Never thought I’d be able to mud on our phone. Been playing for a couple weeks now and love it. The only thing we are afraid of is losing our aliases and triggers, if we could export or save these, that would be awesome!

This app is really good for playing muds. It has different themes and fonts which can affect the mood of the game. It is intuitive to use and we really like the automatic movement controls. We’re excited to see how it will improve in the future.

By far the best client available for iPhone.

Dear lord, please include a way to remove preset worlds. We find them to be clutter and theyre making us anxious! ETA: Please ignore the fact we were swiping the wrong way … Raised to 5 with dev response!

We have been using this app for a year and honestly it is very easy to use.

Most visually impaired compatible mud client on iOS. Definitely worth the bye. Developer is very friendly and helpful.

This is a pretty good little client. We got Bluetooth keyboard to work and the alias, macros, and triggers aren’t bad either. pitch Try the LPMud Everdark at everdark. Org port 3000. Great mud, lots of details, and the quests are great and pretty challenging! Can it get added to the default list? Thanks.

This is by FAR the best MUD client for iDevices that we’ve ever come across. It’s packed full of great features; such as having a tiny button to "scroll" up to the command you last entered, so there’s no need to type it again and again. You are able to write your own aliases, triggers, etc. Worth every penny. If you want to MUD on your iPad, iPhone, or whatever your iDevice is, this is the client you want. Absolutely amazing!

This is hands down the best client out there! And it’s free!! :)

Tinkered with MUDs back in the day to pass time. Now as an adult we can play at work or on the go, all while making it look like we are doing something important. Software is simple, yet great. So far the only issue we found isnothing.

Used this client for a year. Makes playing MUDs on mobile simple. Allows us to kill our character while on the go. Or loo! Merchanting is painless jk it’s always painful save us. This client is an excellent enabler for your mudding addiction. Sometimes client dc’s when run in background, but we’ve found all of them tend to – probably our phone disliking the eternally open connection? Who knows. \o/ Wish it’d support copying from mud window.

Absolutely Best Mud Client for IOS, hands down. Feature packed MUD client, and a Dev that responds immediately, with awesome support! Awesome work Dev!

MUDRammer on the iPad Pro with Smart Keyboard is a very intuitive experience, and on par with any desktop MUD client out there, if not better. The developer has been quick to quick to respond to any questions we’ve had via Twitter. Definitely suggest if you’re looking for a quality App for MUDs/MUSHes!

Only thing I’d change is an option to slightly indent long lines on wrap to make reading a bit easier. Otherwise, way better than we expected from iOS!

We really enjoy the app but it’s frustrating that we can’t find a way to disable the bar from Apple with the undo and paste shortcuts from popping up at the bottom in the way of our text bar.

Flawless support for ANSI colors, great font/size options, and FREE! What else could you need for a mobile MuD/talker client?

Went on vacation with only our iPad and got that MUD itch during downtimes. Found this app and it has really helped us enjoy MUDs again. We’ll probably be getting a Bluetooth keyboard at some point, but even with the on-screen one this is great. Highly recommended!

We have been using this app for the last 4 years, with 3.5 of those years seeing it put to decently heavy use on a regular basis, and this really is the best for mobile play. We’re not sure I’d rely on it for heavy combat, but we never needed to as we are more of a social/rp gamer and we also think that you could do it if you put in the customizing time. For our case, we were able to make sound triggers for everything we need to be alerted of without a hitch and we never felt like either we couldn’t do something or we had to faff around with something overly complicated. One suggestion would be to allow for copying and pasting without having to tap each line individually, maybe going into a select mode or something, but that might be hard. All in all, love this app! Brought up the page to share with someone and couldn’t believe how few reviews it had, so thought I’d add our own.

We have been using MUDRammer for two+ years. It meets all our mobile muffing needs. However, iOS 11 gave us a scare when our quotes and double quotes stopped working in game. There was, of course, an easy fix… Go to your device settings>general>keyboard and turn off SMART PUNCTUATION. Great app, with triggers, tickers, aliases, and up to 4 simultaneous connections.

We’ve had it for over a year now we believe and it has progressed well. There are many features, including alias’, macros, triggers, gags, etc that are stored on your specific MUD profile and you can copy it to others so you don’t have to memorize and transfer everything between MUD’s. There are two radial movement shortcuts. You can drag the circle in the direction you want to travel, and another circle for in/out/enter/exit, or disable one or both. The design is sleek and comfortable. There are many color themes and fonts to use. While we personally use Chocolate, all fonts usually looks best against a black theme. It seems most complaints we would have are based around the small screens and lack of in depth complexity, but since they fit all this content into a mobile app?… Instant five stars!

This is a great MUD client for when we’re on the go. We love being able to customize its look and feel and both gesture controls are amazing. Thank you!

Great app for MUDding on the go, however it has two problems, one: The logging thing makes the app crash and never works. Two: we were playing hellmoo and it worked fine for the first few weeks of doing it on our phone until what it would do is if we hadnt input a command it wouldnt work even if its the right syntax and it does that frequently which gets annoying when youre doing a PvP intense game.

Despite being six years since its last update, we still use this app for playing on the go. Hope to see future updates!

For some reason whenever we use an apostrophe the app or whatever doesnt recognize it as an apostrophe. If we send: say hi Im Jon. What shows is: Hi I?m Jon. Makes it rather annoying when we cant attune or spirit bind certain spirits because they have apostrophes in their name. We also wish there were clearer examples in commands. Making aliases and triggers and such.

