Buy this game!! Loved playing back in the Day we think 2013-2015. Then it disappeared from the App Store. Now Im glad its back. This game, along with the ports from feral interactive and Aspyr games have brought us well known premium game classics That said, iOS has its own premium legends, particularly Pascals Wager Rpublic and a few more Classics, that were born here on this iOS system. Im glad this classic has come back. We buy all of Camoflaj Studios games their Batman on Quest 3 is another VR masterpiece.
We found out about this game as a child, and we loved it! We loved playing around with the cameras and sending Hope everywhere, but we never got past the first chapter (our little baby brain couldnt comprehend how to get into the library). But we found it again when we had grown, and replayed it. To say that we loved the nostalgia and experiences is an understatement. Rpublique is one of the games we will never get tired of. It is our past our present and our future. Both figuratively and partly literally. We have laughed and cried and yelled and stared in horror and amazement as the story unfolded infront of us, this is a rarity from us and we love that this game has brought it out of us. Amazing Work! We hope to see more of this in the future. Now to our in depth opinions on the Characters and Story. (Aka. Us just ranting about the storyline and how much we love it >:)) SPOILERS!!!! You have been warned! – FIRST OFF we HAVE A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH ZAGER, seriously what the heck is going on with this old man senior guy who doesnt like technology ?? Hes a real weirdo (we mean that as affectionally as we can) and that makes him very significant! Hes an important part to the story and we loved how he went off the rocker when he got mad in his tapes, really made us laugh and yell in agreement sometimes. BUT WHAT THE HECK MAN DONT DISMISS MY BOY COOPER LIKE THAT!!!!! Zager is an old blooded violence loving man and hes cool in his own way – COOPER MY BOY MY BABY BOY!!!!!! We love cooper. He is the reason we wake up in the morning. He is the coolest Gamer guy that we have ever seen! AND IT BROKE ME WHEN we REALIZED HE WAS THE ONE GUARDING THE ELEVATOR! We had to pause after that and first check every game cartridge and poster and anything that would let us hear his voice again. And we stared in abject horror at our screen when we realized that he would never be able to speak to us again. He will never be able to give us his cool quips on the posters around the facility, he would never rant to us in affection about his games that we retrieved for him. We would never hear his voice again. We admit, we actually cried after we realized that. And we never cry. This was kind of terrifying for us. Our guiding hand had gone. And it was all our fault. We had sabotaged him. We had backstabbed him ON PURPOSE!!! Because we wanted to progress. We didnt know it was him but still. We had a feeling it couldnt be this easy. And it wasnt. We had to actually pause the game and sit for an hour to think. We didnt want to continue without Cooper. We didnt want to accept that he was taken away, because of us. BECAUSE OF ME!! We literally went through the 5 stages of grief on this. Because of a videogame character. Im so glad that he came back at the end. We just wish that he had more voicelines at the end. We wanted to TALK to him, we wanted to tell him how much we had missed his commentary and help. We wanted to so much. IN CONCLUSION!! We WISH MY BABY HAD MORE SCREENTIME!!!! – TREGLAZOV!!!! HOLY MOLY LEMON POKIE!!! We both love and hate him. We love him because HES SUCH A GREAT VILLAIN!! Like WHAT!! He is a realistic depiction of a man who wants to CONTROL. And his dialogue!! He is totally convinced of his beliefs! And it gets translated perfectly!! This man has literally made us laugh and scream and yell like we have never before. He and his opinions on the banned books, and his flawed ideology. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE MYSTERY OF HIM AS A WHOLE!!! We never know what he looks like. And we will never find out. He is everywhere, either in portraits or statues, and yet we never see him as a whole. He is a great mystery. Though we know alot about him, but from many different perspectives, like his ramblings on books or people, or ZAGERs view of him, or HOPEs view of him. We think of him as a mysterious backstabbing violent sad miraculous old man. We commend him on getting something like the Republique going, but we resent him for keeping her people behind bars. We have changed our opinion on Treglazov multiple times. From seeing him as a sort of twisted father figure, to seeing him as a detached old ghost in a body that can only commit to violence because his lifes work is crumbling before his eyes, all thanks to one of his children and a person in the cameras. Treglazov is our second favorite character because of this. He is evil but wouldnt anyone be evil in others eyes if you do something against their likes? What we mean is- we dont condone what he did, but we understand why he did it. He had his own agenda. His own mind and he was determined to complete it. He wanted power. – MAMMOTH! He is an actual cutie patootie! We wanted to strangle him and then say im sorry and give him chocolate and put his hair in a cute pink bow. This big oaf has stolen our heart and literally stomped on it like he did to HOPE multiple times. Literally. We died so much. But we still think hes a cutie. Just a bit annoying when trying to GET TO THE LAST COLLECTIBLE !!! LIKE SERIOUSLY MAN STOP JUMPSCARING ME AND JUMPING OUT OF THE MOST RANDOM BUSH!!!! Scared us half to death one time. (multiple actually) – THE STORY!!! OH LORD THE STORY!! It had so many ups and downs we swear. (all good we promise) we cant even put it into words how much we loved this game and the experience. It will be etched into our mind forever. Im definitely going to replay this multiple times over. Not just to get a bigger understanding of the layout in this facility, but to explore more and hopefully find more. (Even though we got every single collectible and did a 100% run of every chapter) Nobody will probably ever see this, but we loved the design of the game and always wanted to see behind the scenes. Is there any more development extras and/or an opportunity to explore the map more freely? (Like just walking around and exploring without having to worry about getting tazered) And if there is a FULL database of all the collectibles, character sheets (like the prizrak passports), Music, Story.
Love this game on mobile and on vr. Its such a cool story and experience.

