ROME: Total War Reviews

This is a by far outstanding game we love its campaign and just about everything about it but it could use some improvement we hope in the future you add naval battles and make the game a little less buggy thank you for reading this.

Best strategy game we have played on iOS.

We would love for you guys to add 1 vs 1 duels like we can see them battle would be epic! We would like to make another suggestion too, we would like for you guys to add unit numbers like we can set how many soldiers we want in the unit from 0 to And add Spartans like we see in the 300 would be epic too!

Its still like the original game. Controls are obviously not the same and are very tricky to control all the time. We’ve screwed up a couple key moments in battle by sending our soldiers elsewhere. Other than that, still Absolutley fun.

The reason the unit size is 40 is because of a glitch and if you delete it and get it back the problem should be fixed and you wont have to repay for the game. And if you get barbarian invasion you automatically have the right unit size. Keep the good games coming.

Game play is amazing, would love to see some updates but we doubt it will happen, maybe more maps and selection of trooos that arent Romans? German beserkers are OP.

Runs well and is hours of play and fun. It plays well on the iPad. Make shogun 2 next. Ill definitely buy that one too.

Can you guys up in Feral Heaven bring all of the Total war series to iPad? We need equality between mobile and PC. Thank you!

We are a huge fan of the total war series so we were a little suspicious when we saw Rome on mobile. But we were SHOCKED the controls are really easy to learn, the game is really balanced in politics as well as the battlefield. This is the best game on the App Store!!! And we are so amazed that its only 10 bucks. So worth it! Thank you so much for bringing us this game for mobile.

Been playing this for years! Hoping you guys come out with more of your total war games! Like shogun total war.

Missing the Numidian, and Thracian intros though. Can you make those? For the glory of Rome!

Im a really big fan o this but there is one problem. That you cant do shield walls and that really annoys us because shield walls are great tactics to defending a rush so maybe an update will come with shield walls?

We love this game and we play it everyday, but now it crashes everytime… Pls help fix this.

This team: Creative Assembly, Sega and definitely Feral for the port have done everything they could to bring this master piece to the mobile platform.. We love them, if you buy this game (for a amazing price btw) then we love you as well.. Just give it a chance please.

Please make more like this!!! If u can make it more effective add gore lol if u can!!! But GREAT GAME hopefully u can pull a multiplayer version!

Are you still updating the game we have a few ideas.

For the first time in years, we played Rome Total War, and it is the classic that it has always been. Fun – Since Shogun, the gameplay and strategy involved in the series has been top notch, and it translates surprisingly well to this mobile app. The only issue is that the controls in battle are not quite as effective, but given the size of a phone screen, thats expected. However, apart from relying on auto resolving battles rather than commanding them, the game is exactly the same as we remember it. And, to be clear, it isnt impossible to command the battles well, but making adjustments to troop formations is not as fluid or easy as in the desktop version, so battle plans have to be simpler and you will likely sustain higher losses comparatively. Otherwise, the experience is not made any less fun. Cheating – One of the worst/best parts of what we remembered is how maddening the Senate can be with its relentless demands, and after the third or fourth time they demanded our faction leader kill himself, we fell back on our old faithfulCHEATS. Sure, it breaks the game to have infinite denari, insta-train/build, and auto-win battles, but theres also nothing like having one unit of war dogs take Rome all by themselves and make the Senate pay for what theyve done to you. And its even better to create an obscenely massive army and have a 16-year-old generals command ranking end up looking like a clear night sky by the time hes thirty and already conquered everything for you. Overall, an absolutely worthwhile game to buy.

Amazing as always brings back memories but why can you not have 80 man units on iOS now. On our old iPhone we had 80 man units but now Im limited to 40 we had an iPhone 8 before and now a 13. It takes away from the game having the smaller units. It always ran flawless on our old phone so we dont see the reason to down size.

Awesome game just like we remember. We should put it in VR.

Used to LOVE this game, and overall, we think Feral did an amazing job converting this game for mobile play. That being said, it is annoying that we cant seem to be able to set the unit size to 160, as it is 40 by default and larger makes it 80 on the iPhone 13. Please, please, please fix this minor issue!! Edit: Feral got back to us and walked us through how to fix this issue, so in our mind, the games pretty much perfect at this point!! Thanks so much Feral for being helpful and timely!

This game is so fun and its fun to play with new armys new war its very fun and cool we like it a lot.

We love this game just like the others and we think you should make empire total war also lol.

