A Glimpse into RS Dash

RS Dash is the must have companion telemetry app for Project Cars 1, Project Cars 2, Project Cars 3, F1 2023, F1 2022, F1 2021, F1 2020, F1 2019, F1 2018, F1 2017, F1 2016, Forza Motorsport 7, RaceRoom Racing Experience, Assetto Corsa, Assetto, Corsa Competizione, RFactor 2, AutoMobilista, AutoMobilista 2 and iRacing.

Please note, this app is not free, in-app purchases are required to activate each racing game interface depending on which of these racing simulators you own.

RS Dash features real-time vehicle telemetry of crucial vehicle data. Designed by a race car driver for race car drivers it includes graphing of rpm, speed, gear, throttle and brake position per lap and a lap chart system including sector by sector breakdown.

Get the advantage over your opposition by knowing exactly whats going on with your car at all times. Every litre of fuel adds extra weight and costs you time, not sure how much fuel you need for a race? RS Dash provides live fuel usage statistics so you can see exactly how many litres you need to put in your tank for each racing lap.

Want more? There is also a HUD and one of the most important things, a dedicated race page showing you critical fuel, tire (wear/temps), brake (temps), damage and lap timing, a must have for any racer.

Note: Feature availability in RS Dash depends on the racing game this app is being used with as the different games offer varying degrees of telemetry data.

This app will work with both the PC and Console versions of Project CARS, F1 20xx and Forza Motorsport 7. Important Note: Console users of Project Cars 2 require Project Cars 2 patch v2.0 or newer which adds the option for the UDP telemetry to be enabled.

For RaceRoom Racing Experience, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, RFactor 2, AutoMobilista and iRacing this app will only work with the Windows PC version of those racing games and will require the "RS Transmitter" application to be installed on the same PC as the game. The "RS Transmitter" application can be downloaded from the Pocket Playground website.

Despite following set up instructions app never connects.

This app is amazing. Tons of info and easy to use. If you are balls deep in to sim racing this app is for you.

Rich interface, good bang for buck. Looking forward to seeing some added functionality.

We love this app, we have a spare phone mounted behind our steering wheel and this is perfect. Also able to use on multiple devices simultaneously. Speedometers change background color yellow-red for shift indicators.

Some metrics on the interface is simply not available in the game (ACC) in our case. Damage level is visible in one screen. We really like the timing screen and we use that the most. We might even get an extra screen just for that. Super handy to choose if we want to use phone or iPad depending on what we do.

Great app. Aesthetically pleasing and very functional. Only this we would suggest is to add pop ups where the brake bias, mix and diff are changed. Reference the Race Dash app. Every time you manipulate the settings of BB, diff and mic a pop up appears over the entire screen. If you add that option this will be the best app out there!!!

Wish the web interface were a bit less clunky.

We bought this for forza 7 on Xbox one and most of the info doesnt work. Tire wear doesnt work, no info about brakes, suspension, etc. No sector times. Timed races dont record lap times. Pretty much says everything is 100% all the time. The coolest thing is the accelerometer does work, but it doesnt seem to record the info in away that you can go back later and make use of. We were a bit disappointed but maybe forza just doesnt send much data?

We are trying to connect the app to the Xbox one s and we cant cannot connect. We followed directions but do we need to connect to the up address too?

We run many other dashboards. But this one is the benchmark in every EVERY game… We think we started using it inF1 2016. Then forza forza horizon Ac. ACC. Race room Rfactor Iracing f1 2017 18 19 20 . Project cars project cars 2 automobilista 1 b and 2 Get the idea. Great app.

We cant say enough about this app. Therere is so much useful data collect when you race. From tren the different screens you can chose to look at that provide all sorts of telemetry. To the rs Dash cloud site that backs up all of your data from a race or practice so that you can go back and analyze the data. As we have said before this is one of the best apps we’ve ever had.

This will not work or link up to your pc unless you buy 2 seperate licenses.

This app is super helpful and gives us lots of lap information, damage, etc! The only limiting factor is that Forza does not make full use of the features. We can’t wait to try it on other side.

Actually works. Somewhat useful. Not much ability to analyze after an event is over.

Love that you can set the data to upload to a website that provides a good amount of info to learn from!

We think this app is definitely a good start, but we have experienced bugs and crashes (iPad 10.5, up-to-date). Id like to see the interfaces made a bit more sophisticated looking versus the sort of simple graphics they use. Dont get us wrong, we are still getting enjoyment out of this app. It adds great value to sim-racing. Id also love it if the career lap time saves was more fleshed out. It would be amazing to be able to access some form of record book where you could review your top-10 times per course, per vehicle, etc.

Great concept but with a 2-3 second delay it doesnt do any good.

This app is incredibly useful. It not only frees up your main display(s), but can provide more telemetry in a cleaner format than the sims it supports (my frame of reference is Project Cars 2, FWIW). When our kids are racing, we can fire up our phone or iPad, sit on the couch, and give them tips without hovering over their shoulder, which is pretty cool, too.

Worth every penny, who am we kidding, worth every dime. We felt lost without this great app at the release. Do yourself a favor, buy it, after 5 min you will racing with a huge smile on your face.

Nothing but great things about this app a must have.

Concept is awesome and we love it in Project Cars but it doesn’t work with the same fluidity as pCars Dash.