This game was honestly one of the best mobile gaming experiences Ive ever had. Severely underpriced. If youre into stealth games, or story driven adventures, get it, play the first chapter, and see if you dont agree. The full game is super cheap, and worth so much more.
Im a 30-something gamer, have played the big titles on different platforms. Republique is up there with the best of them. Its a unique and unforgettable experience that lends itself perfectly to an iPad. We will definitely do another run through on our new iPad Pro. The game performed perfectly on our old 4th gen iPad. However, it is a big game. And our old iPad only had 64GB of storage. So we had to remove most of our apps to make enough space for all the episodes. But totally worth it! The only thing we wish they would change is how the story ends.

We played this game years ago and we wanted to come back just to let these app developers know how well they did. The best game ever- and its a app? We hope you guys are working on making this game bigger! We want it on our switch or xbox- something! With games like little nightmares theres prod this game would be successful yes its not as scary but people love sneaking around. And the theme and background story, location is great. Theres no game out like this! And although you guys dont update this app anymore it was an amazing game and we will continue to support.
This game kept us so intrigued. When we first downloaded it, we played it for over 7 hours and didnt even realize it. Its amazing. A must if you like story games.
We dont usually write reviews, but we have to say that this game is amazing. For the most part, the free play is just like the paid version, and the graphics are beautiful! The designers gave a lot of forethought and put a lot of imagination in this game. The story is well thought out as well, and even though has a story, it also allows you to move around of your own free will. Also the design of the game involves making you feel as if youre actually inside it. So, we would definitely recommend this game.
This game was amazing, graphics were incredible and it was challenging on the hardest level. We thing the ending was the stupidest thing!!! So instead of letting Hope live her best life, you kill her. Stupid ending, but great game. The game crashes on Episode 4 multiple times towards the end, had no issues with losing stats. Overall a 5, except the ending.
When we first saw this game, we downloaded just to check it out. We liked it within the first minute we started playing it. We even went and got the books they try to keep you from reading in the game. Some cool reads. We havent beaten it yet, but Im almost there. We recommend checking this game out. Its worth it.

This is honestly a top notch quality game for IOS. The graphics are great, voice acting and music are super clean and smooth, and itll take hours to finish the game. However we think the gameplay can be a little clunky at times but we really liked the concept of using the cameras to move around, it really added to the game as we can basically move freely from the character and look around walls or into other rooms two doors down. We have a feeing this game from originally for PC with the camera idea but it was still implemented very well on mobile and it still runs smoothly. There were no glitches or anything which we really appreciate, that you guys took the time ti ensure that this game was perfected. We also really liked how you have to kind of discover the story on your own by listening to audio clips or finding items that add to the story and world. This couldve been a risky and annoying thing but you guys did a great job as its kind of part of the story so its not like you will accidentally miss a super important piece of information. Basically, the game gives you what you need to know but if you want you can search for more to get better context or understanding. However, we have some questions more about the story. At the end of the game is Metamorphosis the pyramid structure or is it the military ship? Also what exactly was the Arrival and the Headmasters true goal? Aside from those questions this is definitely a top notch mobile game and we are definitely going to okay again.
Loveeed this game. After playing episode one we HAD to purchase the full game. We played it all day at work for 4 or 5 days. The story mode was great , we wish there was more.
This is an amazing game to play, we first downloaded it on our phone and wasnt happy with the small screen so we downloaded it on our iPad and we COULD NOT stop playing it! Unfortunately, the game ended and only have 5 levels but other than that loved it.

