Community Insight:
This game, we will buy. We would love to see more game like this from big fish. It's colorful and bright. We love the garden it starts in. There is mystery as the rest of the games but we really like games like this that show a lot of beauty and nature surroundings. The puzzles are easy and could be a little more challenging according to the first puzzle. We didn't get very far yet but so far we like what we see. Wish the newer games were more like this.
Really enjoyable. Beautiful scenery. Good story. Love the cultural background.
We were enormously pleased with this game and relished all the myriad details from Japanese folklore.
We truly enjoyed this Mythic Wonders game. We never understood the low ratings. Its something different and graphics are excellent. No glitches during gameplay. Alot of dialogue, hops were fun. Its not the most difficult game, however did get stuck a few times. Overall great game if your looking for something different.
We enjoyed this game very much. Good graphics, challenging mini games, nice music. The usual good vs bad story line, but best of all the witchery, evil, blood thirsty junk is missing. Thank you.
They got most of the story and visuals right. Sometimes pronunciations of names and such are off, ema boards referred to as plaques, but very well done. #21DayJapaneseTempleRun2015.
Very fun, loved the story and different location, more please.
We are thoroughly enjoying this game. So nice to have a different genre. Finding the game play relaxing and peaceful.
We enjoyed this game. It has very clean graphics that we greatly enjoyed. We would recommend it even though there are some glitches in the game. Some objects need to be moved around until they are accepted. Sometimes the map doesn't show the available tasks. Just use the hint and you'll be moved along. We also agree that C2D should have done more research before they conflated the two cultures of Children nest and Japanese, but don't let that keep you from playing.
Really beautiful scenes, but game play could have been much better. The puzzles with multiple solutions was the most annoying…a correct answer was not enough. To solve it more than once to find THEIR correct answer was frustrating. Map was good, and hints were useful. Bonus content seemed rough, as if they never did a thorough run through.
If Izzyoc and Opinion do not like this game, what are the odds that we will? Slim to None? We will get back to you after we try it out! BigFish, stop wasting our time! Give us the new Dreampath already! Funny that you listened and gave us the game, which got raves from KimTwilight! This game however was very average. It had certain features we like but was also lacking otherwise. First of all there were 3 difficulty settings, with no option to customize your settings. There were no glints except for the HO scenes. The game was lengthy and had a bonus adventure. The graphics were pretty but not sharp; we thought there was a lot of pixilation. At each location you collect a morphing origami crane. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map to transport you. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. There was no journal but objectives were regularly updated. The storyline was simple to follow, and also unoriginal. The HO scenes were of 4 types: word lists, morphing objects, finding related items, and using one object to unlock another one via silhouette. The puzzles were boring and a lot were rotational. We found the game glitchy, with hard tapping required and a lot of difficulty when combining objects in the HO scenes. This game was tedious to play and there were no interesting gimmicks, so it seemed dated. Oh, we forgot! You had magical ink to use on scrolls to unlock more of the story (similar to the books in Mad Head games). We never heard of the developer before and if this was the best quality we do not want to play another of their games! Our actual rating is 2.5 stars and we are being generous for the new year! Happy New Year, DTE and reviewers.
This is not our review – In answer to your mystery on the release dates of Mythic Wonders & Broadbeach Cove, they were both in the app store on December 22nd as Big Fish new releases. We thought this was an little added bonus from Big Fish for Christmas. (our Mistake) we are terribly disappointed that now come to find out Big Fish puts them on their app as new releases, only with a later date. The feeling is, even though they have put all of their games on sale for New Years, that doesn't do much for those of us who are regular players & buyers of their games. That being said, now there is nothing new to play, as we are sure that most of us already have these sale games. We are less than thrilled with this. As for Mythic Wonders – Thought it had a lot of potential, then turned into a sleeper. The feeling we had was the developers didn't quite know when to end the search for her son. Then it was suddenly over. Started out adventurous and then went south. KdBoots ( Happy New Year to our fellow Dream Team reviewers & we hope we get some good new games soon!).
Another mediocre game in which the creators couldn't take the time to properly research Japanese culture. From the font to the voice actors' accents, the game is very offensive.
Please, do not mix up Japan & China. At least use proper language, we're very disappointed.
This game is too short for $3.99. We know the effort that goes into designing these games and hard work, this game has none of these. It's too short and you have to tap too many times to get anything to work.
We tried this game, as we always do. We were very disappointed. We didn't use sound, so we didn't hear the voices. But, the game is pretty lame. The free selection was over in a NY minute. The HO scene was rather confusing, but manageable. It just wasn't fun. It was a "find the shape" HO, which we don't care for. We got the map, but never had the opportunity to use it. The game was over too quickly to use it. We had to use the hint button, and it was working fine. The game seems old, though it says it's new. Definitely will NOT be on our list to buy.
Very bad.Not worth the time or money.
