For many years, peace has reigned in the Kingdom of the Gilded Sun. That all changes when the wicked Monster Army suddenly attacks. With the main forces fighting battles far away, it falls to you, the son of the High General of the Gilded Sun Army, to bring together a fighting force and repel the invaders. We and our little brother use to compete to see who got better on this game and it is fun and addicting to player even if we beaten all the modes to the mini games but after expecting the alien vs robot game to come out legendary war and monster war was gone. We are sad to see we have to pay on this even though it was free back then and personally the mini games were good, but we were kinda hoping for a new update to the story of both games. Ill contact for that game we luv on customer service, but please fix these bugs ty. Still adding on this is the new starting point we are glad we are able to play the games we love and with our very brief (2 page) explaining the game of what we experienced and play and pointing out some bugs that they unlocked the game for us. We sincerely thank them and in the near future when our schedule open up we will see their game catalogue and if we do find games we wanna play subscribe then.

Awsome game but one thing its good.
We still love the game even after the subscription as we beat it before running out of time. Although is anyone sure how to beat the evilest crate level whenever we get to fighting it we cant find it. If anyone knows how to do this let us know.
This game is the best game that was made in the early 2010s by livid games. A few years ago we tried to find the game for old times sake and was disappointed to see that it was not in the App Store. Jump to current day and we just happen to be thinking about the game and look it up and we are surprised that its in the App Store. We download it only to find that we must now pay a subscription to play it when we have bought it previously along with the other game such as monster wars and stellar wars. We have reached out to the developers for the game and will update the review when we hear back.
This game, monster wars, and stellar wars are by far our favorite mobile games of all time and we loved playing them when we were younger and still do. That being said getting access to these games is so difficult. We got access to legendary wars a few years ago but after getting a new phone we have so far been unable to get access to legendary wars and have never been able to get access to monster wars. We love these games but Id honestly rather them just make them cost money so we can pay them off instantly rather than paying for the membership every month or contacting the devs and getting access which has been very fluky. Love the games just really want a simple way of getting them permanently.
We had the game when it first came out beat it five times got our family into the game as well. They all loved the game as well since the story, art, and, music all came together. Now to find that we need a subscription just to play it paying 5$ a month just for one game. Even the other games that where in the subscription were not as good compared with legendary wars or monster wars.
This used to be one of our favorite games ever! Nice storyline, fun characters, and overall was super addicting. We were so happy to see it being free and after a few persistent pushes to subscribe to their company, we couldn’t advance to the 5th stage. We were so devastated. We were ready to play this game and complete the whole storyline again and seeing that you need to pay $5 a month blows. There is a way to get our old account but the issue is that the device is broken and has been for almost 5 years. Cmon $5 a month to play a game what a scam…
We’ve enjoyed playing legendary and monster wars since it was released around 2012. We had the same account to this day where we completed all difficulties and we wanted to continue our top record waves completed for the mini games, but customer service keeps saying they will help us restore our account back, but never did and never responded, even to this day. We wouldnt be surprised if people didnt get compensated for game currencies if a game crashed after a map has been completed.
We recently found this game again after years and was super excited to play, but now you have to pay to play it. Even for monster wars which is weird since we played both games but now its behind a paywall. Is there a way to get both without paying because this is very greedy.
This game was great back in the day. We remember playing it as a kid. But now that we try to play, we have to pay for it to play the whole story. Back in the day, you only payed for extra gems. The controls also arent as good as they used to be and its stupid you need a game pass to play any of their games. We give it 2stars for old times sake, but Im not impressed with how its handled now.

Its not right to force people to subscribe to play this game. You already interrupt the game so much with ads for the first few levels we DO get to play for free. This is just predatory.
The game is good but game club ruined it, you can only play three levels before it makes you buy a subscription and if you dont you cant play the game.
This was one of our favorite games of all time back in 2010. We used to play this game none stop on our iPod 4 and was so excited once we found it again after all these years. Now they wont even let you pay past level 5 without paying 5 dollars a month for a stupid subscription. And we’ve seen how they respond to these complaints saying if you previously had this game you dont have to subscribe and how exactly is that fair to the rest of us? So people who didnt play your game in 2011 now have to pay a 5 dollar subscription? Thats absolutely absurd and such an obvious cash grab. We are so disappointed by what this game turned into and will be deleting it immediately. Do not download this game unless you want to waste 15 minutes playing through a tutorial only to be blocked from playing the rest of the game unless you pay 2 dollars short of a Disney plus subscription. We are going to be spreading the word to everyone we know to not download this game and if they have the game on an older phone to delete it.
Ok so we bought this game like eight years ago and now its telling us we need to pay five dollars a month to play the game we’ve owned all this time? Completely ridiculous considering we payed a dollar to own it forever and now they want 5x that per month. Yall are some disgusting subhumans.
Whats the point in letting us play the first few levels and then forcing us to pay to play. It wasnt like this when we used to play on our iPod. Dont be greedy and let ur fans actually enjoy the game.
Loved this game years back. What Gameclub has done to the game has ruined the nostalgic experience for us. Very disappointed some greedy company corrupted this game and what it meant to us growing up.
Really wish we were able to buy more soulstones/moonstones back then we wasn’t able to when we first got legendary and monster wars as we were just a kid. But now that we do have cash to spend we can’t since in app purchases to get gems and stones are not in the games and we are stuck on both games as the difficulty is just too hard and we cannot get more stones, gems ain’t a problem as we can replay levels for them but pls put in app purchases in the game again so we can buy stones to upgrade the units to new tiers.
We played this game when we were younger and enjoyed it, so we were pretty excited to install it again and play it. We thank you for going through and verifying requests for restoring a purchase. We took the time to write this review because of how happy we are to play this game again.