You need to get medival on tablet and the iPhone, and get better battle strategies.

Give us more titles please. This is awesome.

We love the total war games on PC, so we thought Id try this out. We love it. Its amazing. There are a lot of factions you can play as, you can build forts and watchtowers to see over the land and stage raids and sieges. This game overall is amazing. There are a few things Id like the developers to add, which include fixing units in towns and cities, or when they are on walls, it can be a little glitchy sometimes, but otherwise huge wall settlements are our favorite sieges to do, also sea battles and naval landings would be awesome to have in the game so you can do something like a Carthage beach landing and have an attack from land and sea, artillery ships attacking the walls so the naval troops can get through. We love being able to play one of our favorite PC games on our phone, and the great thing is, doesnt need WiFi. We can play it up in the woods. It also has easy to reach cheat codes. Press the top corners of the screen and hold it and you get the Rome Shell or something like that. Players can use that to do the campaign quickly and see how strong you can get. We’ve only used the showmethemoney cheat and the process_cq all and process_rq all which, in order, is gives you we think a million denarii, instantly complete construction queue and last but not least finish the recruiting queue. 10/10 recommend to players who like rts style games.

Hey can you guys consider adding a historical ai mode where factions stick to their historical conflicts and territories. This would make the game feel new and keep over powered factions from taking over one section of the map.

Great game for iPad hours and hours of entertainment terrific graphics. Almost as good as team Italy in 2021 euro cup!

We like the game but we need like town 1 uniform like tome 2 we watch one video Mobile.

Love the game great port. Our question is there a unit camera feature like in the original. Curious if so how do we do it?

Always enjoyed playing this game for hours and hours since we were a kid, Just wish there were multiplayer.

This game is really fun. It has all the war like brutally and even has good graphics for a mobile game. We really recommend this game so give it a try.

This game is great good job porting it been playing this for years but please do medieval total war.

Its good but we could use a free lord of the rings we dont want to waste our money just to play the same thing if you guys make a lord of the rings Ill play every day pls do.

If yall make another game like this on mobile can the next one be either empire total war or napoleon total war or medieval total war?

Give life to the settlements And get midevel total war on iPad.

We love this game! We have had it for our PC since it very first came out and still played it until this version for phones came about. The only complaint we have ever had is that it is very, very difficult to maintain a positive balance in the treasury. We feel like that problem was fixed in Medieval Total War but never in Rome. Anyway, that is literally the only complaint that we have had about these games! Love them! It would be really really nice if you could make some adjustments to the troops as have been suggested by others.

THE best game to play if youre into battles and Roman era warfare especially on the iPhone.

As a watcher of the PC games we always loved this. However, getting a good PC is pretty expensive so we’ve always held the trigger of not buying one. However when we saw this we were super glad! Not too expensive and really fun! 1. The battles are epic! The generals speech at the beginning really helps with this. Gives it a sense of importance. The music track is also epic! 2. The campaign is really fun! Has a nice mixture of politics and action. Makes you think which we love. 3. Has a great many factions to choose from. A variety, all with different play styles. We personally love Egypt and their chariots. Fun to mess with. 4. And finally, the variety of maps makes it really fun! Changes the experience every time. Makes it new and fresh again! Overall the developers did a fantastic job! We hope more Total War titles are added to mobile in the future!

Just a suggestion to add SPQR, gets a little boring when having to play as the other Roman factions over and over, and just trying to please the senate is tedious, so why not add the ability to play as the senate.

Can you please!!!! Add more different formations like shieldwall or shelltron it would help make it more fun and interesting.

Conquer the world just like in the originals. The graphics are rudimentary and not nearly as good as Medieval 2 but oh well. The game is a classic and definitely worth playing. We love slaughtering peasants with our upgraded urban cohorts! Buy this game and enjoy the carnage, enslave your enemies and build your empire!

This game is just amazing. Is there a way you guys can make it so we can play it on Mac book that would be amazing just imagine Rome total war on Mac.

We just want to say that ROME: TOTAL WAR is a fantastic game and we really advise playing it!! But we’ve always wondered because this game has become extremely successful on iPhone that we were wondering if Midieval 2: TOTAL WAR could come to iPhone? As we see its the same graphics and runs almost the same as ROME: TOTAL WAR. We really hope it come on iPhone because we had a blast doing ROME: TOTAL WAR and we truly believe Midieval 2: TOTAL WAR would be a huge success like ROME: TOTAL WAR is now on iPhone please put it on iPhone!!!