We love this MUD client, it works with our braille display and it’s very easy to use with a screenreader. However, when we try to email session logs to myself, the app crashes. We don’t really have another way to log our sessions, so I’d appreciate it if that issue could be fixed.

This app has made it possible for us to make friends with fellow gamers with minimal use of cellular data. Great functionality. There are a couple small problems that Id love to see addressed, though. (1) The app crashes whenever we try to have it email the session logs. (2) we have no way short of uninstalling and reinstalling it to purge the archive of old session logs. (3) Ever since we upgraded our iOS to version 11, the in-app keyboard is missing the peripheral extra keys when the iPhone is in landscape orientation, and the microphone key is badly placed, leading to the iPhone chiming in awkward situations when we inadvertently tap it.

Awesome mud client would shell out some cash if it had a pro version with an automapper.

So we’re absolutely loving the app, but apparently we’re dumb because we cannot see a way to edit or update existing triggers/aliases. Scouring Google did not see to come up with an answer. Is it possible to update them and if so how do we get there?

Considering its a client app for a phone or tablet its pretty good, but recently in the last 6 months or so it appears the encoding is off and enters all our apostrophes as question marks which really limits our in game abilities for the MUD we play.

Update: The dev is responsive to requests/questions, and we really like that. Also, it works great with our Bluetooth keyboard, so that’s another plus. This app just keeps getting better and better. Original review below: we’ve looked at several MUD clients, and they all were missing one major feature in our book. When the text we were typing got to the edge of the screen, the other apps would just continue on, pushing the previous text outside the box. MUDRammer on the other hand extends the text box and puts the new text below the old so we can see it all at once. Keep up the good work, DEV!

We feel like it’s a bit laggy (would be 5 stars otherwise), but we wanted a convenient way to mud on the iPad – and it delivers. Helpful hint – if you are going to use a Bluetooth keyboard (which, why wouldn’t you??) then go to your Settings->General->Keyboard->Shortcuts and toggle it off otherwise you will get a pop up bar that covers your command prompt in this app.

This is by far the best client on the Idevices. We would have given this amazing app 5 stars but there is an issue with the games descriptions cutting into the map. Not a big deal just a slight annoyance on HellMoo. This App is amazing and we very highly recommend it.

Hey! After using this client a couple of times to continue playing when we didn’t have access to a standard or regular computer, we have to say it’s one of our favorite clients for iOS. Just one small issue – whenever we hit "mail session log", the app crashes, so we unfortunately can’t use it for logging. Other than that, great app.

This is just our initial review after having use the app for last 24 hours. So far so good. We are a voiceover user and we have found it very accessible. So far very few things have caused any confusion which is always nice.

We love it! Now we can mud from the iPad. Very few mud apps out there for the iMac, let alone the iPad. We’re so glad we found this. It has everything we need except variables. Once we have those – bye bye VMWareFusion/Windows/CMud.

Unless you want to use a Telnet client to play MUDs and such, this app is the only game in town. Its a good app. Its functional. And probably when it was first released. But it definitely could be better. Id like to make a feature request for mapping, like the Aardwolf PC client does. It would be nice to poke a button, or swipe, and bring out an editable map window that the player can use, where he/she can make notes in each location to add details and reminders of stuff. Also, a windows that you can create and add notes to would be nice. Overall, beyond those features that we would like to have added, this is a pretty solid, slightly better than basic, MUD client.

This app is terrific we just have one problem this sounds for sound triggers are terrible we wish there was a way you could add your own sound.

This would be a great MUD app, except for the fact that on the iPhone 6 Plus you lose the connection when you rotate the screen. If they fix that problem it’ll be a 5 star app.

We like this app very much, but for some reason apostrophes get sent to the server as question marks, leaving us unable to practice multi word skills/spells.

Excellent app especially the multi-world support. It has issues with bluetooth keyboards. If we put it in the background and come back we have lost half our screen. The bottom half is blank. It does not put a keyboard on screen, so it still knows the bluetooth is connected, but we have half the screen space.

Saw a review while downloading this that said there was a bug on iPhone 6S where when you turned the screen orientation the client disconnected. We assumed this to be fixed, but sadly it is not. Would love to give this 5 stars, but 3 because we have to lock the screen rotation before we use the app.

The client seems to do all the things youd hope for with the exception of a couple shorthand commands that we cant wrap our head around. On MUSHes and such, using before a line is shorthand for the say command. On MUDs, using before a line is the same thing. Unfortunately, neither of these seem to work. Dealing with a guy whos been MU*ing for more than a decade, not having these function is a bit jarring. If we’ve overlooked something, please let us know! Happy to change the review score.

Please update your interface to be compatible with iPhone Xs.

We cant even get through character creation. Every time we trying creating a character it autosaves(shows a percentage) then after that eveything we type comes up as unrecognized command. Whats wrong?

App doesnt work at all. Wont let us change edit or add a world outside of whatever avanaent game it starts you out of. We go to input hostname and port, but the interface just scrolls down and will not let us enter the information for the game we want. We know long ago this app worked. Now it is just not useful at all. Shame really.

Hasnt been updated in years, crashes repeatedly. Sadly, look elsewhere.

Which in an mmo seems like an awful modern spamcatastrophe.

They only let you use kids of their choice. They will ban any others.

This seems to be a visually appealing app, and well set up, but we could not get it to work with a bluetooth keyboard… Rendering it pointless for us.

The only MUD client worth having. Amazing work!!
