Community Insight:

Its pretty fun, very simple but has a rewarding feel to it. The ads also are not bad as some others say.

Loved the game. We have been waiting for more levels for ages now.

With no way to purchase an ad-free version of this game, its basically pointless. Need to redo a level? Ad! Want to see what level youre on? Ad! We spent more time watching ads than playing the game! The physics of the game are very meh, but its still fun… Too bad the ads ruin the whole game! We deleted this one… Such a shame.

Great little puzzle game we couldn't stop playing until beating all the levels. On that note…add more levels.

Each Level you must Shoot Monkeys And Destroy The Buildings with the Limit Of Monkeys That Are Provided. Its Very easy to get Stuck on a Level (thats Why its So addicting) Wish There Were More Levels.

This is a fun little physics puzzler where you throw monkeys at buildings to destroy them, but if you get stuck on a level, there's no way to keep moving. Would benefit from the strategy a lot of games take where you have access to the next 3 levels beyond the ones you've completed. At least then if you get stuck on 1, you're not sunk until you uninstall it. Looks like there are a lot of levels too; too bad we'll never get to them.

Our original review was pretty critical of the developer. This game used to cost 0.99 for the complete game and didn't have any IAP to unlock additional content. A while back the developer made the game free for the first set of levels and charged 0.99 to unlock the rest of the game. This affected all the people that purchased the game in the past as their version now became a demo and they had to pay 0.99 again to unlock what they originally bought. So we left a pretty harsh review and emailed the developer. He tried to do what he could to give us the full version back, but to no avail. But in our correspondence, we realized that this is exactly the kind of developer we want to support. A guy that makes a quality fun game and it just kinda gets lost among all the other free to play junk that's flooded the AppStore. The way his decision to make the game free affected the previous paying customers was an honest mistake, we believe. Anyway, we're happy to pay the additional 0.99 to unlock the game we had originally bought, because it is just that good.

We love this one. Addictive. Not to hard or to easy. Great game to play waiting for the train.

Fun game for 3-65 years of age, tactical yet fun. Need more levels to play though. It's even fun playing the same levels because there are so many possible outcomes and ways to take the game on. The only drawback is there is one mode where it throws up a scoreboard in front of the screen when you meet the goal but if you work around it you can still use the rest of your turns to score even higher. It should wait to score you until all turns are used, or give a bonus for turns not taken.

Beyond level 28 it starts nagging for you to rate it 5 stars.

Lots of fun, challenging at times; had no problem paying $.99 for additional levels. We were surprised but glad we purchased it. One of our top five games.

The game is free but it only includes the first 28 levels for free. If you want to play the locked levels, you have to pay.

It's a blast to play it. Similar to Angry Birds in concept. Highly recommend it.

This is a lot of fun and gets ya thinking.

We beat this game sort of quickly after getting the hang of it but it's well worth $1. It's super addictive and satisfying. It's also really nice that this game makes zero effort to get more of your money.

We loved it! Finished all the levels in 3 days now we need more please! :).

we've had so much fun with Monkeyrama, we wrote these detailed impressions over on Touch Arcade Very Satisfying! If you are on the fence, grab a tree limb, a 6-pack of bananas and jump on over. This is not, we repeat THIS IS NOT just some slapped together Unity assets. Yes it is developed with Unity but this developer has put together many very well thought out levels, some fairly easy to get you into the groove, most are perfectly balanced, and some are fiendishly challenging, to where, if done just right, you might just skim by with the hair on your primate bottom barely intact. We're a physics guy. So far, this game has been rock-solid in that department. Everything has consistently been even. The structures, bricks and blocks act like they should from the first level to the 30th level(that's where we're at now). For us those are the "fun factor" of a game of this type. But wait there's more… There are also different monkey types with different attributes, and special blocks. These will be distributed throughout the course of the game and really add to the enjoyment/challenge overall. Apparently, there are special monkeys in limited supply (you start with three and if you use them they regenerate over time). These are for use when you might be really struggling with a particular level. We've not had to use one yet but it's nice to know they're there, just in case. Now on to the vital aspect of any touchscreen based game CONTROLS. They are implemented well here, for the most part. You simply swipe to move the camera perspective left or right, up or down; which rotates the game field in accordance. You tap the desired monkey on the bottom left to select the type you want for any given shot. Then you tap exactly where on screen you want the chosen money launched and KABOOM! Bricks and blocks start crumbling or exploding etc. There is no zoom in/out feature. This is actually not a negative feature, but we mention it because there have been two lonely times out of a couple hundred shots fired thus far in which for our exact shot perspective has not been able to be achieved because of lining it up just so, the monkey select icons on the bottom left have been in the way. We were able to improvise by panning the camera slightly up, but we still thought it worth mentioning. There are three episodes the first two containing 28 levels each and a third that is still locked until we've completed 10 levels from episode 2. Taking the game at its word of 84 total levels then there are 28 more in the third episode. There's no story here but there is plenty of character. The monkeys each have their own characteristics and the level environments have been carefully crafted with detail. Lush landscapes with trees, grass and insects fluttering around make the game a pleasure to look at: and fling monkeys from the apocalypse to destroy. For one dollar you really can't go wrong here. If you like the look of the game or the premise; buy it! No shenanigans, no in-apps, just a high-quality and fun game from a a single developer and his first game on the App Store. Very impressive.

This one is a true gem for the price a small fast food burger. We can't rave enough how satisfying Monkeyrama is and how the levels become slightly more challenging as you go on. Thanks for the new challenges and GC achievements.

Lots of fun. Not frustrating, but a nice challenge. Nice update with more levels as well.

No brainer purchase, so much fun and well done! Get it.

We guess this new dev was saving the best for last, because the latest new levels are just great & we're only 1/2way thru the new stuff. We love this game , it's 3D, it's totally well-made. Very cool stuff. We've already started going thru the levels again to improve our scores, for no other reason than it is a totally fun app & has great replay value. Congrats to the dev. Thanks for the new levels & we are hungry for more.

This game should easily become an Editor's Choice in the AppStore. Monkeyrama will not disappoint…get it now.

A very good implementation of a familiar type of game with some excellent level design. An improvement would be made by adding support for Game Center leaderboards. No ads or IAP here and quite a bargain for the low price. Edit: we finished all the levels and loved playing it all the way through. Monkeys plus explosions equals fun! The developer has posted on Touch Arcade that more levels as well as Game Center support is underway. Awesome.

This game is loads of fun. If you've ever played BoomBlox on the Wii, this game is similar in play to that. So much great gameplay. Look forward to more levels. Excellent job to the developers.
