Quite enjoyable, good overall. We would strongly suggest you have the game checked by an English language translator to correct the errors. Otherwise, this is the type of game we love to play on mobile, with Runestone Keeper gone and Dungelot not being supported any longer.
They need to create new levels! We already finished the game in a week.
We really like this game, but there are several areas for improvement. We enjoy the different styles that can be played Endless or Adventure. The adventure provides a map like area to explore that has minesweeper levels as well as stores, treasure chests, and caves to explore (like a sim game with action options to choose from). There is even a last boss level in the adventure, which we think has a lot of potential for variation. And Endless is just level after level. We also enjoy that us as the player can select different explorers who offer different skills and abilities. We dont mind the challenge of unlocking skill slots each time we start an Adventure, and the additional characters seems reasonable. The save and quit function is great, but Im not confident it always works. And then there are the improvement areas. While we think having some ?s in place of numbers is a decent and logical way to increase the difficulty, having too many makes the game impossible to play. In additions, the items available to assist the player can be moved away so the numbers can be seenexcept for the chests. When combined with questions marks, it really makes navigating the game as minesweeper impossible. Instead its become a different and more luck based game. And then finally, it would seem that the translation into English was a bit lacking. There are many typos and grammar issues, which can usually be understood anyway however, there are also some ambiguous descriptions of the skills that make it hard to understand how to use those skills properly. In particular, we believe that when it says the skill will be used in 2 rounds after use (or along these lines) we think it means for the next two turns (or attacks of our hero) the skill will be active (once activated). Overall we really like the game and enjoy playing, but the game play itself could certainly use some development. We have also experienced some crashes and moments when the ad bonuses simply arent available because the ad wont load at this time.
It is fun we guess? The game punishes you for being good at minesweeper, is chock full of poor translation, mechanics are explained poorly, and the whole game reeks of content farm. A Very Poor Use Of Your Time.
Turning minesweeper into a dungeon crawl is a fun new way to play. IAPs are available but noninvasive. This app is rather new and makes sense after a few levels. A few things to note: the drag tutorial section took us a while to do, we are not sure if the drag target is the same spot that is shown on screen. Once past that part, dragging works as intended. Maybe we were using too much of our thumb in the beginning. The boots that let you explore for free let you click anywhere on the map, as supposed to just the place next to open; not giving clicks that are free of time cost. The armor and atk boosts do not drag onto your character, the are automatically calculated and do not seem to carry over to the next level. This was not taught in the tutorial, but we wanted to make note somewhere that these are indeed having the intended effect as far as we can tell. For troubleshooting we are using an IPhone 6s with the latest iOS. Lastly, abandon is spelled abandon and not abadon. This is the only typo we saw and we beat adventure mode (standard character rank 7, level 11 when facing final boss dungeon). We recommend finding and unlocking the exit as top priority. This way if you are running low on time or health, you can leave immediately. As for the reaper, whirlwind and sleep are highly recommended for it it is asleep or hidden, it is not attacking you, allowing you to click around it even if you are out of time. Otherwise the clairvoyance route of spell picking served us well. Early on it is also recommended to save your gold for extra skill slots. Lastly look out for vampires. Early game they were interesting, late game they were terrifying. There are also some monsters that will follow you to the next dungeon of you do not defeat them. Great enemy design!
