Best game ever. We wish we had more daily free games. The packages are very expensive.
This is the only game that stays on our iPad. Other games come and go, but this one remains our favorite. Do not like the change that you have to pay for more than 2 tries, frustrating if you are out of town and miss some days.
Im a big fan of Picross on the Switch, but we wanted to find an alternative for iPad. Pixelogic is the best Picross-like app Ive found, with a no-nonsense interface and lots of pixel art puzzles. There are a few features that Id love to see added: The ability to toggle tools by double-tapping Apple Pencil A third tool for marking spaces temporarily (the Diamond shape in Picross) An undo Custom pixel color (Id pick black) Ghosted numbers for completed rows (the gray background alone doesnt feel very noticeable to us) Disable Game Center Disable Bolts.
We love the consistency of this app. A new game every single day since 2009 and maybe even earlier. And now 2 new puzzles daily. We always look forward to a new puzzle and love the addition of the harder weekly puzzles for a very nominal (and well worth it) extra fee. It's also frequently being updated with improvements you didn't even know you wanted, because it's already perfect. Perfect, no drama, great logic puzzles.
We love all the changes you have made and we really enjoy solving the puzzles every day (although we do have to guess sometimes). But the Game Center pop-ups are very annoying & yes we do have the notifications turned off. But here's a tip for our fellow haters: logging in to Game Center produces a less intrusive message than the one telling you to log in.
Hi we are interested in playing this game but we dont even know how to play the beginner puzzles. Could you add a tutorial function? Thank you.
So deleting app that we used to like. We hate Game Center; our pet peeve. If you like Game Center throw a party and celebrate. We dont and couldnt find a way to stop the annoying pop up.
This is our favorite online game!! We wish it had more than 2 free games a day-like it used to.
This is the best nonogram style puzzle out there by far! We have tried them all but none even come close to how enjoyable Pixelogic is! You can tell the creator, Joel, actually cares about his app and the people that use it.

It took us 8 years to post this. We finally just finished every single puzzle as of today. We regret nothing. This is the best nonogram app hands down.
This is a mind game with numbers and spacial relationships. As a former engineer we find it a pleasant daily pastime.
Ive played this game for years and have always enjoyed it. Sadly we recently clicked to play the game after taking a break from it to find that the game has become more pay to play. We used to love the daily challenges and scrolling through to find days we hadnt been able to complete yet. We could spend hours doing so but now the game makes you pay to play these puzzles.
While we like the new update, we are only giving the app 3 stars because now we have to pay for it and the new version wont restore our history. We dont mind paying because we love this game but want our history and extra guesses we paid for back. Fix those issues and we will give this 5 stars.
Ive loved this game for longer than we can remember, but ever since the new 2 free games a day rule ive been put off and frustrated. Please take it back.
Love playing this game daily, have had installed for over a year but unfortunately the creators got greedy and decided to limit playing to only 2 puzzles a day.
The new 2 games per day limit is rediculous. We paid to get free daily puzzles and the ability to play past puzzles with no limits. We understand charging for the new mini collection or limiting the number of plays for those since we werent promised that when we payed but we should continue to have unlimited play of the daily puzzles including past puzzles even after the start of the new plan since that is what you sold us that is what we paid for. Ps Thank you for quickly fixing the bug in the version that kept the app from opening :-).
We have played this game for years and now starting 1/1/24 we have to pay to play the 20×20 daily puzzles. We rarely can solve them in 2 tries and that is all Ill get per day starting in 2024. This means we wont be able to stay caught up and play until we solve it each day.
We have played Pixel Logic for years now. While we have deleted many games over the years, this has always been the first game we install on a new device. Hard enough to be challenging (and we have done paper ones of these for 30 years) but never impossible. It is also one game that we are willing to spend real money on.
This has been our favorite pastime game for over 5 years. Its so underrated, yet such a masterpiece of a game.
We used to enjoy this game. We paid for last years puzzles, purchasing the right to play them. However, the app updated and took away the games Id already purchased. Now they want a subscription amount to play monthly or yearly, and they did not refund what Id already spent. Scam! Was a fun game, but now we can only play each puzzle on the day it is released.
Problems caused by the recent update persist. Previously-purchased games are available, but there is no way from the menu to tell which games you have purchased. So you select one and only after drilling down several layers do you get a message that you cant play that one without buying it. Annoying. Im not a fan of the bright green. The finished puzzles looked better with the pre-update coloring and it was more relaxing to play. Maybe make an option for color.
We REALLY appreciate the ability to save progress on puzzles. Fantastic addition to the game Ive enjoyed for quite a while.
We like this so much. We wish we could play all the back game like we used to. Now we only have two games a day.
We have been doing this puzzle every day since it first came out in 2009! It is a great brain exercise to get the day started. It is often challenging and always fun! And no ads! And, if something is aawry (which is rare), the app support is outstanding, usually responsive to concerns of any sort within an hour or two. We love this game! And so will you.
We have been playing this game for years now and its the only one thats stayed on every phone Ive had. The daily and weekly games are creative. Its truly relaxing yet complicated enough to not be boring. We had always hoped for different colors so Im excited for the new updates! Keep up the great work joel.
This app has been our daily puzzle for many years. The app is no hassle and the pixel puzzles themselves have been of consistent high quality. So glad to see the app getting a facelift and the return of the large Sunday weekly puzzle is a treat.
This has been one of our favorite games for a long while and Ive spent a lot of time completing all the main sizes as well as old daily puzzles. The recent updates have been fantastic and the developer has been super responsive to our questions and suggestions.
