitivity of the controls. When we drag too lightly the block rotates when we never intended for it to. We have not switched the settings from swipe to tap yet so hopefully that resolves the issue. Other than that it is a great game.

Enjoying the game. How many weapons are there collect?

The game has a novel and refreshing concept for match 3. Any chance more levels will be added?

There are IAPs. Also, mandatory viewing of abundant ads required deleted due to lack of transparency by Developer and for too many ads.

Why – do iPad users not exist for you?

Such a fun game and well designed!

We love this game. We like block matching games and this game is top of the line.

We really like this game, we like the time trials and endless modes, Im very competitive!!!!! We wish we could play it online with our friends.

Let us start with compliments. This game has a great novel concept for a match battler. We also give it high marks for the story concept, artwork, and music. We understand ads are a part of this industry. But when presented with the sole option of viewing an ad to progress the game, a player should not hear thunk when you press the watch ad button signifying the game will not permit your choice of action. We are also concerned about our current-generation tablet running hot when playing this app. We keep our screen brightness to a minimum and no other apps were running in the background, so we know those are not the cause.

This is an amazing game. Whenever we have some time we open our phone and start playing this game. Our compliments to the Creator!

The controls make it unenjoyable. Maybe make a button at the bottom for placing blocks instead of swiping down. 50% of the time a down or side swipe rotates the block. Plus the four block scheme isnt fun, should be two block like Dr. Mario so combinations can be made more frequently. Just speed the game up on a timer to make it more difficult.

Ads start while still playing tutorial, controls are too sensitive.

We really do enjoy this game but we prefer to watch ads instead of purchasing it outright. However it feels like the button Watch Ad doesnt work most of the time requiring us to closing the app and restarting it to be able to progress. So annoying.

Match Mountain has a satisfying mechanic and level progression, pleasant music and aesthetic. But we find myself increasingly frustrated with the buggy block movement. Sometimes blocks skip a side in rotation; 3/5 times, hitting the next button rotates our block as it drops it, spoiling our plans. There is occasionally an issue with parts of blocks getting stuck. Also, maybe this is a planned mechanic, but when we match lightning tunes AND regular blocks in a drop, shouldnt we do both spell damage and regular damage?

Just as the description says, this game is a bit of each and the worst part? It isnt even the whole game. You beat lvs 1-4 or whatever and it tells you that you must pay to get more? Lol what a rip.

After the second stage the game crashes. Reinstalled and restarted a lot. Same result. We want to play this game more, but cant recommend if its broken. We checked the details and confirmed we have the latest iOS and this should work with us. We appreciate the developer reaching out to us. Im awaiting an update to try this game again.

Challenging progression using endless mode to gain exp. For the campaign. Keep wishing we had more block space. Definitely not Tetris. Endearing and original art work. Dont like that the top half of the screen is dead to touch. Also, we seem to have discovered a bug wherein some blocks will become unclearable regardless of match. Always at the bottom of a stack. Couldnt reliably replicate but have seen it a few times.

Odd controls: tap and drag should be separate inputs; found myself flipping pieces when we wanted to drag them and messing up our strategy. Board is too small: with a board this small, the auto dropping each second feels confining; either let the player have infinite time to place, or open the board if the auto drop stays.

Its got the potential to be a fun Tetris style game, but doesnt quite make it. Its way too much work to level up and the game will say you lost the level when there are tiles that shouldve disappeared. They really need to fix that.

