The mission that day was to protect the Crown Price on a hunting expedition.
But what appeared on the hunting grounds was not a prey, but a killer
out for the Crown Prince’s life.

Claude repelled the killer and let the Crown Price escape, but he soon
realized the killer they found had just been a decoy.

He had saved the Crown Prince’s life by a hair’s breadth, but in the end
the Prince had been pierced by the killer’s poisoned sword.

To save the Crown Prince, Claude and his Silver Eagle Order headed
north to find the sole antidote, the flower of Erni.

Hear from the Players – Mercenaries Saga2 Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Mercenaries Saga2:

Im a huge fan of this series and we were skeptical about an IOS version. Theres a small learning curve (movement) but other than that, its a solid game. We hope they bring the rest of them to IOS so we can p,at on our IPad Pro. Love it, give us more. P.S. We NEVER write reviews, this one deserved it.

If they had all 3 on here. Who wants to only play part 2? Just go get the Switch bundle has all 3.

Im sure its possible to have fun in the game, but its just kinda boring to us. Theres a lot of fun tactical rpgs to play that feel better than this, so Id skip it imo. Also keep in mind that theres no autosave and dying reverts you to your previous save, not just to the beginning of the fight. Graphics are a 6/10 (being generous, really simple sprites), characters are mid, and it feels like a lot of tedious mechanics to make it more engaging but it just makes fights a chore. The level system works only through attacking from what we can tell, so support characters dont level up at all unless you make them attack directly, and theyre supports so it just ruins strategy. And just navigating the battlefield is such a headache.

It is great, but no controller support is a bit of a let down.

If you like final fantasy tactics then youll love this. Also check out their other title adventure bar story. Its great too!

Very enjoyable, we don’t play much gaming, but this one was worth it.

This game similar with FF Tactics, those who love FF Tactics will surely fall in love with this game, despise shorts playing hours, still this game worth every penny you’ve paid.

We used to love FFT and this is very similar. But it is different enough that it sets itself apart. The Good: It’s cheaper, there are multiple endings and synthesizing helps with strategizing not found in FFT. The Bad: It is just as grindy as FFT, has premium currency and there is too much focus on searching for rare items. We’re happy with our purchase. And we plan to buy the next game Rideon makes. Adventure Bar and this game are both in our top 10 list.

Great tactical turn based game. Cool character role progression system (which we like much more than the older fire emblem games). Only critique would be 1.) wish there was auto save between missions. Forgot to save once which lost us like an hour of progress when the next match went poorly…(since you can only reload from a manual save). 2.) some abilities are not super clear as to what they do or why its worth investing points into. The in-game guide does help but not for everything.

This game plays wonderfully just like FFT but isn’t as punishing and you can easily pick varying difficulties to grind. It won’t be as deep or have that incredible story but still does everything else right. You can play quick battles on the go that you can’t do in FFT. This is the best "FFT" clone on the app store. More please!

Very nice tbs. A simplified version of Final Fantasy Tactics. Great fit for mobile!

Good game. Wish there was some more rpg decision instead of just reading the story. Enough variety and classes to keep strategy up.

The game is great and would give you nostalgic feeling of Tactic Orge. Do not expect the game to be perfect. There are a few incomplete features and could be improved, but overall it is worth what you would pay for.

In the same vein as Tactics Ogre and FFT. Just bought this thing and it is fantastic. Fans of Tactics Ogre and FFT will feel right at home. The story is intriguing, the battles are well balanced with just enough difficulty and the touch controls are easy to manage. The price is a steal and worth the purchase! We seriously can’t put this thing down, we hope they continue their great work!

What a terrific title. It has everything that Final Fantasy Tactics as as far as strategy elements. You contend with a grid like map and factors like which way you’re facing and height matter. The real difference is that you have job trees instead of job classes. This means you’re Knight character can branch into other Knight and Warrior classes, but can’t be a Mage. Storyline is okay, nothing special. Controls are bit clunky and you can’t rotate the screen. There are treasure chests on the field as well as hidden treasures. This sounds great until you realize that you’ll be spending half the fight treasure hunting since the rewards are that good. Overall, it is a really fun game. For anyone who is a fan of strategy RPGs, you can’t miss this title.

We never played the 3ds version but as a huge fan of FFT, this is definitely reminiscent of that game. We like that we can play portrait mode with one hand and not in landscape. It’s definitely been far so far.
