What Makes Medieval Battle: Europe Stand Out
Fight various battles across Europe throughout the medieval ages. Each campaign is themed around battles between France and some of its various enemies in Flanders, Navarre and Aragon. Capitalise on strategic advantages to turn the tide of war in your favour; ride down your foes with heavily armoured knights, hold the line with bristling ranks of pikemen or strike from afar with crossbows and the famed English longbow. Will you emerge victorious or become another casualty of war?
Follow the treacherous scheming of Charles II of Navarre (known as Charles the Bad) as he attempts to gain more political power in France and for his Kingdom Navarre.
Flanders has a blood-soaked history with France, featuring many different wars, battle, revolts and rebellions. Join these two nations through the Franco-Flemish War (1297 to 1305).
Join the Crown of Aragon as they defend against the French through two different crusades before taking the fight to them during the conquest of France’s ally Navarre.

Community Insight:
Unfortunately, if you have been running the Hexwar series of games on older versions of iPads such an IOS 10, these updates are not compatible and will cause the update to crash. So, unless you have a recent IOS 11 iPad around to transfer these games, ignore all future updates unless they announce a fix to this problem.
Addicting once you get the hang of it.

If you've played Hannibal, Alexander and Romans this is another good hex battlefield game.
Nothing is worse than an extremely confusing game that is not user friendly. We're happy to say this is not one of them.

Needs two player options! That goes for all of the games! Better maps and a Crusades Game.
Nice to see it brought into the medieval period and it looks like there is room for expansion into other theatres.
Outstanding game! How about a War of the Roses version.
One of the things we love about the hex war games is their incredible attention to historical detail. In this case it was a period we knew little about but look forward to reading up on. If you are serious about military history, tactics, and strategy you will love these games.
We enjoy these hex war games and acquire them as soon as they come out. This game opens up an entirely new realm of scenarios, units and game play. Our favorite Hex War/hunted cow games are the 18th and 19th century ones (especially the napoleonic one and Civil War 64) and we look forward to a Thirty Years War game with all the variety that era encompassed. Nevertheless this is an engrossing and fast moving game. It is a bit pricey but we found it to be well worth the price. We have no problem if 9.99 is the cost of admission to keep these games rolling out on a fairly regular basis.
We have recently gotten into war gaming on the iPad and this game is just awesome….nice graphics, good control, heavy strategy. Highly recommend.
