A Glimpse into Project Blue Book: The Game

Search for clues and investigate real declassified UFO cases to find the truth!

Project Blue Book The Game: Hidden Mysteries is the official, free-to-play, hidden object adventure game based on HISTORY’s hit drama series PROJECT BLUE BOOK, created by David O’Leary, and executive produced by Academy Award and Golden Globe® winner Robert Zemeckis. The series explores the historical, Top Secret investigations into UFOs conducted by the U.S. Air Force between 1952 and 1969.

In Project Blue Book The Game: Hidden Mysteries, you will start off as a newly recruited agent in Project Blue Book during the 1950s, under the guidance of the show’s lead investigators, Dr. J. Allen Hynek (played by Aidan Gillen from “Game Of Thrones”), and Captain Michael Quinn (played by Michael Malarkey from “The Vampire Diaries”), and begin to investigate real declassified UFO investigations to find the truth!

Hundreds of puzzles, witness interviews and hidden object scenes will challenge your observation and deduction tactics as you investigate alongside your favorite characters into many of the cases you loved from the series, uncover exclusive new content, and explore new cases that can only be found in the game! The game’s story is written by bestselling science-fiction writer and award-winning game writer Steven-Elliot Altman, best known for similar social games like PEARL’S PERIL and ANCIENT ALIENS.

We’re here to find the truth! So, come help us investigate flying saucers along with Dr. Hynek in the world’s first Unidentified Flying (Hidden) Object Game!

The game is great we finished the 103 in the story it wondering when the 4 storyline will be added we cant wait to finish the game.

Great game however we cant load level 6, it just stops loading the graphics, the background music plays but it wont finish loading the level. Have sent a message through the in game help section but get no reply. It would be nice if whoever monitors this game to get off their thumbs and fix this problem. If they would fix it we would give the game a higher rating.

We get to scene 6 and it wont load and we cant skip it. We really liked the game until we got to this problem. Fix it and Ill give u 5 stars.

We love the show we’ve watched both seasons & we love the game but the reason we’ve gave it 3 stars is bcuz ever since the update whenever we start on chapter 6 we hit play & it loads to the loading screen & we press the skip button but it wont ever load!!! So freaking aggravating!!!! Fix this & Ill gladly give it a 5 star rating!

Enjoy the game but keeps freezing up past level 4. It wont load. Had a hard time to load level 3 & 4. Ill give it a 5 star review when the bugs get worked out.

We get to play the intro. Then the games gets to 40%. It just gets stuck. Deleted and downloaded again. No change.

Earlier versions had a few issues, but as far as we can tell they’ve been corrected. The addition of daily quests lets you earn more coins for buying things with, and the ability to play the various mini-games on demand is a welcome improvement. The core of the game is still the hidden object challenges, and having the scoreboard for each scene encourages you to keep trying to beat your previous best score and climb to a higher ranking, but if you get tired of hunting for hidden objects then you can play one or more of the mini-games.

Wonderful game based on an amazing show. However, at the moment it is far too buggy to merit a 5 star rating. Some of the bugs are small like getting promoted to Master Sergeant, but the rank picture is a blank white rectangle instead of the appropriate rank graphic. Some are more frustrating like buying packs of cards, but having the game crash before the cards open and AFTER the coins are spent. The most troubling bugs involve completion progress; finish every part of a level, all stars, all missions, only to have it say 90% COMPLETE. It will highlight NEW mission objectives at the end of a case as though it has not been completed. We suspect they are simple fixes, and none are truly game-breaking, they are simply aggravating. You fail to feel that sense of completion, of satisfaction in beating a case. We also notice that the game is not entirely intuitive. For example, they have included a high score system for each stage. The problem is that we have no idea how to SEE those high scores without having to play through a level first. Silver coins accrue but we dont know what purpose they serve. Portions of the game are locked until further updates so perhaps the silver/copper currencies are going to have more utility in the future, but until then it is difficult to feel compelled to work towards 100% completion when you dont know what you are earning, nor will the game triggers actually allow a 100% completion at the moment. On the bright side it is free and we have beaten all available stages without spending a single real penny. It stays surprisingly true to the episodes and as a former Air Police (security forces) we love the addition of gate guards and AP members in the background of one of the cases. It gives you a good companion to the show if you are already a fan, but as far as hidden object puzzle games go it is on par with the rest. You will probably give it a satisfactory 3/5 if you dont watch the show, but in its current state it is definitely worthy of a solid 4/5 for Project Blue Book (ProBB) fans. As soon as the game gets some solid updates in the future we will eagerly add that 5th star. Thanks for reading and keep watching the skies.

This is a great game and addition if you are into the show. We think it would be fun regardless but it really adds to the fun if youre a fan of PBB. We enjoy how they intertwined the game with the show.

This game is just amazing, it takes us back to season one of the series. The puzzles are amazing and really make you think. Im looking forward to playing more of the game when it unlocks. If you love the television series you will love this game. Im a huge fan of the series and Im a huge fan of the game. You have to play this game. Now we will say during our play through so far we’ve noticed some bugs/glitches happen but any game will have those minor issues and they didnt last long so dont worry too much about it.

We loved the game great story telling we felt we were part of the show When will the next case be released?

Project Blue Book is, at its core, a hidden object game, but it is very successful at connecting the items in each level to the story elements and weaving in a lot of dialog, clues and other mini games. The visuals are beautiful and its all cohesive so you feel like you are in that late 1940s to early 1950s era, and its reinforced all over the game. We havent gotten that far in yet, but we can already see based on the main screen that there are tons of locations and perhaps more game types. There arent many games with Robert Zeneckis name on it and the quality seems much higher than other hidden object games we played.

Great visuals and gameplay – would highly recommend!

Great story lines and visuals. We cant stop playing.

This game has a Great Story. And we love the mini games!!!!

We dont normally play games like this. But we like the show. And we were particularly impressed with the level of storytelling for this kind of game.