We really wasnt sure what to expect from this game, but was very pleasantly surprised. We played on iPad Pro and it was flawless, no issues experienced by some others. The game play is unique, somewhat challenging, and story line is simply amazing. The developers did superb job of keeping the action and story flowing. As the player, you are taken directly into the world feeling fully engaged. We highly recommend you give this game a go.

This is one of the best mobile games we have ever played! The controls where okay and the graphics where unlike the other mobile games Ive played before but what we really love about this game is the story we just love how well thought out and well put together the game.
Excellent graphics for a mobile game, and an interesting plot thats all the more appropriate given our smart phone and camera laden world. Considering that such a gameplay can either be fun or annoying, we think they Republique manages to be fun and engrossing. All the better when the first episode is free, and the whole set is cheaper than most people spend on lunch or coffee.

We actually enjoyed this game. And we liked just as much when we had a few years back.
We played this all the way through over a weeks time, and wow, amazing! We think we MAY have come across one bug, maybe, if we did we dont remember. The experience was practically flawless for us. The gameplay is mind blowing smooth! The story is absolutely wonderful and leaves us begging for more. We really hope they make a second one, and maybe make it bigger and longer. We will wait expectantly as long as it takes. We are a long time splinter cell fan, and this satisfied that original SC style stealth gameplay we remember. This game is nothing like SC, just the stealth gameplay made us reminisce. All in all, absolutely amazing. Great job devs! P.S. Looks like most of the complaints are about saves being deleted when downloading a new chapter and such… Dont see why that would effect a review of the actual game itself. More of a back end kind of thing. Oh well.
Overall the story was REALLY good. We got super attached to Hope but the final chapter was honestly super depressing and made us feel like all the hard work(and money) we put into this game was a waste. It looked like there where multiple endings but Ive played through 3 times and it was always the same. The game was very beautiful and had a cool take on the dystopian genre.
The story is so intriguing and the more you play, the more questions you have. Even after finishing the game, we have so many questions. Definitely our favorite game! Our only complaint is we don't agree with the ending, but it makes sense. Finally, would just like to say, we really hope another game is made! Even if it is completely different, we have faith another story game would be really good! Thank you for such an amazing experience.

Just finished the first episode and it was excellent! However, on the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2022 model, the in app purchase button to unlock episode two through five, does not work. Let us know when you guys update this so that we can continue the story.

This game is awesome we just started playing but from our experience it the right amount of mystery and stealth is really cool. This game reminds us of a book that find fascinating called Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
Rpublique is one of the best games Ive ever played by far, the story was great, cool characters(Cooper was our fav), and awesome game mechanics! But unfortunately, the ending is underwhelming There were a lot of open ends, a confusing ending, and we honestly dont feel super satisfied with the ending Dont get us wrong, Im in love with this game and the developers are awesome, Im just a tad disappointed and left with a lot of questions we feel as though a sequel would be great to tie up loose ends and make the fans really satisfied and excited!!! All in all, this game is great, but we would love to see a fulfilling conclusion in a sequel or a DLC.

We recently started replaying Rpublique, and we remember a section of chapter one where you go to the power station. Sure enough, when we looked up a guide, it was there. However, when we played it this time, the event never happened, instead jumping to the end-of-chapter cutscene. It wouldnt be a big deal, but we have a number of intel missing from our completion, and Ive been over all chapter one areas repeatedly, excluding the office in the power station. We bought all chapters of the game, if that makes any difference.

What an incredible gamefrom the atmosphere to the storytelling, we have enjoyed it so far immensely. However, there seems to be a huge issue near the end of episode one: when entering the lobby, instead of encountering guards, the cutscene immediately triggers and leads to Hopes capture by Mirelle. The entire power station section is skipped. We have experimented with several playthroughs and always encounter the same problem. A large chunk of the story is entirely missing. We would greatly appreciate if the devs would patch this so we can fully experience their beautiful game.
We enjoyed this game alot but it wouldnt let go on to the even tho we did everything that was asked.
This was one of our favorite games on the iPad. We love game with a story, and a story with substance. Rpublique delivers, wrapped in a stealth play mechanic. We are sad that this is broken on Mac (-2). For us it plays Episode 1 fine until Hope reaches the lobby. Then none of the items are loaded: no info collectables, Prizrak with empty pockets. So, play on the iPhone or iPad if you can.
