Dive into Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator

The parrot is back from the dead bringing countless new insults for your disposal, Sir! Remember that silly game that parted lovers, destroyed families and turned friends into enemies? Here’s its successor that does even more, certainly with more style and more variety. And I have proof! This time you can spread affront to everyone in the world that has Internet access or – if you’re not the most sociable – you can sit alone and play with yourself. Nudge nudge.

So don’t let the parrot die for nothing and tell that grumpy old lady that her husband donated organs for a strange woman lying in a pond and that her sister poses nude for some dog. Then meet a retired hipster who admires pictures of a grunting sow, and a fake Russian who borrowed a dead body to put his teacup and crumpets on. It’s also the only game that lets you learn what’s The Meaning of Life, and that’s scientifically proven!

"Playing in local multiplayer mode made me laugh more in five minutes than most games manage over an entire campaign."

  • Oscar Dayus, Pocket Gamer –

"Oh… Sir!’ is our favorite insult-em-up"

  • Aaron Souppouris, Engadget –

"Obviously, this game is getting my highest recommendation, and I expect to see it on a few end of year lists"

  • Pockettactics

********** Sir Postal Dude joins the quarrel at your request **********

Ladies, Gentlemen and Unattended Psychopaths,

We finally know who’s responsible for the murder by the lake – it’s The Postal Dude himself, a very naughty gentleman visiting us from a series of games you claim you didn’t play. But we know you did, knowing how many of you asked for this character, you sick nincompoops! So there you go, at your special request: enjoy the company of a disturbing guest star, featuring the original voice of Rick Hunter! That is, if you can figure out how to unlock him …

And if you hadn’t had enough of weird characters saying absurd and unpleasant things, check out the new game in the series: Oh…Sir! The Hollywood Roast. It has a brand new cast of movie-inspired characters, which will be getting even bigger with upcoming updates!

Yours truly
Vile Monarch

PS
Huge thanks to the friendly gentlemen at Running With Scissors for letting use The Postal Dude and helping us with the recording.

Hear from the Players – Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator:

We love the Monty Python references as well.

We watched many people play this on YouTube, and we decided to play it for myself. It was awesome! This game might cost two dollars, but its still cheap and definitely worth the money! We just started today and we can already tell we love this game. We would recommend!

This game is so funny and whenever we get bored we whip out this and play til our phone dies! :)

This conversion admires pictures of your mother you commoner! -Sir knight Also the game is good.

We watched Jacksepticeye play this in his series and we loved the game immediately. When we saw it on the App Store, we bought it as fast as we could. We’ve only played it a little bit, but have loved it for the short time that we’ve had it.

We dont know how to unlock the other things in the game, but we still love it!

We love this game and it is our favorite game we have ever played and we have played a lot of games. But we did have to annoy the heck of of our mom and she almost didnt let us get it because she thought that it was a bad game but we think it is worth the money. But personally we think that the other game called the Hollywood roast is better because it is funnier then the insult sim but thats just our opinion. Overall they are both good games.

This game. THIS GAME. Seeing it catches our freaking attention. We just… LOVE IT. Even though you need to pay to play this game, we FREAKING LOVE IT. Its funny, we tell ya. The lines are funny, the characters are funny, and oh our gosh, the Afterlife you made is funny! Ill keep this as a treasured game! Thank you so much!

This game is great. The insults are hilarious or ridiculous, and the controls work well. The only problem we have with this is that multiplayer just doesnt work. We played with someone one time, and now, no matter how long we wait, there is no one available. That makes serious Sam and that other guy impossible to unlock! Thats not fair. Ill rate 4 stars because this game is addictive, but Ill only rate 5 if multiplayer is fixed. Also, we wish there was DLC for the game so that you could get more characters or maps. Thanks!

The game is fun and enjoyable enough, we pull it out at school or in the car and can play it offline. We typically play against the CPU and its funny hearing their pronunciations in the resulting insults. It can be obnoxious when you form legitimate sentences and insults but receive less points when your opponents make little to no sense 9 times out of 10. They dont seem to put too much effort into the actual forming of the sentence, just combining as much stuff as possible regardless of how moronic or intelligent it may sound in the end. This in now way ruins the game by any means, its still fun enough, just dont take it too seriously.

Hello! We downloaded this game after watching a YouTuber play it, and we do enjoy it. There is a major glitch though. The online player is wrong. It is meant to be local player. You have to be on the same network. It would be incredibly helpful (and amazing) if they fixed this glitch. Overall we love playing it, however that one glitch puts a stick in our plans to play with our bf. We do recommend, however they do need to fix this glitch.

The game itself is fun, but translates poorly to a small phone touchscreen. Word choices are tiny and all crammed together. Pair this wit a shirt turn timer, and you get frequent mistakes.

This is an awesome and hilarious game but multiplayer seems to be broken… Every time we try to use the multiplayer option no one else joins the game no matter how long we wait. We’ve played this game when it had multiplayer and it was very enjoyable so when its fixed Ill rate 5 stars! Thank you!

At first we thought this game was kid friendly but is actually inappropriate.

Limited amount of insults people and levels gets boring quickly Id like our money back.

Forced to update last time we opened the app and now there is no audio. Cant get it back. Please fix this.

Lol. This game makes us laugh just by the things you can say. We would 100% Recommend this to anybody! We would guarantee people with a good sense of humor would laugh. So just get it.. It’s worth the money.