We have been playing this game for years. Every once in awhile we check out other Pixel Games and they are always inferior. We look forward to playing the updated version.
If you're a fan of picross or any quick puzzles, this is the game you want to get. Hands-down the best user interface, plenty of content, developer has been adding new puzzles and supporting the game for years. We play this everyday.
The new app refresh has ruined this game for us. It used to be relaxing and enjoyable and now is just frustrating. We find ourselves accidentally getting mistakes because the toggle tool does not toggle when we hit. Even after the update to make it more responsive, it still often doesnt respond, causing accidental mistakes. Also it doesnt swipe smoothly between quadrants when zoomed in anymore. We end up having to zoom out then choose the quadrant we want now. Sometimes things are fine the way they are and dont need to be new and fresh and updated. We miss the old version.
Its been so much fun all these years. Seems like fun is over now. Bye bye Pixelogic. But if we had to give stars, this is definitely a 5 star fun puzzle game. Kudos to the developer. Adios.
We have to give the developer a LOT of credit here. They got a lot of firey feedback with the new release and they digested all of it and came up with a quick update that has a least addressed all of our issues. The game is back to being fun. Way to bounce back! Previous review: The latest update just about destroyed this game. It used to be fun. But now it is so laggy that it is almost unplayable.
We like being able to see the last five puzzles and the percentage of previous years puzzles. We dont like that the puzzle board doesnt change colors from blue to gray when entering a live square vs an X as it used to. The green square isnt enough, would love to see the color added back in.
Thank you for fixing the problems with the new update. Im back to loving this APP and play it every day.
The jitteriness is gone so this issue seems to have been fixed. We are giving this four stars instead of five because we believe that the most valuable enhancements could have been done with a less drastic change to the user interface.
The board is too small on the latest update. We have iPhone 12 and its really frustrating. Appreciate your answering everyones reviews. Ive played for years but really dont want to if it stays this way.
Itd be even better if you could adjust the background brightness.
After years of enjoyment of the daily puzzle, the latest update is jarring. We use an iPad and the changes make play more difficult rather than easier. In the older version when switching between positive and negative squares, the title bar would turn blue or grey depending on which mode you were using. Now there is no visual difference on the board without looking at the change button so it is easy to try to touch the button but not notice if it has actually changed. Also the red mistake squares are now a faint pink rather than a bright pink so it is less clear how many there are at a glance. Changing the look is not always necessary to stay current, and if possible being able to revert to the classic style would be greatly appreciated.
Ive played for years. The new design is terrible. It is much worse on the iPad. The whole puzzle is smaller. The graphics are horrendous. One cannot download puzzles to do on a journey without wifi. The images of completed puzzles remove any pleasure in redoing them. Please provide the option to return to the classic design. Then we can keep using it – otherwise we will delete the whole thing. Why take something so good and ruin it? Lots of others have this game but this used to be the best and most elegant. Now its a mess.
We rarely leave reviews but ive loved this app since we were a freshman in hs so maybe about 10 years now but this update and redesign is terrible because of how small the boards are now. They were already small to begin with but manageable but now its really too small.
The motion of the board is too sensitive when switching between sections. Switching sections and laying squares used to feel very smooth, now its clunky. Switching between marking squares and flagging them as not of interest has for some reason become much more difficult. Please go back to how it used to be.
We really enjoyed this game for years. The new update ruined it. The picture is too small, so we make mistakes because we hit more than one square at a time. The whole look is different and uninviting. We wont be playing it anymore unless it changes back to what it was like before. Disappointed.
The new update makes it harder to play. The visible are on a 20×20 is way too small on zoom mode. Also you cant easily mark multiple squares by sliding anymore. Wish we could revert back.
For years the old daily puzzles were free, but the update puts a paywall in front of them. We can see the old dailies we did, but new dailies prompt us to pay them money. (On another device, we didnt update the app so we still have access to all the free puzzles there) Sorry, charging money for prior free content is no way to entice new customers! Your app is not so good and your puzzles so unique (dont get us started on how many variations of a tree or a heart there are in the dailies) that we would pay just to unlock access to content that used to be free.
Used to love this game, but new update has too much going on. Wish they stuck with the simpler style.
Ive been plying this game everyday for months on our iPad. With this new update the board is relegated in half the screen where before in zoom mode it took up the majority of the screen. It lost the fun factor, and we wont be playing it anymore.
This app has been a favorite of ours for about 6 years. This recent update makes us want to never use it again and not because its bad, its just not for us anymore. The entire look of the app just doesnt give what it used to. The zoom in/out is unappealing, the layout of the puzzles is smallerits a rather jarring change from the original which has been consistent for years now with no major changes. The look is just not there, the appeal isnt there. Even with all the puzzles Id previously unlocked having migrated over to this new version, we still just dont want to play anymore. Nothing has changed in terms of how the puzzles are solvedits just that for us, the app was relaxing and now its just stressful to use. We appreciate the efforts of the developers over the years and Im sure this new look will bring about more users who can fully appreciate this new direction. We personally just prefer the old, simpler version of this app and because its such a task now, we know we wont be using the app any longer. The end of an era :(.
Ive been playing this for YEARS and it was great. We just updated to the new version and Im not a fan. The animations are awkward, it is more difficult to see, and the controls have been relocated and are harder to reach. We understand that things change and that updates had to be made, but we hope these things are taken into consideration as refinements are made.
We were 4 puzzles away from completing all past puzzles. And yes, we had the upgraded version. Now with version 5 we need to pay a monthly subscription to complete those last 4. We wont bother.
