Its been so long! Just how we remember it. We made so many mistakes last time we played now we can rule save the monster race!
If youre someone who downloaded this game when it first came out (like me) back around 2012 or a few years after, you can actually contact GameClub and you can download the game for free WITHOUT THE SUBSCRIPTION. THIS SAME PROCESS WORKS FOR LEGENDARY WARS. All we had to do was download the game here and send a picture to GameClub telling them that we had previously downloaded the game. BY THE WAY TO DO THIS GO INTO YOUR PREVIOUS PURCHASES IN THE APP STORE AND FIND YOUR PURCHASED GAMES AND YOU CAN FIND THE GAME THERE IF YOUVE DOWNLOADED IT AND TAKE A SCREENSHOT. A day later, after having made an account (I think), we were awarded access to ALL CONTENT and DID NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME AT ANY POINT whether it was in the campaign or other modes. DONT WORRY, MAKING AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM WILL NOT FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE ALL OF THEIR OTHER GAMES. Again if youre a person that downloaded the game earlier and want either this game or Legendary Wars back, follow these steps and as of 5/28/20 itll still work to this day. The only reason this game gets 4 stars and not 5 is the subscription service in order to play the game for those who did not previously download the game, and the exclusion of in-app purchases, (thats a first) mainly because they were SO CHEAP and you could easily progress if you were stuck after getting like 5000 gems for only 2 bucks. Anyways, if you are to the end of this review, we applaud you and please take advantage of this opportunity if you can, because as far as we can tell, there are not, and seemingly wont be any good tower defense games coming out in the near future.
Why do we have to pay in the 5 battle it keeps asking for us to pay money to play a free game subscribe to play. Your game is awesome but the fact that you dont let people play and ask them for money thats just very bad if you would allow people to play free they will subscribe them self please stop asking people to pay to play this game.
Ok this is a amazing throw back and game but there is one problem in both games. In the original you would have to pay soul stones or the blue gems for some characters but in this you don’t. Please fix.
As an individual who used to play this game and even completed it 3 times, we are disappointed that we can no longer play this wonderful game due to the subscription plan required to play the game. This game also required you to buy the game in order to continue and you cant choose the limited version which has ads. We hope the creators see this and understand. The game is awesome and there is nothing wrong with it. However, the game subscription plan ruined it.
You need to pay $4.99 now for a game that use to be free to play past level 5.
Its a very fun game- but very frustrated. Theres no way to contact you guysI spent over an hour doing the lich bonus mode and got 4000+ killswas still aliveand then our game crashed. We do not wish to spend another hour in that chaos, and we did not receive our rewards- which would have been multiple soulstones and a load of gems. Verrrrry frustrating is an understatement. Please fix.
Ok, we used to play this game when we were a kid. Today we were looking in the App Store and we found this we were super pumped up to play it. It was just like we remember then we get to the 5th level. We HAVE TO PAY??? This is not EA play, we are super bummed. We know you can e mail proof but that old phone is broken. We remember all of the monsters too. We dont remember their names but we do remember them. Our favorite was the tarantula and the vampire. If we could save enough we would get a dragon. They were our favorite. We are super bummed and if you guys can e mail us that would be very helpful.
We thought that if we didnt get the subscription Id have to watch ads during the game which is tolerable, but it doesnt let you past level 5 unless you subscribe, which is bogus. We should be able to just buy one game for 6$ instead of paying 5$ every month to have access to a hundred games of which we only play one. GameClub is just trying to squeeze money out of people who forget to unsubscribe. Getting incorporated into GameClub ruined Monster Wars, as well as its counterpart Legendary Wars.
We had this game on our iPad when we were little but sadly broke it downloaded it again on our android 3 years ago or two now we downloaded it again but now we have to pay for it sadly we remember almost beating the game near the heaven stage where u have to kill the cyclops we think anyway Im not paying 5 dollars a month for this game It still had a spot in our heart cause it was really enjoyable but now we have to pay for it so no thanks.
We have the subscription Im being charged and it works on legendary wars but not monster wars Im in 4-3 on legendary we just want to finish our game.
We had monster wars and legendary wars when we were younger, and wanted to re-download them only to find out you needed to subscribe to the app developers scam. We sent an email to them saying we have previously played in order to get our account back, but they didnt bother to answer. Very disappointed.
We love this game. No doubt in our mind its one of our favorites. When we were younger, we bought this and the hero version and loved them both. This game is iconic to many childhoods and Im so glad we decided to look for it. But can we appreciate how fast the developers respond to restoration applications. It was mere minutes. We were going to email them and give thanks but then we remembered we could just review it.
When we were little, we played this game but then suddenly it disappeared. We accidentally bought the 1 month subscription but good thing its free for the first month. We played this game for a long time (when we were younger) and was close to beating the game. We contacted support to restore our account with a new email (because we forgot our old email) but hopefully they will let us play with the new email. We really loved and miss this game because of the cool fantasy and animation. Hopefully we can play this game just as we bought it before. So far, so good and very fun :)
We use to play this game as a kid all the time. Us and our brother use to play this together and compete to see who could finish certain levels first. This game is extremely addictive! 10/10 would recommend playing this game!
Loved this game as a kid and over the last few months theyve done a good job to remove all the little bugs. Anyone who owned this game when it was free just needs to email proof and they will unlock the game for you so you can enjoy the game again for free. Seeing so many reviews going off about how its not free again and not even bothering to read the reply specifically stating how to unlock it for free is just preventing other players from enjoying this game.
Wow that was quick we just made a review on the dissatisfaction of the service then immediately they fix our issues and now Im able to play the games without the subscription so yeah thanks we might actually might get the subscription mainly for good service so again thanks.
Wow you really have to pay to play this free game we remembered when this game was free and you can play all the maps now you have to pay 5$ per month if not you cant even play after 1-4 this is so dumb this was the best game ever now is the worst!! Good luck on making money on this game you just lost everyone who played this games before.
We played this game when we were super young and we were very amazed when we saw that it came back. We do not have any complaints about the system, graphics and sounds of the game itself since it is just amazing. However, the fact that it has been turned into a subscription game is really breaking our heart. If the full game can be played after a one-time purchase, we are very willing to do so. But, the subscription is taking money every month, and this has pushed us to the situation where we have to delete it though it is in fact a very good game.

So happy this is back! It was our favorite game growing up, and the new graphics are awesome!
The game is a classic and we played it before the developers stopped updating it and was really excited to play this new updated version. However, when we go to the armory and try to upgrade one of the units, the screen that displays all of the traits is half out of our screen and we can only see and access the bottom two traits. This really bums us out because we cant play the game due to this glitch. FYI, we use the IPhone SE so this may only be an issue for our type/size of phone.
We are disappointed to see a game we played in our childhood be stolen and made into a subscription service. We wish we could play the game that we loved as a child without paying 5 dollars a month. The game only cost 2 bucks for the whole set. We are saddened that this great gem of a mobile game with no in app purchases has been turned into a subscription service. We wish people werent so greedy for money.
As we’ve seen in the reviews already we all used to play this game as a child and now its turned into a subscription service and makes you literally pay to play a game that used to be free and by developers that just enjoyed making a fun game. It hurts to see a game we used to play for hours while we were in the backseat of our car be debased so harshly. We are very disappointed.
