We started playing this game years ago when it was free. Then we paid for the full version and didnt have to deal with ads. We recently started playing again after years of not even opening this app, and to our surprise we find that there is no more free version. You are required to buy it now, and theres ads. Dont buy this if you hate ads. We think its a turn off for many if they dont get a chance to even try it for free before deciding that they want it or not.
You buy this game and its so full of adds that you cant enjoy it. We paid for the ad free version and that was not honored. Dont pay for this.
Paid 2 bucks for this app, tried to play but apparently theres no pirates around us to even play and theres not even an option to play against a computer. By far the stupidest app we’ve ever downloaded. If we could give this app zero stars we would.
WHY DID we WASTE MONEY FOR NO ADS JUST TO GET ADS.
We too am so disappointed about paying for NO ADS and since they sold this game its went from a 10 to a -5.
They have ruined this game for all iOS players, said they couldnt afford server fees so they added TONS of annoying ads!! Why didnt it change for android users?? Makes no sense, this for years was our all time favorite until now, we still run the old version on our iPad Pro otherwise we would have deleted this game! Shame on you Ralph Hesse! If we could give this game a zero star we would.
Might have to dump this once favored game. So sad they had to ruin it.
Paid for premium version to remove advertisements, then the game owner decides to push lame ads to everyone, no matter if you paid or not. Dont waste your time or money.
Ads have pirated this game and stolen away its once 5 star quality.
We thought that upgrading to + would get rid of the ads. Sadly the paid version still has tons of very irritating ads.
We love this game but we’re rating it one star until they fix the notifications now that we see we’re not the only one with the issue.
Is a very fun game to play we like a lot but have a little problems, we have the iPhone 5s and we cannot get the alerts from this game it doesn’t matter what we do we don’t get the alerts can you guys fix this? For the rest we love the game is very very fun…! We recommend…

Lost all points twice, also no record of people that we have played in the past. What a waste!
Company deleted all scores and friends lists with practically no warning. We will never buy or play a game from vukee again.
This game use to be awesome. We quit playing for a while and when we came back we found our (paid) version full of bugs. It wouldn’t let us sign in via email even though it recognized it as a registered user and didn’t even give us the chance to put our password in. It basically forced us to sign in with Facebook which we hate doing and then it had no opponents available. We paid $ for this game and we’re rather upset with it at the moment. It also reduced the amount of avatars to choose. We don’t like PirateFleet2. We prefer the regular one but it’s out of commission and we want our $ back.
Like everyone else we can’t get alerts or notifications. We’ve deleted the app and reloaded it, we’ve got the iPad Air and thought maybe it would work, but it didn’t, we have the iPhone 6 plus and it doesn’t work on it either. Fix it and we’ll be glad to give it a 5 star.
We see this game hasn’t been updated in over a year. Is it being left to die on the vine now?

It’s a great game. Brought us back to the battleship board game when we were a child. Now it’s even better that we can carry it around in our pocket and play it anytime.

This game is lots of fun. Only thing we would like better is if you could play multiple games with the same opponent.
There is nothing like getting down to one hit left on the last ship, one canon ball left, 3 choices and you luck out and pick the right one, sending your adversary down to Davey Jones’ locker. Take that, wife!

This is an great game. We love playing it.
We have played this app for quite a few months and really enjoy it.
First, the good… It’s a lot of fun, and quite addictive. The occasional Arr, and Yes, cap’n is funny. (Reminds us of old Warcraft). Here’s why it gets old… The animation (bombing) sequence is too slow. It should be sped up or there should be a way to disable. The push notification sound is loud seagull chatter. We think game continuity is stunted due to a requirement for most people to have to disable the sound so as to avoid random squawking at work. Honestly, it’s annoying at home too. A ship’s bell would probably be a little more innocuous. Parrot kind of gets in the way. Should probably slide in and out on its own without requiring intervention. Overall decent game, but it does kind of wear us down after a while.
Our family of three sit in the living room and we have a match with each person going at the same time. Unfortunately, we do not always have a lot of time to play. The game will deactivate our account too quickly.
We had been playing for a year and then decided to deactivate our Facebook account. The app kept saying we had to log in via FB. We email customer support and they said they would fix it. We worked with them implementing all their suggestions however none of them worked. Although we paid for the app we still can’t play. Their customer support is awful they have no clue what they’re doing!
Game is fun but have had some issues logging in.
