We always purchase BF games nearly to the moment of their release. However, after downloading this game and playing the trial part, we CANNOT complete the purchase! It keeps saying purchase failed … Whats up? Can you please check? Thanks! Update: Purchase problem was resolved. Yay! Completed and breezed through the game. Was one of the more enjoyable ones lately! Found myself wanting to move forward to follow the story! Thanks!

Myths of the World is our favorite series from Big Fish games! We find as many collectibles and souvenirs as we can while playing the game, then return to the Extras section afterwards so we can complete all the Achievements. Big Fish games are a good value, especially the ones on sale, since you can play countless hours trying to solve all the puzzles or skip the most difficult puzzles and simply follow the storyline. If we can afford them, anyone can!

Stored this one to play again. Great game!

Excellent and fun!! Highly recommend..

This game will keep you wondering what will happen next.

With this game, Eipix has returned to greatness. The last few we’ve played were sort of lame, but this is a return to the quality of the Chinese healer.

Very addicting. Once we started we couldn’t quit.

Loved this game. Once we started it, we couldn’t put it down. Now we’re sad that it’s going to end.

Very interesting storyline, Love the multiple tasks within the hidden object scenes. Teleporting map is provided along with a collectible to find in each scene. Graphics are Very well done, with quite a bit of special effects which really add to the game. Also something that we don’t often mention is the background music is well suited for this adventure. Character voice overs are believable and well done also. Thoroughly enjoying this installment in this series and recommend trying it and then buying it. Game is dealing with mythology. Thank you to Big Fish & the Developers who did an outstanding job! Play & Enjoy KdBoots.

This game is so addicting. Good job,

Graphics are nice. Games vs HOP fairly equal. Altogether it was fun and interesting.

Liked the game but prefer morphing objects in big scenes. Had a Omega sign to look for in every one but prefer morphing objects. The collectables had us completely puzzled.

Otherwise we would feel totally cheated. An okay game, but WAY too short. The map didnt work. We increased our rating because now Im playing it a second time (2 years later) and its a decent game. Better than some of the crap BigFish has been putting out. And Im still bugged about their buy once, play forever broken promise. And have we noticed that theyre releasing old games trying to trick us into paying for them again?

Great game so far. HOPs are challenging. Story line is good. Its a bit glitchy. Sound goes out every so often and we have to go out and come back in. Screen has gone blank a few times too. Music (when it plays) is AMAZING!!!

Game ok. Should be at least 3.5/stars but sound went out later in game. Tried restarting, but still only background music. No voice. Boo. So much for $6.99.

This came could be good enough, but several times we had to skip puzzles because there was no solution or the instructions were so difficult to understand what to expected outcome was supposed to be. The HOPs were so dark at times, we could not find objects. With some corrections it could be a decent game.

There is nothing really wrong with this game. Its just boring. Its taken us what feels like weeks to get through it. And we love Greek Mythology! There was so much to likewith the opportunity to learn about some of the myths, with the colourful scenes, with the enchantment of Olympus and Pegasus and The underworld and… It just fell flat. The games were too easy, the puzzles didnt allow for zoom, and there was just nothing about this game that was even novel or cool, much less innovative. Five stars for fundamentals, length (at least the perceived length!) and not being crash or buggy, one star for like-ability and originality… Average is 3 stars. Worth the price to do something in a snow storm… Not so sure its worth it otherwise.

Considering that we enjoy this series and we love Greek Mythology, we thought that we would love this game. We were wrong! We found it fairly dull. You could customize settings. The storyline was somewhat convoluted and at times a tad confusing. The graphics were mostly beautiful Grecian scenery, but this being EIPIX, they were not the best quality, lacking clarity and sharpness. There was no cohesive journal but objectives were regularly updated. An excellent marked teleport map was included to transport you instantaneously between locations. At each location you must collect a token which bears an omega symbol, and the indicator will change from blue to gray once you collect it. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble; inventory usage was somewhat quirky per this developer. There was a gimmick in the game, which was your superpower. We wont go into detail; however we didnt enjoy the mini-game associated with charging the power. The HO scenes were typical of EIPIX, with the variety we regularly receive from them. Of course there were some micro-HO scenes as well. There was an alternate puzzle in the form of a skipping stones game. The variety of puzzles and games didnt really excite us or pique our interest; most were extremely simplistic or of the boring rotational variety. At least the quality assurance was somewhat better than in their last game. EIPIX needs to give us excellent quality assurance on a regular basis, not just sporadically! This game was quite short inclusive of the bonus adventure. This game was underwhelming and quite average, so our review will stand at 3 stars. Note to Catalina: we hope you read our updated review of the Artifex Mundi game and realized the humor in the situation. What made it even funnier was that KimTwilight figured out exactly where we were and what had happened! Still we really appreciate that you tried to help us anyway; you are a lovely and thoughtful individual. Happy gaming to all! On a side note: Izzyoc, we hope all is well with you. We havent seen your reviews in a while!

