Ive played this game more consistently than any other Ive tried, probably ever. Relaxing, aesthetically pleasing, and enough complexity to keep you entertained. We prefer the sandbox mode, creating beautiful little self sustaining communities. We wish the developers would add more crops, maybe watermelons, some grape vines and a winery. An apiary producing honey would be nice. Also flowerbeds. It would be interesting to see shops/restaurants that are conglomerates of the available resources. Like bakeries being able to make pies from fruit. Im sure livestock is too much to ask. Love the game! Excited to see it progress further.

Ive been playing nonstop since Ive downloaded the game. Its a great strategy game which makes you the leader of a village. You have goals you need to achieve, on top keeping your villagers happy and alive. We only wish there was a better tutorial. There was a lot of mistakes we made that we resolved via Google search. Would have liked an in depth tutorial option to understand all the features. We also wish there was a way to move buildings instead of having to recycle them and rebuild another one. Other than that, a great way to pass time.
Outlanders graphics are simple but beautiful, and the gameplay seems basic at first but quickly grows more complex with each level. If youre just downloading, get those creative juices flowing! The instructions are vague by design, so you have to solve their riddle to beat each level. Cant wait for the next update.

Ever since Ive had an Apple Arcade subscription this has easily been our number one game. We sit on the edge of our seat waiting for each update with new maps and objectives to explore. The magic in this game that sets it apart from other town builders is its brilliant intricacies. Every action your villagers complete are so detailed that we can sit and watch one villager go through their day completing their tasks. The strategy to the game is very engaging. The game rarely gets stale! If we had one complaint, it would be that the only real threat in the game is starvation and time management. We would love to see some sort of warrior element, or perhaps hunting added to the game. The overall tone is peaceful which, dont get us wrong, is not a terrible thing- but it would be cool to see more external threats to your village. Hats off to the developers. Keep up the beautiful work.

This is by far our favorite apple arcade game. The instructions can be unclear at times, but its not too hard to figure out the basics. Our only complaint would be that the bakery makes bread WAY too slowly. Besides that we love everything about this game.

Ive been playing this game for hours now. We started with the storymode but decided to see how well we did in sandbox mode (get to make your own town with no missions) and boy am we in love! We thought it was gonna be creative mode or something but its even better! You get to do what you do in storymode but without the missions, once your population starts to grow you periodically get diff interests like beauty and culture which youll have to build extra things to please your townsfolk. We really dont have anything negative to say so Ill just jump into some recommendations. 1) Animals. We really think our townsfolk will benefit from horses or donkeys a lot. Sometimes they have to walk longer to pick up wood from various areas and a horse/donkey could facilitate that for them. Ofc youd have to have a stable for them and youd have to use the wheats and some veggies to feed them. You could also add pigs, chickens, sheep and all kinds of animals to add more food sources, maybe even add a breading stable to keep the animal resource up. 2) Longer days. The days just go by so quickly sometimes we feel like our workers barely get anything done! Maybe its because Im always on fast forward but it feels too fast, maybe even faster than night being sped up x20. 3) Working leader. Ngl this one is just personal but seeing the leader walk around and do nothing bothers us. Maybe give him a job that will benefit the townsfolk instead of him doing nothing. Maybe even add different leaders and each one of them has a bonus they add to their town, and with that bonus comes a specialty where they will only work in a specific place. For example, lets say theres a leader who adds a food bonus, well his specialty could be working in the bakery! These are just ideas but it would make the game more fun! Its already fun but yk a lil more fun wont hurt anybody ;).
Ive been waiting like 4 months for an update with more levels, when can we get that.
We love this game, so addicting. It is what Ive been looking for for a looong time. One request, can you make it optional to have a time deadline for each challenge? We play games to help our anxiety and the time deadline has the opposite effect.
We love this game. The instructions are actually very clear so we dont understand the confused comments lol. This is our relaxation game, and its so much fun to play. We currently have both check marks on all of the levels, patiently waiting for more. Also it would be cool if you guys expanded and made a city version of this game, or like a medieval version. Or adding animals and stables to this game. We dont know but we love this game and would love to play more versions of it.
Id give this game a million stars if we could, honestly. We love it. Its just the right amounts of everything we look for in games such as this. Our one and only suggestion would be. Make a sandbox option with unlimited land/space. Like, we wanna grow our personal town to be huge, but lack of space/usable space to grow in makes it impossible. Its not needed in the levels because obviously that would defeat the purpose of a challenge, but adding a sandbox feature with an option for unlimited land/space would be the cherry on top of an already awesome game.

This is hands down the best game available on Apple Arcade, and possibly one of the best available on iOS overall. We love every second of it, and we eagerly await every update. Please play it. You wont be disappointed.

