We played with 8 family members and had a fun time. The game worked great and didnt have any glitches as others said they had. Only had one repeat on the our Play selection so that wasnt too bad. Would definitely recommend for a fun and interactive family game.
Its a little buggy and wish we had an app on our tv instead of screen mirroring it BUT we love scene it games and we wish they would make more please make a horror movie scene it.
Ive been collecting the sentence for a while and we are very happy they made a new one and we hope they make more. We would love to see a New Disney SceneIt. It was super easy to share our screen to the TV. We saw a multiple negative reviews for that. If you know how to use your phone its no problem.
We would love to see game packs available. Back in the day there were different scene it games like Disney scene it, ESPN scene it, Friends Scene it, etc we would love to see and even pay for different category packs for this game. Like Holiday movie edition? Yes please! Kids scene it? Ill take that too.
The app works fine for us, no problems at all. Its a big oversight that the devs didnt add the option to Airplay it to smart tvs, but Im comfortable playing it on a phone, tablet, or laptop. Heck, Ive played plenty of games like Jackbox by hooking a laptop up to a tv anyway, so its not a dealbreaker.
We always loved playing this game growing up. We wish the game was available on smart TVs and not just phone and tablets, but we screen mirrored to our TV while playing and really enjoyed it! We hope since it is streaming that they make updates to the game and add more questions of types of questions to MyPlay or AllPlay as time goes on. We do not like how brief the MyPlay clips are and how the questions have almost nothing to do with the clip, but this was the first launch at bringing the game back. We look forward to what they do with the game in the future.
This app is good for playing movie scene it, however we wish the game had more movie clips and questions that randomized. After playing a few times our friends we and memorized which clips went with each movie so over time it became really easy to guess correctly. Overall is good, and would recommend using on an ipad so you have a larger screen to watch.
Often get the same clips and questions. Needs some work making sure theres a variety in the shuffle.
Movie Scene It! Is our favorite board game. We own all of the general movie DVD editions and many more (80s, TV, Jr., etc). This edition was a happy surprise find for us at Target. We came home and played it right away and were at first bummed it was app based and you have to cast it to your tv. Id much prefer a DVD. We guess people dont have dvd players anymore? Anywho, then we read all of the bad reviews for this app. That scared us. But it wasnt bad! It did crash once when we first started but after it closed and was opened again it worked great. We fear with an app this company could abandon any updates needed and make it obsolete quickly but we have older dvds from the other editions so new cards are a plus.
Weve been playing scene it for many years now. We own multiple versions of the board game and the Xbox 360 versions. This COULD be a great version of the game with a couple changes/add ons. 1) Add party play. We love to play the game but sometimes when the family is getting ready to eat at a party its fun to just put it on party play and let everyone guess while they get their food. 2) Since its an app and not a pre-recorded DVD, add player levels. If you have a movie nerd playing against casual viewers it can take some of the fun out it. Add player levels so player 1 (or which ever level that player chooses) gets level 3 difficulty questions, and so on. Give more of an incentive for the casual viewers to want to play against the movie buffs. Just make sure it supports up to 6 or maybe 8 (or more) players. 3) Add different versions to the app and let people play with the same board. In the home page you get to choose which version you want to launch. Normal version, 80s, classic, horror, ect. Would be fun at Halloween or Christmas parties to play those themed versions!! Many would happily pay for addons if they can play using one app and one board.
Love the game and heard there was an app but when we tried it the domain wasnt working.
This game would be more entertaining if we were alive when these movies came out! Wish they updated these clips & questions.
Not enough questions for Final Cut, went through only TWICE and got repeat questions. Also, expected more recent and current movies since this is the 2022 version. Disappointed.
The app itself is dated on function, only way to play on the tv is if you screen mirror. Dont want all our notifications up while playing! This app needs airplay, while turning this device into a remote for the tv screen. Should have been the first feature created within this app.
This game would be a lot better if you had an AppleTV app or you could Airplay from your phone. Update the app for more stars.
We were very excited to see this game sitting on the shelf. First time playing it and unless you know a lot about The Godfather, Saving Private Ryan, or Ghost, All Play is difficult. The questions repeated a bit; we had the same question twice in our Final Cut round. The game was super glitchy and our sound clip question wasnt even an option to listen to. The Scene It image snapshots were too dark and fuzzy to even see, let alone figure out what movie theyre from. We gave this two stars because despite the app issues, the board game and card questions are still fun and diverse. We would play again without the clips and pictures but thats half the fun. Overall, until they update the app portion of the game, we would not recommend.
We were so excited to see Scene It back on the shelves but maybe they should have just kept it as a DVD. The app is so buggy and you can only screen mirror to a smart TV. Please allow for casting/airplay and we think it would work better! Buggy and crashes a ton. Also needs some more clips, we havent played it that much and feel like we see a lot of the same movies.
Big fan of the old board game, but we wish this app would allow us to use our scene it? Game board that we already have instead of having to buy the one thats needed for this. Hopefully this updates to be used with all formats.
Was really looking forward to playing the game. Since theres no Apple Play feature, you have to Screen Mirror. Then we got into about 3 scenes before it starts crashing every time. It would probably serve better as a TV App that we just have to sign into, but for now Im going to get our money back.
We downloaded the game to our iPad and iPhone and it will not play on either one. It just freezes and does nothing else.
The box clearly shows people playing on a tv. The app barely performs on an iPhone 10, and wont airplay to the television. There is no smart tv app available. When you do airplay, Its super choppy and crashes. Its impossible to play in a group with a single phone screen to play off of.
Just bought this game. Wish we wouldve read the reviews on the app before buying. Got the game set up to start playing. App froze during setting up our account. Such a disappointment.
We used to play the disney version as a kid and we loved it, we were excited to see this one on target, but it is just difficult, not family fun. We barely know the movies in there and the questions are extremely difficult.
We tried to play this game with our family, we were super excited knowing that they switched it over to a board game. But who wouldve known that it would freeze and kick us out constantly. This game is truly a flaming pile of ****. We dont think we have ever played such a terrible game in our life. This game is way too specific, for example what is the name of the supporting roles dogs neighborhoods baby sitters grandma in _____? #garbage. Do not recommend. Writing this review was more fun than the game.

