Find out what gamers are saying about Nano Empire:

We had a great time going through this game. A very unique story. We wish these types of well made but small games got more attention in the App Store. If you are reading this we recommend you give it a try.

This is a fantastic incremental which does not use a pay-to-speed mechanic. It tells a single story, like Spaceplan or Universal Paperclips. Well worth a dollar.

We are definitely going to play this again to see what else will happen.

The game is great. We just got an ending. Id love to see more games like this, particularly a fantasy RPG with fairies, dragons, elves, goblins, and the like. Thanks for an accessible game.

If you can enjoy text based game you will really love this game.

We are a totally blind person, and we absolutely love this game! Keep it up we look forward to the next game that you put out. Period.

This game is a very cool idea, and is 100% accessible with voice over. Thank you very much for your time on this :) !!!

A lot of thought and creativity went into this. The buildings you can make all do different things, and all together always leave you with something you can do to improve yourself. Really liked this.

Classic game. Help the resistance or seize power for yourself. Its up to you! NOTE: to learn the secret, repeatedly Listen to the Voices at the Great Clown Head and note down all words that have capitalized letters. When you write these down in alphabetical order, the capitalized letters will reveal a secret message.

At only 6 MB this game really shows you how much fun you can have with very little resources. Just finished it once and ready to jump back in.

This is a very cool game for those of us who use VoiceOver and are visually impaired. Sad to see it end, though/sure wish it couldve had a few more battles/places to create. Oh well! It was fun/worth the purchase.

Our wife and we love this game. Is an outstanding way to spend a couple of minutes or couple of hours simply losing out and spending time in your own head. Its a great fantastic mechanic will building. The guy with the stick.

Accessible to the blind and hard to put down.

Excellent incremental strategy game. Couldnt stop playing once we started… We had to beat it 4 times to see the different endings. It was a lot of fun to fine tune a speed running strategy to get to the end faster each time. Outstanding game design!

Very well done and a bargain at this price. Enjoy.

As someone who had eyesight and use to love world, empire or city building war games, but uses VoiceOver, it wasnt that bad. We cant imagine how fun it would be if there was actual multiplayer mechanics such as battling other real players online or being able to join alliances and text and chat with them or if the game also had an overworld map where you could locate other players or ours resources, text and chat with and or attack other individual players or text and chat with everyone in that overworld or server. Plus, if youre in an alliance, you could reinforce or send resources or rally with them to defeat stronger individual players and it would be cool if you could name your world too. Im not sure how an overworld map would work with VoiceOver, but maybe if there was a way to use VoiceOvers direct touch on the overworld map, it could work maybe because some games with direct touch designed for blind people allow the VoiceOver user to navigate grids or map tiles horizontally by swiping left or right with one finger and while swiping up or down with one finger lets you navigate vertically. We also think two finger double tap could be used to bring up a menu from the overworld map that lets you search for a specific map tile by typing in the row and column or (X and Y) coordinates or from that menu you could choose to return to the Your world menu where you can choose to continue the campaign, create or select one of the locations you already have so you can use one of its functions or upgrade it or just to review the overall progress of your worlds or empires growth and progress. Swiping left, right, up and down with two fingers can have VoiceOver read your current amount of energy, followers, attack points and defense points (depending on the resource assigned to each direction you swipe in), while swiping left, right, up and down with three fingers can read your current production rates of energy, followers, attack points and defense points. (Also depending on the direction you swipe in for each resource) If this game was multiplayer, it would be cool if it could track a lifetime of things like your victories, defeats, kills, lost and resources plundered or lost. This game is fun, but its really short and the upgrades are very limited because the maximum level for each building is level 4 and after you fully upgrade everything and either complete the campaign or the underworld, theres really no replay value besides trying to get the few different endings this game has. We’ve always loved games that always has a endless amount of challenges or goals to reach, such as reaching a certain level or getting a certain amount of kills, we dont know what it is about these types of games that attracts us but we think its when we complete those challenges or goals, we always feel a sense of accomplishment, or it just feels rewarding and it just motivates us to play more and more no matter what happens or how hard it gets or how much we lose. Yes, this game is super short and we literally beat it the day after we downloaded it and it really doesnt have any replay value besides the different endings, it still managed to simulate that sense of accomplishment or being rewarding even if it was short lived. This game does have a lot of potential and honestly if we had to pay some micro transactions and we chose to pay to win we might because this game has that potential to be so much better and we would love to see more games just like this one that have reached its full potential, but Im not going to knock this games rating for what it could be.

This is a great game. We just wish we didnt have to fight if we didnt want to. It makes sense that as soon as other enemies noticed you theyll start attacking, we just wish that we could build up our world sometimes without having to focus so much on fighting. There are so many possible combinations that its so fun to us just to see what we can create. As a side note, VoiceOver tends to switch focus to the status bar, but thats probably because the game refreshes so much. We dont think theres much to be done about that.

This game reminds us of the great BBS games of yesteryear! If you are old enough to remember and appreciate those, you’ll like this! We had a great time playing (and winning) the game! Yes, it can be won!! :-) we highly recommend this game for the casual gamer!!

This is awesome and addicting. We just wish it was longer and had more enemies.

We love this game, thanks for fixing the bug. It would be cool, to have a multiplayer version.

Lots of fun for being so easy to just pick up and play.