We LOVE this game but we need more levels. We have beat all the levels & even went back through for the optional ones. We have a few saves on sandbox but we need more, please.
We love this game and have played it through several times. The second time, we tried to hit every optional objective to make the game even harder. We love that you can restart levels when you realize you mess up so you dont have to play through the rest of it, especially when its a level where you get 100 days to achieve a goal. We also love that you dont need an internet connection to play the game (its been a great distraction on plane rides.) Ive been waiting and waiting for more levels and we really hope they are in the works.
The levels take long but there are not boring, the people you command are complicated to control (in a good way) and many strategies can be used to better take advantage of diff amounts of people. There are many levels and a open sandbox mode. This games great for those who desire a leadership role. The levels are like puzzles honestly, and very fun to play. There are minimal bugs. We will say- anyone under the age of 10? Should not play. Not because it is inappropriate or violent but the game might be too complicated and young players might get frustrated and get mad at the game. The game requires some intelligence, but is also relaxing. This is all we have to say.
From the very beginning this game intrigued us and had ALL the right things. Its been a few days and im still addicted. Its a game we can stay on for hours if we wanted to. It presents new challenges and keeps us on our toes but at the same time is really satisfying when you accomplish your goals. Our one critique is that there were a couple times we were confused bc the tutorial wasnt clear about a few things and that was pretty frustrating when we were starting to figure out the game. And its surprisingly hard to keep people fed even when your population is relatively small. But like we mentioned before, it presents its challenges. The creators deserve all the credit because this game is THE game. Five stars.

So we pretty much have a 500 day game in sandbox, havent really bothered with the story to much. But where we have played in the realm outlanders, Ive run down to our last 40 stone and am in desperate need of more. We understand that stone is a finite resource amongst our small island with a few lakes but we must develop our village further onward as youve added new buildings that require stone. First thought we had was to add a deep quarry as you already have the basic one for above ground chunks. The second and less on brand idea was to obtain it through a plant or tree (stone plant, stone tree). Love the game, hope you are able to continue development in coming times.
This game scratches an itch we never knew we had. Ive played sandbox mode for probably hundreds of hours at this point, just building towns over and over and over. Whenever an update hits we plough through all the new levels and reach all the goals. The devs are super dedicated and communicate with their fans on discord. This game alone is worth more than the price of Apple Arcade. As long as this game is available we will stay subscribed.
After learning the right ways to grow the colony it is very fun, we stopped playing because we reached 282 people and had no more room to build. Great game.
This is a really fun little game. Just challenging enough to keep you interested for hours.
We absolutely love this game and have played all the levels already. We actually went back and started playing them again. We also played the sandbox mode, built and entire town and have the entire island filled to max capacity without our people dying or being unhappy. We need more levels ASAP please.

Look. We absolutely love this game. We feel like its the game Ive always been searching for but could never find. We bought Apple Arcade just for this one game. Im being serious we dont play anything else on Apple Arcade except for Outlanders. Im currently on level 23 and waiting for more levels. But seriously this game is worth it. Soooo much fun.

Can someone plz tell us the way to beat level 15(400guys around the campfire)? We have tried at least 3 rounds and nearly give up. Good experience for the previous 14 villages by the way.

We play this game on our daily train ride to work! We love coming up with our own mini challenges and constraints to play around! Im having a problem with lost data! Never happens before the recent update adding all the new buildings and content. Almost every time we play, we lose a few in game days of work from our previous play session. A dedicated save button would solve this real fast! Gonna send an email to support about it, Ive seen a few folks report the same issue.
Every time there's an update with new content we literally buy Apple Arcade for a month just so we can play this game. But we end up deleting it because we get addicted and play it nonstop for a couple days until we have thoroughly played all the new features and decide we should probably see the sunlight or our friends. In other words, 10/10 recommend and we cannot wait for more updates. AMAZING GAME.
Ive been playing it for a while and im addicted we would love to see more of these types of games in apple arcade its our favorite type of genre.
We were straight up addicted, playing this game in every spare moment we had. Our fianc was really annoyed. But now we've unlocked every achievement and beat every level. Sandbox just isn't the same. So now we're on to the next game. Any suggestions.

We can't stop playing this game we're quite literally obsessed with it. We were super upset finding out online that lvl 15 had some issues but was happy to find out that reaching out to support they can help you skip the level by sending a link and they reply pretty quickly! Highly recommend this game.
Ive once again completed the new levels and have come here to sing our praisesso there will hopefully be more levels. We seriously love this game. We maybe have an addiction. We spend our break, our evening, and our night playing it at times. It does wonders to relax our mind. We highly recommend you download.
Ive played through all the levels 3 times now, am currently on our fourth. We simply love Outlanders, its a magical game for us that is just fun. If you like this style of game, spend some time learning how it all works, and then simply enjoy. Note that the tutorial is good to get you going, but isnt meant to be all-including learning, you really learn as you go.
We loved this game. No pressure to buy upgrades. Enough story to give you a reason to play. Challenges were reasonable with an optional increase in difficulty. We want more levels to play.
This game is an absolute joy to play. We love all the levels, all the new updates, and the challenging levels are definitely amazing. Would love to see more frequent (smaller) updates to levels and buildings etc. Instead of waiting 9 months for a (huge) update, although it was glorious! One of the absolute best things about this game is that it has no violence, almost all world-building games have invasions and armies and its just unnecessary. This game has even more intelligent challenges to get through without any ridiculous violent additions. Some more ideas: – Fishing – Textiles/ clothing factories – Perhaps having families – More food types like tofu, avocado, chocolate, coffee, dairy etc The sandbox mode needs a few improvements we think: – Allow us to choose maps from levels as well. – Allow white house colors like the levels. – Allow us to make our own challenge prompts in sandbox like build 80 houses or bake 200 breads etc. – Allow us to choose the leaders we want.
We love this game. It has some bugs that you can get frustrated with but can be gotten around with. There is a slight learning curve but overall the game is great! Im addicted and cant wait for the next level.