We used to play this game all the time years ago and thought Id redownload it. The subscription was a little annoying but Im using our free month. We miss this game but we know its a grind and wanna get super OP super quick, are in-app purchases still a thing? You used to be able to purchase moonstones and gems, was this feature taken out in recent versions?
Even if you wont see this we would like to thank you so much for finally updating the game to be played in the newer versions of iOS. We remember playing this game, the monster one and the one with the robots every second we could back in the days. We will be playing this nonstop. Also will you guys be looking to port the other games like monster wars as well?
We ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME!! We played this game when we had a iPod 3 this a classic with a banging campaign and characters and all the customization is amazing.
When we were little, our brother and we always played this game for fun, this was one of our favorite games. Our brother liked monster wars and we liked legendary wars. We thought im if we could play this again, it tried to find the games but couldnt find it after a while and then we finally found it. We were so excited to see the menu where you upgrade your troops and the miner during a battle. It all felt so great but then it costed $5 pet month to play. We remember when this game was fun now it is just a game forcing us to give money to play a game that we have been playing since our childhood. Im sorry but this game has changed.
Really? One of the best games and you have to make it pay to play? You didnt originally own this so we dont want you saying anything about our subscription this could make even more money if you made it free because there would be those who pay and win and those who play to win. But you people have no lives and want money money money.
We had this game since its opening and loved every second of the game. We had this game downloaded on an older IOS device and after completing the final stage on the volcano map there was nothing else to do, so we deleted it to clear up some space (again this was on the old device). Years later we remembered the game and went to see if it was available on the App Store but to our disappointment it wasnt. Now up to the present, we decided to look again for old times sake and surprisingly saw the apps iconic logo and immediately we downloaded the game. Going through the first 5 stages and hearing the music was great nostalgia to us, but upon receiving the message of a subscription to further progress in the game left us disappointed. We guess our only regret is deleting the game on the old device :/. Update: we contacted the support them and they were more than kind of letting us have our old account back. Theyre very understanding.
Used to play this game when we were younger on our iPad but it broke now Im on phone and we just saw this game again we had already completed it got our knight to heavenly armor was always happy with the story we always liked medieval games and we saw it again today on App Store but we see greed has taken over a once fun free game now you have to pay five dollars but with a supscription wish we couldve kept playing but this game is now just to expensive Wish they kept it the same.
This used to be one of our favorite games of all time. Go back to 2011 and we played this game for a very very long time. It is so much fun, and we combined 3 of our favorite elements in games: the gameplay of rpg and tower defense and in the setting of fantasy. It was truly a joy and a wonder that we wish everyone could experience. Now, the disappointment. We havent played in several years and we for whatever reason was singing its theme song and we wanted to find out what it was, and we found this game again. We thought to myself AWESOME! Im re-downloading this right now, and we will play the heck out of it. We downloaded it and it was fun… GameClub is persistent in offering their subscription… Very persistent. So much so that they make anything past the third level(the archer only level) impossible to play without the subscription. Im not a penny pincher, but personally Id rather pay $5 for this game outright than $5 a month and have access to all their games as free. Its very disappointing to see the greed of what mobile gaming has become infect one of our favorite games ever, period. We had no interest in any other game than this, and it is disappointing that you do not have an option for a second payment like no subscription, but an outright purchase. It wont happen, but those are our thoughts. Im still just very upset to see this. Have a nice day everyone.
We got this game when we were 7 and it was the first game we ever fell in love with and we played it for years and then we had to delete it when we got a new device and forgot about we come back 5 years later to relive the nostalgia and re downloaded it and played a couple levels and you know what we got a pay if you want to play thing and so we found out the best mobile game sold and now we cant even finish the 5 level.
We love this game to death and Im not that mad about the 5$ subscription since you get access to a lot of games anyways we know your guys whole thing is about getting rid of in app purchases but we seem to want it back its totally fine and cool if you guys dont want to add them back since it would seem hypocritical but When we were young we always bought the monnstones and thought we were the coolest for having all the characters upgraded but we completely understand not being purchases back thanks for restoring the game and letting us play it though thanks.
To be honest u guys should take the gameclub account out because no ones gonna buy it except a few people, people would love the game more if u didn’t have it u guys would get more money by downloads and not gameclub memberships.
We remember playing this game for free, but we dont mind paying a subscription for it. The problem we have is that it tends to crash quite frequently. Is it possible to fix this?
If youre someone who downloaded this game when it first came out (like me) back around 2012 or a few years after, you can actually contact GameClub and you can download the game for free WITHOUT THE SUBSCRIPTION. THIS SAME PROCESS WORKS FOR MONSTER WARS. All we had to do was download the game here and send a picture to GameClub telling them that we had previously downloaded the game. BY THE WAY TO DO THIS GO INTO YOUR PREVIOUS PURCHASES IN THE APP STORE AND FIND YOUR PURCHASED GAMES AND YOU CAN FIND THE GAME THERE IF YOUVE DOWNLOADED IT AND TAKE A SCREENSHOT. A day later, after having made an account (I think), we were awarded access to ALL CONTENT and DID NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME AT ANY POINT whether it was in the campaign or other modes. DONT WORRY, MAKING AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM WILL NOT FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE ALL OF THEIR OTHER GAMES. Again if youre a person that downloaded the game earlier and want either this game or Monster Wars back, follow these steps and as of 5/28/20 itll still work to this day. The only reason this game gets 4 stars and not 5 is the subscription service in order to play the game for those who did not previously download the game, and the exclusion of in-app purchases, (thats a first) mainly because they were SO CHEAP and you could easily progress if you were stuck after getting like 5000 gems for only 2 bucks. Anyways, if you are to the end of this review, we applaud you and please take advantage of this opportunity if you can, because as far as we can tell, there are not, and seemingly wont be any good tower defense games coming out in the near future.
We used to play this game all the time and we almost beat it a couple times. Now we tried playing it again after redownloading it on our new phone and we got through the first 4 levels before it said we cant play anymore. This game is 5 stars but now it shouldnt even be one because of the dumb people who bought the game and who overcharge for stupid games no ones going to play. Im not going to get the subscription because first we dont care about any of the other games we just care about this one and Id gladly buy this if it was just a couple dollars but a subscription to a service with stupid games is a rip off. Change the price and make it so we dont have to buy the subscription and Id gladly buy the game again to play it because this has been one of our favorite iPhone games for a long time.
The tier 4 Phoenix has a huge grey block around it. This blocks out your vision and it just looks bad. But the rest is good.