The whole purpose of a free trial or a demo is to give players a taste of the game and the different features, while perhaps teasing future, full game features. This demo hardly does either of these things. It provides about 10 minutes worth of content in the form of 3 levels (which are advertised as 5 stages) and these levels are basically all the same and barely add anything new to the gameplay other than two new types of blocks to connect. There is a very simple weapon system that seems to be in the game, but the demo doesnt show this off at all. Unless youre lucky, you will likely have to play the third level multiple times over to unlock one new weapon which doesnt look much different from your starting weapon. The weapon gives only some stat buffs which you will quickly forget about unless you replay the demo levels, because the third level where you unlock the weapon is the last demo level. Its also worth noting that the gameplay is quite clunky for a few reasons. The blocks will be constantly falling at a rather quick rate, unless you tap repeatedly, in which case the blocks will rotate clockwise while remaining suspended. This alone isnt that big of a problem, as you can keep tapping while you decide where you want to put the block. However, a problem often occurs when you try to place the block and get in the correct rotation. Like we said previously, the blocks typically turn clockwise when you tap, however, its not at all uncommon for the block to just randomly reconfigure upon a tap instead of rotating clockwise, and this seems to be rather buggy and it throws off gameplay. For these reasons, we dont see myself spending 2.99 to upgrade to the full version. This amount just doesnt seem justified by the 10 minutes of simplistic, generic, and clunky gameplay.

We really like this game. So much so that we paid the $1.99 upgrade so that we could fully play it. However this game crashes like crazy and theres so many bugs. We cant even go on to the second chapter because every time we try to defeat the monster beneath the mountain it crashes before we can get through the dialogue. Its so frustrating because we really love the game!

Buggy game; blocks dont always clear when matched; small play area; wish there was more room; lightning match doesnt always clear the next match; level four is as good as it gets.

Fun game but crashes too much, we paid for the $3 upgrade and the game was good until we played endless, now it crashes after a few rounds. Also it crashes when we play the beneath the mountain thing. We enjoy it but it crashed too much for us to be even playable for more than a minute or two.

This was presented as a full game on the App Store home page, got 5 levels in and then the game finally says it was just a demo and now you must pay to continue playing. Do not download, do not support a game that will mis-represent itself..

Great game but it wont let us buy full version on iPhone 6s.

We really enjoy the core gameplay its sort of like Puyo Puyo (or Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine) meets match-3 games and would recommend downloading it to try it out if you like these kinds of games. We bought the full version which amounts to $2 and it was worth it for us just know the rest of the campaign is quite short but you also unlock endless mode. The developer is still updating with significant gameplay or quality of life improvements along with bug fixes so definitely support his hard work and at least check it out Sometimes pausing the game will get the game stuck in the pause menu but without the continue or quit buttons appearing so you have to close the app and restart it and you lose whatever progress in the game you were playing. There isnt a quick restart option in levels or endless mode which seems like a significant oversight. The level up display between monsters youve killed in endless mode is way too long and can even be so long our screen goes dark from not interacting with the screen. Sometimes a block will place before it appears if the blocks are stacked high so there isnt any delay or chance to move the block so we will occasionally get a game over that we had no control over. The controls are fine conceptually (tap to rotate and swipe from side to side to move the position, swipe down to quick drop) but the sensitivity of tapping to rotate is really high and there arent any options to change it so very very often Ill unintentionally rotate even though we just wanted to move it to the side or drop quickly and the rotations are super inconsistent, sometimes it rotates 90 like it is supposed to but other times it will rotate 180 or 270 when you only tapped once. It has a cool unique cartoony Norse art style although the main font used is Greco-Roman which is just a dumb nerdy nitpick we have, but we like the overall look. The rpg side advertised kind of hinders endless mode by partly dictating how far you get by how much damage you can deal based on your level but it adds a clever metagame in the story mode when certain levels allow you to collect a weapon that also upgrades damage and critical chance. The story mode is really short and the story doesnt really play a role in the gameplay and the monsters you slay seem arbitrarily chosen or reused for levels and it doesnt seem like you are traveling to new locations. So it isnt truly an rpg in any sense, even the weapons you collect dont have varying stats you just get a flat upgrade with no trade offs or management and a new weapon skin that you can swap with any of the others without affecting the gameplay in any way. But like we said we like the core gameplay and the metagame of getting a weapon or connecting the special tiles to get an attack in faster is quite fun and adds a bit of depth.

Love the game, feel like its a new combination of other games we love. Just disappointed after purchasing there arent many Acts. Defeated the mountain real quick. Endless mode is ok too, just wish there were more levels.