After a while we finally get a new character that looks like he belongs in Supernatural. Howard definitely adds variety to the different characteristics in the roster. But the main focus now is the new game hollywood roast. Our favorite new feature so far is the character workshop. So we’ll be waiting to play the new game!

It’s a game worth getting no doubt. Love love love it. Keeps us busy and laughing. THIS GAME IS TOTALLY INSPIRED BY MONTY PYTHON, which is flipping awesome !!!! Good job guys !

THE BUTTONS ARE HARD TO PRESS AND THE LAYOUT IS TERRIBLE AND MAKES ME NAUSEOUS BUT IDK THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME Make the buttons bigger though seriously, it’s so easy to press the wrong insult.

We beat the tournament mode with all the characters but it still will not get us serious Sam can you please fix it?

Can you guys please do an update where we can play with our data because we don’t have a wifi connection.

Such a fun and original approach to a game! Lots of laughs, and some challenge to craft the best insult with the parts available. Online play against random players is the icing on the cake we LOVE this game.

This game is sooooo fun! However, in the middle of an online battle, leaving or even accidentally minimizing the screen (to the center and back) will disconnect you. This causes you to run away. Also, it’s very easy to mis-click something here so be careful, but that’s expected.

This game is fun maybe add more achievments (not like we got them all) we also have a few suggestions for words! I/Me Is/Are Stupid Your Pet Your Brother You Dimwit! You Idiot! So Shut Your Half-wit Piehole! Your Life And maybe add some character!

We don’t have much to say but the game is frickin addicting.

10/10 game is has an overwatch reference.

This is a great game but we want more insults, everything is fine but more insults would be awesome. An example would be like adding "Your Bestfriend" or something like "loves" so it you could make an insult like, "Your best friend loves an English Pig Dog."

It takes long to download but still a great game.

We love it so much, but we do think more insults should be added along with more characters and levels. Keep up the great work!

Insult cpu’s or others online. Lo Wang and Serious Sam are two characters you can unlock by completing tourney mode over and over. Those two are the best characters in the game. Use them online and you’ll most likely win!

Extremely witty and an excellent boredom buster. Fantastic Cast of characters each with their own hysterical personalities and some amazing settings.

It’s good but there should be a lot more secrets and characters. And an adult mode where there’s profanity galore.

We would like if the iPhone version had larger text on the phrase options though. Sometimes we press the one we didn’t want.

It’s a great app but it just needs more areas and characters.

Played the game, unlocked all the characters. So we wanted to play a game with our brother. Only one small problem. The multiplayer doesn’t work at all, we get exited out of the game at complete random times throughout the game!

We were really excited to see that Oh… Sir was released for iOS. We recently purchased it via Steam. This is one of the most unique games we’ve played in a while. The concept is brilliant and makes for a really fun time. The humor can range from mild to downright rude, with the latter being the goal. The only issue is that the selectable text is too small. On our first game, we tapped the wrong words. Unfortunately, this is very easy to do. Devs, please find a way to increase the text size or perhaps have a scrolling menu. Once this is fixed, we’ll rate it five stars! Overall, this is a job well done. IOS editors, pay attention! This is the kind of game that should be put in any kind of ‘New & Noteworthy’ section!

This game is so weird and really funny. Who would ever think of making a game where people throw insults at each other to win a disagreement. We were really stressed out the other day and we played this game. We took our anger out on the CPU xD. We just want to say keep up the good work with any upcoming updates on the game.

In serious sam’s bio you spelled Egypt wrong, and there is some multiplayer bugs, but with aside it’s a great game.

This game is really awesome, but we just wish it had more phrases. Like more conjunctions then just and. Here’s our thoughts, But, or, also, then, so it was, and before. It could also use a John Lennon as the starter word. Another phrase could be worshipped. And finally a beach stage, a old tavern stage, and a breaking into a house stage.

This is a good game but add more to it plz.

It’s great to see an original concept like this, in an otherwise repetitive app store. And it’s a great concept… In theory, at least. Where it falls down is the lack of correlation between the actual quality of the insults and its scoring system. We have a very difficult time predicting what it will consider "rude", for example. It also tries to enforce some degree of correctness in your grammar, but arbitrarily allows some horrific grammar while at other times rejecting plain, correct grammar. But the real crux of the matter is that it just can’t tell what’s actually a stinging or clever insult, vs random gibberish. As such, this ultimately boils down to nothing more than a pattern matching game, with a very marginal amount of extra tactical interest in trying to block your opponent from building their insult, while you build your own. Lastly, though more of a nit-pick, the game is a little too proud of itself with regards to its animations, spending far too long on them when you’re just trying to play.

Why does our character only play unrated games? It takes away the fun of playing online! There should be a way to connect to steam through the app so you can connect to the leaderboard.

It’s fun for a moment, but it’s not long before the material becomes mind-numbingly repetitive. And it’s not so much an ‘insult generator’ as it is a strange run on sentence generator. Because that’s pretty much what you’re doing. More importantly, while the Month Python theme and influence are by no means hidden, assuming that they’ve neither sanctioned nor licensed it, we don’t know how the developers have yet to be visited by the Knights Who Say Cease and Desist.

We love this game. The only problem we have with it is when we’re in a multiplayer match and a notification screen like our battery life comes up, we always "run away" from the match. It’s not far! Also, we tried to play two online matches today and for some reason, we "run away" without even pressing anything. It seriously takes the fun out of it and we’re wonder if there will be fixes in the future, hopefully.

They have got the worst multiplayer we have ever seen,I am serious.

Nothing to do no fun at all….

Arguments don’t make sense, text is way too small to be legible.
