Real Hitori is a Entertainment/Puzzle/Board game from Luiz Deucher, first launched in 14th April 2015.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 124+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Real Hitori Stand Out

If you enjoy Sudoku you will love Hitori. Unlike Sudoku, all numbers are given in the grid. The objective is to eliminate numbers by filling in the squares such that remaining cells do not contain numbers that appear more than once in either a given row or column.

Filled-in cells cannot be horizontally or vertically adjacent, although they can be diagonally adjacent. The remaining un-filled cells must form a single component connected horizontally and vertically.

Real Hitori is a very elegant game, providing fabulous gameplay experience.

  • Clean board, providing hours of pleasure gameplay;
  • Handmade unique challenging games. All games and categories were designed to fit a 9×9 board without compromising quality and the need of zooming;
  • No locked levels. Play whatever you want whenever you want;
  • Autosave game. You don't need to worry if you don't have much time to play. It will automatically save all unfinished games;
  • Simple menu context. Your game is just a few clicks away;
  • No in app music. You can play while listening your own iPod library;
  • High definition graphics for iPad, iPhone 4/4s/5/6 and iPod Touch;

This Entertainment game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

All thats missing is an undo button.

Really impressed with the quality of the puzzles. Would love to see more logic puzzle apps by the developers.

Fun & intriguing. A new favorite.

We finished all the boards and am on our second time through. We love this game.

We have downloaded Real Kakuro,Soduko and Hitori finding the puzzles to be quite challenging even the easy ones. Hitori is easy to use and the design is pretty too! Hitori and all the realapps are truly worthy of 5 stars.

This didnt have to be so artistically done, but it WAS! And it is beautiful! The puzzles are perfect little gems of Hitori challenges. Couldnt be happier.

We have not had any glitches and enjoy playing this. We find it very relaxing.

This game is so easy to learn, yet provides so many different levels of challenge. We like that we can pause a real challenging o e and come back to it anytime. Great on our iPhone and iPad.

Recently discovered this game, but have been playing Real Kakuro for years. Thank you for this app. We would like an option to remove ads like real Kakuro has.

We love this app but recently the ads have gotten out if hand! They take over the screen mid game about once a minute. Very annoying.

We love Real Hitori but the latest update has messed up the game. It closes right after opening. We had about a minute to play the game and then it started closing. We don't even have a chance to look at the board to analyze our moves. Please fix it!! Update: it seems to be working now. The difference we notice is that it moves very slowly from one listing of puzzles to the next page of puzzle listings. But we were able to finish a puzzle. Yay!! Another update. We spoke too soon. Intermittently it will play ok and other times it closes just after opening.

Would have given this app 5 stars but two things: 1. There's a bug that prevents puzzles 1 and 2 from being completed. We end up with the same solutions and it looks like other people are seeing this also haha 2. After a while, we felt like this game got easy to solve. Like once we solved about 4-5 extremes, it was pretty easy unlike Sudoku or a similar puzzle game.

We would give this 5 stars if it would let us finish the game!!! We want to fill in all the boxes if you don't mind.

We really like this puzzle. We would have given it more stars but, It could use an option to check your progress. There is no way to try different combinations without having to start all over if you get off track.

Fun games. Ads make it a 3 star instead of 5.

Who needs a back-up button? Also there needs to be a check solution. We obviously have something wrong if we get to the end and nothing happens.

We recently got into Hitori and we love it. This game is great and we dont find the ads annoying. The developer touts a simple user interface but why hasnt this translated into the actual gameplay? Why does it take 2 clicks to highlight a tile and another 2 clicks to mark it? Surely if the developer was all about minimizing clicks, the game would use 1 tap to highlight and 1 more to mark it. Please fix and this is easily a 5 Star game.

Ive been really enjoying the puzzles, but find the ads have become incredibly annoying. They used to pop up once a puzzle was done, but now it seems that this rocket mortgage ad is appearing multiple times per puzzle, feeling like its as frequent as every minute or so. We enjoy the puzzles but find ourselves getting so frustrated by the ads we stop using it.

Liked this app but theres no option to skip long ads between games. Would have paid to turn the off.

We're a fan of Deucher's "Real" apps and love Real Sudoku. This app has a similar feel, but has two unfortunate flaws causing us to uninstall it from our iPhone 6S. First, there is no paid version to get rid of the advertisements. The ads are displayed not just when finishing a game, but during the game. Second, the app consumes an unacceptable amount of power. When playing the game, our phone gets plenty warm. And in looking at the battery consumption per app for a day, Real Hitori consumed 73% of the juice. We had to connect the phone to a charger twice during the day to address the battery power dropping below 20%. Real Kakuro does not consume power like this. We suspect the problem is from displaying all those advertisements.

We play games to escape, not to be spammed with propaganda & the fracture of our country. Guilting & shaming women over & over & over will inevitably get you and your apps boycotted & cancelled. Women are at least half of your customers.

There is an error in this puzzle. If you follow the rules one of the numbers is completely isolated.

We cannot tell you how much we enjoy figuring out moves several steps ahead while doing the more difficult puzzles and being released from our mental purgatory with the incredible ads! We say, make the ads more frequent. One minute breaks of puzzling in the middle of ads is too long. Heck, just make it all ads so we never have to use precious brain power to solve puzzles.

This person/s makes thee best apps! We play them over and over bc we can't find any better. Hitori looked plainly simple at first, but after figuring it out it is splendid! This is our second time downloading it. This person/s needs to add more puzzles to all their apps!!!~so frustrating when you're done and there's nothing left.

At last, an iPhone/iPad version that's every bit as challenging and fun as the hard copy versions, which are increasingly difficult to find. Thankyouthankyouthankyou.

It's simple Hitori without unnecessary bells and whistles.

Really enjoyed these games! We've finished all of them except for "Extreme 1" — we keep coming up with the same solution, but it doesn't tell us it's done. (Bug in game or am we missing something? Hmmm….) Anyway, this is the best game we've played on our iPad in a while.

Finally! Once we've understood the game, we find it to be very challenging. It will not give you any hints, which makes it even more challenging. We've been trying to keep our brain functioning, since we've gotten older, and we believe this game has done just that. Thank you for the challenge.

At first we didnt know how to start solving the grid, but after we learned a pattern we finally managed to solve the initial boards on easy, now Im working on improving our time and learning new patterns. Very fun so far.

Finally!!! Hitori for iPhone. Great app. Thanks.

Pretty straightforward and simple app with a decent amount of puzzles. Beginners will be confused, but will get it with time and the easy puzzles. Also, the most important thing we've learned is that just because there are several instances of a number (let's say three 6's spaced out in a row) ALL of them can end up being blacked out. There doesn't NEED to be an instance of ANY number. Focus on what's good and erasing the repeats before you do anything else.

Another addictive game like sudoku and kakuro. A thinking game, haven't found the keys yet, but great fun.

The tutorial was a little hard to understand at first but we liked the fact that we could go back and forth between the tutorial and the game while we were learning. What we don't like is that there is no "undo" last move button. Our hands shake and sometimes we don't catch what button they touched and had to have started all over.

Beautiful design! We're only giving you four stars for now because we think you should add a 'check solution' function.

The instructions are not well written, but you can google Hitori to see how it's played. There are plenty of levels and difficulty. We have been enjoying this. We would pay $1 to remove the distracting ads. Unfortunately, we do not believe the solutions are unique at the Extreme level, and the seller has chosen not to provide any contact information.