We really really love the concept of this game, you should reallllly look into trying to develop it a bit more… We swear Id play the heck out of it since we’ve already played liked 20 worlds so far already… Only for 99¢?! The story, the simply yet progressive design and all of that stuff in the game is just, SO on point. We promise whatever update you add, if we gotta purchase an add-on ID BE COMPLETELY OKAY WITH THAT. We checked your twitter and it said you were a college student working on game development. Im really happy to see your upcoming, and Id love to see some more creative versatile world builders like this one. Major major props. Good luck in school!

Thank you for making a fantastically enjoyable game as well as one that is accessible with voiceover.

Pleasantly surprised and horribly addicted :)

It’s a fun game, with probably more endings than the one we just got.

We really loved this game. It was imaginative and fun, the story was intriguing but not ham-fisted with both the gameplay and the narratives accepting whatever amount of attention you bring to them. Massive props for not asking to be rated until the end. Overall, things could be improved with some replay value and maybe a "quick action" for each facility. Opening and closing all the time and scrolling down from the top can be a pain towards the end.

Great game! We have been several times. We are still trying to figure out what the secret is. On the menu there is a spot to type in a secret but we’re not sure what it is and it does not give it to you when you beat the game.

This game is a lot of fun. We highly recommend it for anyone who is into world-building games. Our only quibble is that as a Voice Over user, we are frustrated by the app’s tendency to continually move focus to our phone’s status bar. Not sure if that’s something the developer could do anything about, ast it may be an IOS issue, but if you use VO, and can overlook the focus issues, this game is a must have, and a steal at only $0.99. We’re about to try to play through it again; the ending we got was not at all what we expected, but we know better next time.

Within the first five minutes, we were hooked! Set in a dystopian future, this little pocket dungeon is full of imaginative realms. We loved grinding our stats, beating a enemies, and of course, the surprise ending.

Love this and great it accessible with voice over and would more games please!

Great simple well executed game.

Not too difficult, but just right. Thanks for the great game.

This game is so fun, and the fact that it contains hours of addicting gameplay makes it even better!!!!

Bought this a while back, but recent sat down to understand it. Wow, Nano totally captures our attention and after a week of on and off, we finally crushed Z! Its totally an enjoyable progress bar sim that had enough sci-fi writing to pull us into the universe.

The game like with so many as we read has sucked us in it is a blast to play and we’ve only just started it the last few days but am hooked the different worlds and things you have to do is fun pith a bit of stress on which direction you gonna go so for us that’s a blast. The one thing we don’t like is that for our resources to go up we have to on the game we just wished they would go up when we wasn’t on because we don’t have lots of free spare time to just stay on the game but besides that we are hooked.

This is one of the best games we’ve ever played! Please make more games like this we love the fact that it is accessible with voiceover and we would love more like Nano Empire please? Thank you! We honestly wish the game never ended! Lol! Please make more games like this?! We need more games like Nano Empire that are accessible with voiceover! Thank you so much for working hard on making this accessible and for creating this game.!

Only one complaint – the combat system doesnt always make sense mathematically. 999,999,999 versus 5,000 and it takes more than a single hit to win? Other than that, great game. Already beat it once, going to try different tactics our second time through.

Love how accessible it is with VoiceOver. One thing that would make this game better would be if it had sounds.

This game is fun, we just there was something after you beat all opponents.

This game is addicting. It’s extremely simple to pick up, but once you do, you don’t want to stop playing. It’s easy; we beat it a couple of hours after downloading it, but we got a lot of entertainment out of it. We don’t see much replay value however, as it seems like the game just repeats itself once you’ve beat it. It’s one of those simple text adventure games. The UI is very simple, but could use some improvements. Overall, fun game for a short period of time.

Nice little game you can play in an afternoon. Creative storytelling. Definitely best for folks who like text based games.

First, we want to get the accessibility thing out of the way. It’s the only reason we didn’t rate the game higher. It was frustrating to play because when we would try to activate a button, VO would have trouble focusing on it long enough. So we would request a slower refresh rate for VO users. The turn-based combat was very nice for VO, though. Gave us time to read the status and decide what to do. We played through the game a few times to see the different endings. We like that you can win without resorting to extortionist methods like, you know, taxes. It was also possible to win without being unsavory. Yes, the energy you end the game with isn’t nearly as great as if you took all available sources of production, but you were still producing. Good that we wasn’t forced to be a villain just to win. The combats were a bit excessive. We suppose we could have zapped them and been done with it. But that’s energy that could go into worldbuilding, so we never felt like it was a good use of resources unless we absolutely had to use it. It’s astounding how much loot we could get from one fight, though, and we like how that was scaled. We almost never felt like we were strapped for energy. And if we did run low, we would often get help. That was a nice addition, too, that we haven’t seen in other games. We’re not sure we really like any of the endings we saw. Kind of makes it feel like all the effort to build the world was a waste. At least, it’s not like we lost days. The world can be built in a matter of hours. We enjoyed the worldbuilding. It was neat to see a blank world become a mighty empire and to have an established economy and steady stream of followers. This game is worth a look if you like text-based things with some roleplay elements.

We do really love this game we love being the creator of the world but we were thinking we could have a building where do you have an amusement park and you have to create it and we can make the personal residence have a level five where you can make it look like a castle or a boat or anything that you want it to be.