We give its current state a B+ as far as puzzle games go. Much like a mountain, it has a solid core experience but crumbles a bit when you reach the top. We enjoyed the cool take on the Tetris-style rotation matching mechanic, but the app has a few quirks that brought down the overall experience for us. Bought the game for $1.99 but we think if it was priced any higher we would have backed out. – Controls can be somewhat finicky; may need better visual indication (e.g. On the block) about the time left until the block drops again. – Needs improvement in edge case handling when the player is about to lose. Several times we were stacked high but below it had combinations connected and ready to disappear, but they fail to resolve and disappear by the time the next block arrives and it causes a loss. As a player it felt like we were cheated out of the opportunity to evade a close call in the same way you can in Tetris. – we were disappointed that the F-blocks were the only board-changer in the whole experience. Felt like lost potential. – Copy (text) regarding whether or not weapons change your players power felt inconsistent and therefore unclear. Some are just skins while some affect stats, and this is confusing. It would be acceptable genre-wise and less confusing to have two weapons with different skins but identical stats, instead of the skins versus real weapons differentiation. – FYI for the developer: Once we were able to slice a block in two by tap-swiping very quickly. It didnt feel like that was expected behavior. Campaign SPOILERS next: – End of the campaign was lackluster. A screen saying we won and a hard-to-notice costume change on the main character did not feel like a sufficient celebration. Was expecting a cutscene at least. – Final opponent ladys taking damage face clashes with the artistic theme. Comes across as goofy when all her other sprites are very stoic and commanding. – we were also sad that opponent lady didnt have more of a voice in the story, particularly in the third act. Why did she, in her words, turn away from the all-father? What does she think of the player avatar challenging her? We really hoped to get at least an ounce more of the narrative from playing the full campaign.

We actually love this game but we keep getting a fatal error even after the update. We would upload a picture but not sure how to send that in.

Reach character level 11 and the game breaks. When you finish a match and the exp is awarded, the game crashes.

This game is so fun and addictive. Cant stop playing.

… It would be match mountain. A wonderfully addicting and impressively crafted game.

Super fun game, got addicted and eventually beat it. Something super satisfying about getting a big combo.

Very fun game! Stimulating mechanics coupled with elegant visuals. Loving it <3.

Love the original art work and the great soundtrack, but its the gameplay that really makes this game! Cant wait to play some more.

Didnt know what to expect from this game but it ended up being very fun and addicting. Its now our go-to game on our daily train commute. If you enjoy visually stunning puzzles, add this to your favorites!

Such a good game! We defiantly recommend! Great job to the developer.

Beautiful game with beautiful graphics!! We truly enjoy playing this game. Very hard to put it down!!

We like the art we like the gameplay Its all wonderful and simple What annoys us is when we move a cube to the right and it rotates and then lands in the wrong rotation Suggested fixes A) have one half of the screen for movement and one half for rotation B) make the rotation take a second longer of holding down the screen and not allow a rotation and movement to occur at the same time. We suggest going with a since it would be easier to implement though b if successful would feel cooler. Thanks for the game.

Tiles drop too quickly. Also, the inability to save after every stage means you will replay the same level multiple times.

Its only free after the first level run. Its $1.99 to keep playing. Overall, its pretty fun.

Loving everything about the game except every time we complete act 1 stage 2 the game crashes.

We really liked the story, and the gameplay was OK. The controls were frustrating and made the game too complicated to play.

Free download is the first 2 levels, add free. $1.99 would unlock the whole game plus endless, but its just not worth it to see more. The simple art looks nice for the backgrounds, but the color scheme is bland and the character and monster art is generic at best. Music is just a looping guitar strum, but not distracting and sets a chill tone. These minor faults could be over looked and worth paying a few buck for the nice little Tetris style color block matching game. But the control scheme is so broken that its too frustrating to play. It breaks the game. The tap to turn swipe to move set up is your only option and its so sensitive that every attempted swipe first become a tap making it near impossible to place the blocks how you want them, particularly when the blocks speed up. And this on just the first two, easiest tutorial levels. May be worth checking back in on later after an update or two, but for right now its busted.
