Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Our brother got us addicted to this game, we play it with friends and family at most gatherings and this companion app is perfect! It makes the game way more fun to play as the whole group isnt pausing to do math between every round. The graphics are quite cute and the thematic music is fun! We think a redo button would also be nice since the little heal and draw pop ups fade quickish, that way you could press un do and then redo to make them pop up again :).

Please, please, implement the variants like extra jokers, reducing health of enemies, reducing power of enemies, and vice versa to make it more difficult as well. Also sorting cards by number or suit, and an undo button. With all of these changes the app could be great and an instant 5 stars.

This is a great puzzle game that you can play with a simple deck of cards. The solo game is also well done and worth the money, but its missing some basic quality of life features to make it truly great. For example, being able to continue a game that you started is a basic feature that this is missing. If you stay away from the game long enough and the app restarts itself, you also need to start your game from scratch. It would also be great to be able to sort the cards in your hand by rank or suit.

This is one of the best solitaire implementations Ive ever come across. We randomly found it, and got the app for the solo experience, which is a very, very fair price. We happily support developers who monetize fairly with no ads or crazy IAP. The design aesthetic is what drew us in. Also that its a quick-play solo experience, perfect for a work break. Its easy to learn, and the UI and app function are flawless. The whole concept and gameplay are AWESOME. One of the most clever ideas for solitaire Ive come across. 50 stars for that alone! Another 50 for the artwork and how smoothly it plays. The file size is huge, Im not sure why, Id usually bypass on such a huge file, but its worth how good the game is. Its also good on battery. That said, we thought the card game Friday was hard. This seems harder. Ive beat Friday several times. We cant beat this. So far Ive never made it past the Queens to fight the Kings. Ive watched videos online, so we know Im approaching the play correctly, but we guess things havent lined up right yet. Still, its quick to play, and enjoyable, so Ill stick with it, for now at least. Id like to beat it at least once! We highly recommend this game. Its definitely addictive. But beware you are going to lose constantly, and that win might be elusive. But if you do win, that will feel amazing.

This brings hidden value to any deck pf playing cards tucked away. Of course theres solitaire and its ilk, but this is TACTICAL solitaire. The flavor unearthed from mundane jacks, jokers, 2s through 10s will have looking at playing cards in a whole new light.

We discovered this game only weeks ago and Ive been hooked and pushing it to anyone who would listen. Props to everyone involved. Got the solo purchase and a few sets of cards to further support the effort and they are great. Only one nitpick on the companion app: we wish orientation could rotate to either of the two sides. Currently we have to rotate the phone to what the app picked as the correct side. But other than that, solid.

Its great, just need a way to help us track combos.

Regicide is an amazingly good game and the app is a great way to play it solo. We havent used the app to track a multiplayer game yet, but for the solo play alone the app is worthwhile.

We bought the one time fee solo mode. Im still learning it. However we would like to be graded on how we are doing besides defeat. We would like to know if we got further this time than last time. You could implement some sort of counting of the Enemy cards that we were unable to destroy before the defeat. We have yet to win. But it doesnt stop us from playing. We just would like to know how well we did with regard to our prior scores. Thank you for considering.

Good adaptation, but in the solo game, you cant take the yield action. Id like to see them fix that. Otherwise, good game.

This is very well developed and an awesome game. The reason why we give it 1 star instead of 5 is because the developer has chosen to lock the solo play and charge extra for it. Why not state it in the description in the App Store or just charge the full amount and have it unlocked. The way the developer goes about it is shady.

This game is ingenious. They made a new (and good!) game out of a standard 52-card deck of cards. Moreover, they harnessed and elevated the royal court theme inherent to the cards design by crafting a simple story around the objective of the game. We literally found ourselves wondering if this was somehow the original card game and we just never heard of it. The minimalist renaissance music and art is truly excellent. We gave the game 5 stars for its low price and perfect form, but your mileage with replay-ability will vary. The solo game is appropriately difficult, but once you beat it, incentives to replay drop off markedly and we cant think of ways to improve this dynamic. Maybe more achievements.

Our friends and we have enjoyed this game a great deal. The app makes keeping score very easily and allows for a fun solo experience. Well done.

We love the aesthetics of the art and app. Question: it seems that the suit power of our animal companions doesnt work when used in conjunction with face cards. Is this the rule? Or an oversight.

Regicide is VERY DIFFICULT! But that doesn't stop us playing. It's a fantastic game either solo or with a 2-4p. We'd give the app 4.9* if we could. Just some minor tweaks we'd ask for. As another has mentioned, make the "draw" and "heal" notifications sticky or permanent somewhere on the screen. When healing cards, you have to shuffle the discard. By the time you're done, you've forgotten how many to heal. Other tweak: the music is very nice and fitting to the theme. However, it would be great to have the preference to turn off music and sound to remain when closing and reopening the app. Solo mode: it's a little tough to find the rules to solo. Suffice it to say, the only real differences are your hand is 8 cards and the jokers are used to discard your current hand and draw a new set of 8. If you can win without using a joker: GOLD! One joker: Silver. Both: bronze. The official solo rules don't say, but we'd suggest you can also use a joker to heal 8 if you run short on the draw pile.

Makes playing the farms a breeze, is super simple to use and quickly understand how everything works. Only feedback Id give is sometimes its hard to remember the result of a turn with all the cars management, rather than the little pop-up descriptions floating off itd be great to have it live somewhere or be manually dismissible.

Havent won the game yet but we will NOT stop trying! We absolutely love this game and the app help with the thematic immersion and its absolutely wonderful.

Seems like a solid start however its a little surprising that this companion app doesnt contain a button for the rules, a link to the [current version of] rules, or even a player aid summery you cal call up. Also makes us wish they had gone all the way and implemented a solo play game mode (in-app purchase?) so we could play with no cards while on the go. P.S. The game itself is neat.

We love this game, and Im so excited the companion app is out! Using the camera to scan cards is pure genius. But there is one minor issue: the iPad app uses the rear facing camera, rather than the front-facing camera. Hopefully this is fixed soon, but currently its really awkward to try to hold your cards behind the ipad.
