The most breathtaking graphics we’ve ever seen in a game. Not your everyday storyline either. Loved it.

Love the graphics, easy to navigate.

This is an interesting, unique game with a timely Da de los Muertos theme. The story is great and the puzzles challenging. The characters accents could use some work, but thats the only (admittedly nit-picky) negative feature of this great game. It was part of the Halloween sale, but its worth $6.99 or more. Well done, Big Fish! Id love to have more like this one.

This is a beautifully done game with a unique and interesting storyline. The graphics are crystal clear with vibrant colors. Fun hidden object scenes which are interactive, puzzles were simplistic, however still required some thought. Collectibles in each scene, morphing objects as well to collect. Transporting map and Great characters and voiceovers. Absolutely Loved it! Storyline was not only educating but interesting. Highly recommend buying this one. Very smooth & quick transitions. Overall, a whole Lot of Fun!!! Play & Enjoy Thanks to the developers & Big Fish! KdBoots ( Very Happy Gamer) Looking Forward to our next release, as we had a hard time putting this one down. 5 stars for us!

Otherwise, super solid game & while the theme has been done before, its a relatively unique spin & was perfect considering the time of year!

(We Celebrate the "Day Of The Dead"!) Who would resist the opportunity to visit Mexico a country that’s known for its Pacific and Gulf of Mexico beaches; its diverse landscapes of mountains, deserts, and jungles; its ancient ruins; and, of course, Mexican food and tequila during a time of extraordinary celebrations of culture and life. It’s the "Day of the Dead" a special holiday in which dead ancestors are the guests of honor, as the people celebrate the memories of deceased relatives. So, pack your bags and don’t forget your sombreros because we are off to "The Land of the Dead" to participate in the festivities. As far as the storyline goes, it started off well, delivering an exciting introduction to the "Day-of-the-Dead" theme, thus maintaining our keen interest in how the plot would unfold. But, by the middle of the game, the intriguing subject became thrown on the back burner. The plot lost focus on the celebratory concept and took a left turn towards the typical "chasing-after-a-supernatural-entity" idea plaguing many HOAs. The artwork is stunning, capturing the true essences of Mexico’s rich history and heritage. The environmental details are fashioned to showcase the jovial spirit of this holiday: festive face paints, in the form of skeletal make-up; floral hair pieces, Catrinas, decorated with marigold flowers; and colored flags, strewn across the buildings. Some particular traditions and customs authentically illustrate the "Day-of-the-Dead" theme endless seas of candle-lit altars, set around the graves of loved ones; offerings to the dead, such as their favorite foods (e.g., sugar skulls); and fancy ornate-embroidered dresses, worn by las mujeras (the women). The omnipresent skeletons are portrayed in a myriad of bright and colorful patterns, and they provide a playful, mischievous vibe with their lampooning gestures and garb. We love the skeletal trio of musicians. The theme of the storyline blends into the artistic designs of the HOSs. They are diverse in format, although they do not present any original elements. The puzzles are thematically rendered to suit the storyline. They are creatively executed, as well as sometimes challenging. There are a few collectibles, including discovering morphing objects within the HOSs. Most HOAs take us to Europe, where the societies and settings are often indistinctly depicted. However, this time we enjoyed traveling to a less-visited country, one that is admired for close family bonds, a strong foundation for unity, and a unique flair for honoring their ancestors. This game is a pleasant surprise; however, we did deduct a star for the digression of the storyline.

Mediocre game – not linear, too many puzzles, not enough HOPs. The HOPs are mostly pieces parts, not entire objects. Needs a faster refresh rate. In our opinion, the story does not interest us that much. Positive – bright graphics. Extra menu lets you locate missing souvenirs and objects. Probably is worth $3.99.

Beautiful graphics, wonderful music. Cool theme… Dia de los Muertos. But those puzzles… So confusing and could not understand instructions. Had to skip most, which is a total waste. Very glitchy also. Dont recommend, unless you enjoy frustration.

It was fun, but seemed short. Map is okay, but doesnt show areas where there is still a collectible.

Everything was doable but directions on how to complete activities were vague.

Overall we liked this game, but there were too many glitches and poor mini game instructions. We ended up skipping too many mini games because we couldn’t get the point or strategy. There were some objects that we found, but couldn’t select because the "hot area" was too small. We liked HOPs, and there were too few for us. We did like the absence of gory violence and the colorful scenery, as well as the Mexican culture depicted.