Just a heartless cash grab, making money from peoples nostalgia of the old good games. It should not be that hard to update their games but yeah here it is. App is absolutely broken. Didnt even test the game before they shipped it.
Loved the old scene it games and was excited to see a new one. Wasnt able to play one game before the app locked on a loading screen. Deleted, reinstalled, turned off, turned on again, did not help. Cant do jack if the app doesnt work. Terrible job Gamestar+ F -.
We were hopeful for this game to finally have streaming capabilities but in 3 games we had to skip over 10 questions on the streaming video because they were all duplicates back to back to back.
We bought this game not knowing that we would have to download an app to play. We wouldnt be too bothered by this, but we quickly realized that the app barely works, and you cant play the game without the app. Whats the point of paying all this money for a broken game? They should have stuck to DVDs.
This app is awful it crashes all the time and many functions dont work. Wish we could get our money back for the actual game now.
The code doesnt work and there is no help or customer service to get a working one issued. Very Disappointing and frustrating after purchasing the physical board game.
We open the app, sign in and then a blank screen loads. Ive tried to launch the app multiple times and Ive left the blank screen there for 10 mins. Nothing ever loads. Total crap.
If we were this apps creator, Id be embarrassed by the quality of this app. Its incredibly slow and freezes every time we try to skip the intro. Guess Im stuck just doing the trivia cards because we doubt Id get a refund for the game. Waste of money.
Bought this game as a throwback to when we used to have it, cant even play it with the videos because the app is so buggy and wont load.

Our family was such a huge fan of the original scene its! So when we saw this on the shelves it went straight into the cart. We spent an hour trying to figure out how to play it on the tv. Casting it didnt work at all. The game has a picture that suggests you can play on the tv. Its glitchy and freezes your phone if you try. We hope they fix the bugs so we can find a way to play.
Please fix your app and website. This game is so much fun, but getting the essential app or website to load and keep running without crashing or freezing is such a pain. Also. Getting the same question multiple times in a row is extremely frustrating.

At first it was just lagging. Now it doesnt work at all.
Game is super fun but its so annoying that the questions repeat themselves in a short period of time or literally right after another. Also, it would be cool if the clips shown had something to do with the questions being asked.
Game repeats the same questions over and over again in short periods of time, like multiple times in the same game.
We streamed it on a laptop using an HDMI cord so that we can use our TV. We had to get up after every time that we rolled the dice unless we used the cards, assuming that you dont use the timer. It was super glitchy and we even tried using the app on our phone in hopes that we could connect it to our smart TV; we could not. Same problems with the glitches on our phones as well. We would have preferred using a DVD to play the game, like they used to. It seemed that they only used 10 different movies to base questions off of. Also, any time that it lagged it would repeat the questions that we had before. Given that it lagged a lot, it was a bit frustrating to navigate. Save your self some heart ache and head ache. Dont buy this.

Tough to watch all plays on a phone. Could be a much better party game with connectivity like chromecast.
