Puncho Fighto – Action Game Review
Puncho Fighto is a Action/Casual game from Oliver Smith, first launched in 2nd April 2012.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 61+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Puncho Fighto Stand Out
Puncho Fighto is classic 2D fighting reimagined for the touch screen.
Moves are performed by tapping and swiping on the screen. Special moves are two-part swipes; i.e., swiping down and then towards your opponent will perform Zong's fireball. You'll get the hang of it fast – it's a cool alternative to on-screen buttons and it feels natural with a little practice. Check the move lists in the help menu for details.
Although it's not as sophisticated as some modern fighting games, Puncho was made with love and is unique enough to keep you interested for a while.
There are three gameplay modes:

Story mode – a single-player battle versus 5 opponents with 5 AI difficulty levels

Two-player mode – play against a friend on the same device using split-screen (works best on iPad)

Online mode – use game center to play against anyone in the world
Note: The character story lines will probably never be finished – sorry!
Note 2: Online multiplayer works well on a fast connection but should be considered in beta otherwise.
Note 3: The game now uses analytics to track a small amount of anonymous data – basically just so I can tell how many people are playing.

This game is a staple of our childhood, we used to play this game with our friends in the school bus but super sorry to see we never got any updates.
We really like the controls where you make a line any way you want and the characters can do all sorts of moves and LOVE the modes. We really think this truly is a great game :).

Creative controls, really smooth animation even on our slow old phone, fun sound and graphics. Good stuff.

This game is childish but we don't agree that it is an awful game. We find it quite amusing. The gameplay mechanics are good. It doesn't deserve a one star.
We love the characters, and the story lines are so witty and silly. Hope they update soon, can't wait to meet the newest characters.
Puncho fighto is our favorite game we play it every day when we showed our brother he became obsessed with it and we don't blame him cause we are to.try the game fools it's the best.
We just love it, its a great app. But it can be awesome if you give special powers to the fighters or transformations anyway its awesome this app theres something that we dont like and its that we bought this app and now its free thats not really important for us but the problem its that if we want to see our raking in game center we should pay more. Anyway the last update its great and we love play online.
It is fun but hard to play on a iPod or iPhone.
It's pretty good, we love the splitscreen and online option but we agree with the one star review that it's childish but still fun.
Make another game mode where you fight zombie swarms and also make new fighting moves.

Finally an old-faishoned 2d arcade fighter that is awesome it is worth much more than the price.

Fluid swipe gestures for moves rather than buttons, great puppet like physics for character movement, very cool 2D art. Get it.

Wow this game is awesome sauce!!!! It has blocks, grabs, stuns, projectiles, story arcs and so much more. Wow.
This game is really fun to play. The gesture-controlled moves are much more fun and intuitive than "button-mashing". It's difficult enough to be challenging, but not so tough that it's frustrating. We can't wait to see what comes next.