There is a lot good to say about this game including graphics, story; but so many of the games were glitchy, opaque, and had confusing instructions which didnt really say how to do it; we ended up skipping about half of them, and it put us in quite a mood!

Love this game and the series but on our ipad 2 games freeze right in the middle or beginning of game. We restart. Erase, delete and reinstall and still will freeze. Our sister has the same ipad and it works fine. Downloaded from same app. Cant seem to get it to work unless we down load it on our old tiny ipad.

The first realm was very active and more thought put into it. The last 3 realms were barely enough to even realize you played one. Appears the game was rushed to try to make money before truly completing the original idea of the game.

Beautiful graphics and interesting storyline. The instructions for the puzzles were puzzling. Maybe translation is the problem. We could not figure out how to play a lot of the puzzles so just skipped and thats not fun. We usually have no problem with the puzzles of most other games, not even needing instruction most of the time. This games puzzles were just not clearly explained. We agree that using a cape with alcohol to take off solid wax when you had a cigarette lighter in your inventory was maddening.

The game had a refreshing and more unusual storyline but we couldnt follow all the nuances. If EIPIX gave us a cohesive journal and not just updated objectives we might have understood what we needed to do in each place. The graphics were beautiful but not as clear and crisp as could be. There was a teleport map to transport you instantaneously between locations (and unlike the previous game, this one worked). At each location you collect a scorpion symbol. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. The gimmick was the magic blade, and we hated the mini-game associated with it! The HO scenes were your typical assortment, with skipping stones as the alternative puzzle. We really didnt like the assortment of puzzles/games. There were many rotational sorts and others of dexterity, and due to some touch screen sensitivity issues we couldnt manipulate some of them. Because of this issue, also present when obtaining or applying inventory issues, we found myself second-guessing our skills and instincts and using hints when we didnt really need them. In addition this was an extremely short game! Our true review will stand at 3.5 stars. We deducted stars for length, touch screen sensitivity issues, and the assortment of puzzles/games. We sure hope Domini is up next; at least their gameplay is usually extremely smooth! Happy gaming everyone!

Such beautiful scenes wasted on a game that has terrible and lacking instruction and direction. There are multiple times you need to just tap the screen anywhere from 3-8 times to move the game forward, but it doesnt tell you that anywhere. Mini game instructions (if available) seem to give you step 1 in a five step process but never show you steps 2 through 5. It was like the makers created 60% of the game and just quit.

The beautiful graphics and interesting storyline were ruined by the puzzles for us. Odd puzzle directions left us constantly checking the SG, not only for directions but to see how much longer we had to endure the game. Couldve been the whole enchilada but…. Sigh….

Positives: the artwork was beautiful, it had an original setting, we like the morphing objects and collectibles. Negatives: we skipped several of the mini games because the directions were incomprehensible or the games themselves were just random guessing, no strategy involved, or they were just dumb. Also, not enough HOPs. We stuck with it because it was pretty to look at and a departure from the typical ghoulish, macabre stories Big Fish churns out. Also we got it on saleDO NOT pay full price for this.

Update: we just played this game again, a year and a half later. We thought maybe we were being too hard on the game, maybe we had just played something really outstanding before it, and by comparison it was not good. Nope! Its even worse than we previously said! Many objects look like they are going to be something interactive, but no its just a decoration. It couldve been magical, which is so frustrating! Its like the art department created all this magical scenery, expecting the programming team to use it, but they did not. And the story is quite disjointed, two lovers who died are reunited once a year in a legend, turns out one is still alive? Makes no sense. Really silly mini games mostly, except the ribbon game and one or two logic games. Downgraded from 3 to 2 stars. We wont give 1 star unless its unplayable. Its playable, but we dont think youll want to! This game couldve been great. The imagery was beautiful and bright. But there were only like two things to do in each scene. And it was short, it just kind of ended in the middle of the story. They really just phoned this one in, and while Eipix is not known for creativity or innovation, this one was poorly done by even their standards.

The clues were clue-less – like using alcohol and a tiny cape to get wax off of a skull. Hard to navigate – cant really look around. HOPs were ok – nice alternative. Puzzles very standard – some with confusing directions.

Installed, deleted and reinstalled on iPad Pro. Wont start after Big Fish logo screen. Waiting for update.

We had to skip about 3/4 of the puzzles because they were either too hard to understand or we would complete them but they wouldnt close. Had to skip skip skip. Very annoying and wish we could get a refund.
