Real Kakuro is like a crossword puzzle with numbers. Each "word" must add up to the number provided in the clue above it or to the left. Words can only use the numbers 1 through 9, and a given number can only be used once in a word. Every kakuro has one and only solution, and can be solved through logic alone.

So much better than Sudoku! Any addiction to Sudoku will be substituted by Kakuro.
This is a very well done game. The only negative comment we have, as you can see it doesnt lower the star rating, is this: When you are using the pencil marks (much needed and appreciated at the hardest level) and then you write a number in pen in that row or column, the pencil marks dont update to reflect that you can no longer use that number. Still, we love this game.
Real Kakuro was and still is our favorite relaxing game on cellphone!
No more — or less — to be said about it.
We used to do these puzzles in Dell puzzle magazines many years ago. They were called cross-sums there. This was long before Sudoku became popular. Sudoku puzzles were included in the magazine as well even then, but they were called number-place. Nice to see both become widely played! You can remove ads for $2.99, but most are easy to put up with. However, some are sticky in that it is hard to get back to the game. We will NEVER play Royal Match for just this reason. Others stay around for 20 seconds – too long – 10 will do just fine. Make your choice, but play Kakuro!
Love it! Just enough challenge for us on the extreme level. We can get a ribbon on every challenging level, have to skip some on the extreme level. Have played, deleted, then started all over again several times. Terrific! Still love the game. But Im 70 now, and can no longer do the extreme level without a great deal of frustration. Challenging level is perfect for us now! Love it. We want to keep our brain working!

We like to play this game because it helps us relax and helps keep our mind sharp.
We gave this five stars because it deserves it for what you get. There are so many puzzles, you will never run out. It doesnt ask you for money. We guess there are ads, but they never bother us. We were doubtful they could be challenging enough while still being small enough to fit on the phone, but definitely some of them are. Our one big wish: please please please give us an undo button! Sometimes we will discover a flaw in logic after we’ve already made a number of entries based on it. We need the ability to back up several moves because theres no way to remember everything we need to correct.

Love this game! Our only suggestion would be an undo button that you could tap repeatedly, this would make using bowmans bingo on harder levels much easier.
Im a fan of logic based games. This is better than sudoku, which gets boring to us after a while. This is challenging, but fun.
When will you you incorporate Apple Pen support? Love otherwise. Has been our go-to for years.
The latest update really improved ease and enjoyment of playing. Our only concern is Im running out of puzzles pretty soon.
The screen freezes up all the time. We have to exit the game and reopen it all the time. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didnt help. We love the game but this is annoying. We wish we could turn the screen sideways to make it bigger.

Love this game! Though we only do the easy and occasional medium category. It gives us company, relaxes our body while engaging our mental capabilities in our downtime. There is nothing we want to be addicted to than playing a game of Kakuro, it sharpens our aging mind. Absolutely Fantastic!

We’ve played this game more than any other game on our iPad.
Best Kakuro app & worth the price not to have commercials. Played all 600 extreme levels, so challenging we cleared our scores so we could work them again.
We love this! We spend hours playing it every week. Our only suggestion would be to somehow let us connect our progress to Game Center or Facebook or something. If we get a new phone a will lose everything. Regardless this is a 5 star game!

We’ve been a fan of logic puzzles for most of our life, but Id never heard of kakuro until recently. After trying it once we were an instant fan. Dont let the math intimidate you: this is a direct relative of sudoku. Apart from the fairly simple sums, kakuro follows the same basic sudoku-style formula. You establish possibilities and then eliminate the impossibilities. This isnt the only implementation of Kakuro out there, but it may be the best. Real Kakuro provides a beautiful, functional interface that doesnt get in the way of the game itself. It offers optional guidance to completely eliminate the need to solve the addition problems, but this is easily disabled. In short, its simple, its fun, its great.
If you like Kakuro, this is a great app to pick up. Each level has enough games in it to keep you busy for a long time. And if you do play a lot, you’ll probably find the next level beckoning to you. And there’s also the challenge of re-visiting problems you solved early on, to see if you can beat your old score. (Trust us, it will seem like you’re playing it for the first time, again.) This is our first review, and we’re not getting anything for it. We just felt had to write it, and alert you Kakuro players about a great deal!
Play the way you feel. Hard day? Relax and fly through the easier levels, or block out your troubles and concentrate for awhile on a puzzle from the tougher levels.

We really enjoy this game. Its great for exercising the brain. Like they say if you dont use it… You lose it.
We really enjoy this app and like the different choices of hardness.
We prefer Kakuro to Sudoku, and this is a great version with a huge number of puzzles. We had been playing the free version for a while, and the ads are fairly unintrusive, but we paid the $3 to support the developers. The cheapasses who complain about ads when getting 3000 levels for free should perhaps try working for a living.
We like that it allows us to pencil in possible numbers and that using the eraser just takes the specific box back to the previous numbers that we had entered.
Along with KenKen – which didnt survive the iOS 12 update – this has been our go-to game; have played it many times daily for years. Thanks for a great implementation!
If you like sudoku, picross, 2048, blendoku, hashi,slitherlink, link-a-pix, nurakabi (sp?), or any kind of logic picture/number game youll love this, especially if youre into numbers. This one is mathy and if youre especially good at math or fast with basic math, youll want to stick to the expert ones. Maybe the hard ones when youre bored. If you know about this kind of game, here they put the possible numbers so its even easier and almost makes you feel a little guilty.
We love Kakuro more than Sudoku. This eye below the board is not a cheating tool. Every Kakuro players has this handy list of numbers.
