A Glimpse into Nothing to Declare
On the 50th Anniversary of the EU Customs Union, the Malta Customs Administration proudly presents ‘Nothing to Declare’ video game to help you understand and appreciate the daily work carried out by the EU Customs Administrations to promote the legitimate trade while protecting EU citizens.
The game takes place in 3 locations, the Airport, Freeport and in the Post Sorting Facility. You play as a new recruit in the Customs team mentored by Reggie, your boss.
Shared international intelligence will help you identify and interrogate suspicious inbound passengers. Your job is to stop and interrogate passengers whose appearance match those mentioned in the daily intel report, exiting the airport from the wrong doors, carrying pets or who act suspicious during interrogation. Take your time with each passenger, there is no room for mistakes!
Work at the Port never ends. A continuous stream of trucks flow through the state of art fixed deep X-Ray head. Time is of the essence so make sure to compare the bill of lading document details like container identifiers, supplier names and the list of declared goods with the items you see in the container. You’ll be surprised with what some shippers have in store for you!
An ever-increasing number of packets are shipped to the island every year. Sniffer dogs to the rescue. You have to inspect all suspicious packages – those singled out by the sniffer dogs, coming from outside of the EU or with a particularly low declaration value.

How am we supposed to know if a package is from outside the eu, we have no clue what the eu is and also on the truckers coming through its saying there is illegal items but we see none sometimes.
Add endless mode this game is cool, but way to short.
We really enjoy this game because its different and its really fun. It is a very good simulation of what a Customs officer would do. Thank you for making this game, it is very enjoyable. The only problem that we have is it freezes some times while Im interrogating people. This game is very underrated and we hope it gets the attention it deserves.
Its good but the game keep failing in the trucks levels…..
We downloaded this game because the game we wanted costs to much money and we thought this game is similar! But this game will be best for teens. And the problem is you can not really see the guns or bombs. Also It gets annoying after you can not pass a day!
This game is fun and well made. We can feel that the developers worked really hard for this. Anyway, it still has rooms for improvement. 1. At the airport, its hard to identify what is illegal. The information in the intel is not enough. Who would think a baseball bat is illegal because its considered a weapon?? There should be more information about illegal items and what they look like. For example, we scanned a bag and saw some capsules. We dont know if its illegal drug or its medicine. There should be some indicators. Also, some weapons are really uncommon that are hard to recognize like stick grenade(or something like this, we cannot remember). If there are pictures of all illegal items in the intel books, it would be very nice. 2. For passengers passing through the red gate, there should be a list of what they declare. 3. The face expression is not much useful like sometimes passengers seem nervous but actually did nothing wrong and vice versa. We think there should be a way to make it more useful. 4. We agree with other reviews that there should be a bug for truck inspection levels as we almost never got an A no matter how hard we tried and the one it usually said that we missed is a truck with illegal items that is not that hard to spot so we think it could be a bug. Also we think there was a level where it said we made a mistake not to flag a truck from Philippines for counterfeit goods. The problem is Philippines is not on the high-risk country list. 5. The post office stage is kinda boring. First of all, its too hard to identify countries just from flags. There should be a country name on the packages as some country flags are very similar for example, Poland and Indonesia. Second, the instructions said to inspect all packages from outside the EU and ignore declaration value for packages from EU so, basically, the declaration value has no use at all. You just need to throw all non-EU packages for inspection and let all EU packages pass unless it has a scratch from the dog. We dont understand why you bother to put the declaration value rule here while all other rules have already overridden this rule. 6. Last, we hope you build more stages. Its actually fun!! You can even make it available for in-game purchase.
We really like this game and we love playing it but for us when we are playing the game and we might be almost finished one round it freezes out and we didn’t have a chance to finish and it gets super annoying and right now we cant even play at all since it keeps glitching out please fix this !!
We were really enjoying the game and we finished the training. We expected the game to be longer. Like after we finished the training there would be more to do. But it just said congrats you finished the game and said if you want to play more reset the game in setting.
This was fun for about 5 minutes before we got to day 2. Understandably to increase difficulty, more passengers are making mistakes like going through the wrong channel. Every time we stop and interview the first person to go through the wrong gate, the game freezes and we have to completely close the app. Wish it was less buggy because we were having fun for the short time it was working.
We pressed everything right and it says you made 4 mistakes we rate this a 2 star only ugh.
All the expectations are not explained. Like the first port level, youre told to make sure they all have the correct amount of crates. Does not mention to keep an eye out for the numbers of the truck. And when youre checking customs, it is hard to see the X-rays of luggage.
It keeps giving us an F due to four warnings and one mistake for a truck that doesnt even show up! We love the game but we cant do anything else!!!
So nothing is explained in this game. Like for example when you have to check animal passports it will ding you for letting the person through but the animals DOB is wrong. You have to know the flags of the countries thats important too. You have to know what countries are in the EU. You also have to know that certain items will put you over the amount that the person is allotted to bring with them on the plane. Oh and did we mention you have to check like 5 million things in the span of 15 seconds? Yeah super fun!!
On level six, there are CLEARLY real knifes. When we flag them, we get a warning.
The game is amazing but its either the fact that im not paying much or attention to detail or not but for the post office its hard to read what the packages say so we cant tell the price or where its from.
What ruins it for us is on Day 18 the game keeps freezing and both times it has been on a guy that went through the wrong channel.
It adds too much to the basic levels and the game is some what bugged. They need to have it more clear and less exaggerated. And more easier to see pictures.
Its pretty good but on the 3rd level it keeps giving us a mistake for a truck that doesnt even show up in the level?
When ever there is something hidden in the trucks on the port levels, we dont know what reason to use for inspection. We need help!