So this game and monster wars is amazing and we love it! But you got one thing off which is sometimes when you get a new character like Eve for example you should have to pay one blue gem for her and maybe even spike but you don’t. We don’t know if there is similar issue with Monster wars because we haven’t gotten that far yet but please fix.
So this game is a childhood favorite, we owned it perviously and so we got the full game back without the monthly subscription, however as we started playing we realized the arrow on the left hand side that u use to control with lane ur troops would spawn gets stuck A LOT.
We absolutely loved this game way back. The fact that you require a subscription to play the full game is out right annoying and it seems like Im not the only one who thinks this. We could care less about the other games so why not let people buy the game up front, Im sure everyone would much rather do that than pay a subscription worth way more than the games original price. Add ads and in app purchases anything you want just please make the game fully purchasable, it would make everyone so much happier.
This game used to be free with just in app purchases and now theres still ads but you have to subscribe for 5$ a month to play more than 4 levels which we think is pretty stupid. Maybe restrict some of the other premium features to the subscription but the levels should be free to play. Edit: Im on the one month free trial and we’ve beaten the whole campaign twice so im on Legendary difficulty and our phone keeps crashing on the Netherworld levels. Our phone is old so it may be that but we were wondering if it could be the game.
We loved this game but a cant play the 5 level with out subscribing why wont you let us play the damm game its so simple besides we would never subscribe to a membership if we cant play the game without subscribing then we wont play the game.

This was one of the first iOS games we played as a kid looking forward to playing again only played the hero and monster side never the space one dead night forever our guy.
We played this game for countless hours as a kid and to find out they brought it back made us incredibly happy, but now you have to pay just to get by level 4 which we think is kinda rigged because its not a one time purchase but it instead has you pay $5.00 a month and that isnt appealing to us at all.
This game is ruined we miss og it did not cost money for them and they were dope we hate it now.