In our opinion, this game does not bring any innovative concepts to the table; but we still think it is a decent time-waster. The premise is distinct, as the theme of Greek mythology is infrequently conveyed in the HOA genre. As you traverse through utopian-like settings tree-lined cliffs, with carved-out stairs leading up to splendid palaces; lush waterfalls; and statues of deities you will have to endure punishing hardships, such as fighting off the mythological chimeras (creatures with a lion’s head, a tail in the form of a snake, and reptile-like limbs). The graphics could be fine-tuned to sharpen up the clarity of details. The coloration is light and lively, a welcoming change in scenery from the common shadowy background of the prevailing horror-themed games. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. In custom mode, the teleport map facilitates brisk travel to labeled locations and indicates available actions. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick; no glitches to report. This developer continues to present the run-of-the-mill gameplay we have become accustomed to. It’s time for this developer to break away from their outdated formulaic structure and invent some original approaches to gameplay. The HOSs are varied and interactive. However, they are also nondescript, as they are completely devoid of novel techniques. The puzzles, although they stick to the theme, lack the challenging aspects that defined them in this developer’s games from years ago. You discover one set of collectibles; each one is highly visible in placement. Overall, we’ve become blas about the standard fare of gameplay that is being implemented throughout this developer’s games. But, this storyline did hold our attention, as opposed to becoming disenchanted with it. This is one of the better games in this series. We suggest you play the free trial. Our true rating of 3.5 stars is lowered to a final rating of a decent 3 stars.

We found this game very difficult. It talks of Greek myths and people, etc, that we dont know. The Greek symbols of their alphabets are very confusing to us, also. We cant figure out what our next moves are, unless we use a hint. And there’s no skip to the puzzles. But, we CAN skip buying this game, and we will.

Not much to this game. It’s not intuitive, hints are needed to determine every move. Not buying it.

The story was decent and the scenes were playable but it was hard to see sometimes, like the graphics were great at moments but at the same time other parts of the scene would have not so great graphics. Annoying music ended up playing on silent. The hidden objects scenes were too dark at time or the object you were looking for was indistinguishable from the back ground or looked nothing like it should have they mostly made our eyes and head hurt. Finished they game but didnt do the bonus chapter because it started with another HOS and our eyes just couldnt take anymore.

Midway through the last chapter when the game froze! A prize was not given and stopped all progress.

If you like counting in order, matching shapes and tools sitting next to their use, and one round mini games solved in ten taps, this is the game for you. Maybe we are used to games with more attention to actual game play, not just tapping to trigger pretty animations that do all the building or whatever for you. Do not turn on helpful messaging in the custom settings, the messages are not just vague hints, but often the solutions. Many major tasks are accomplished in just a few taps. In one, we were given a pivotal task, and three or four taps later we had completed it without even leaving the scene. Why was that even a task? Tool use is sometimes illogical and arbitrary. More of the "you have a random thing, just try it here," type of play, without even a nod to the real world qualities of the thing. You’ll know one in particular when you get to it. As the game goes on, standard conventions like finding something to protect your hand from something extremely hot gets dropped, like the programmers got bored with the tedious coding of all the little details necessary for realistic game play. The most challenging part of the mini games was just figuring how the interface worked, not the puzzle itself. That and remembering, no, the solution really is as obvious as it looks. No tricks, just basically more labor intensive triggers. Graphics are pretty, but the tap sensitivity is extremely picky in the HOs. And the HOs are the muddy kind where you can’t tell which tapering cylindrical object is the horn, even in zoom, on the brightest screen setting. Then, tap on an target, get an x, move on, come back, try 5 more times because you’ve found everything else and this is the only possibility left, and suddenly it picks up if you happen to just hit a nanometer over on the target. We could have been done three minutes ago. With many targets smaller than the width of even our tiny finger tip, even on an iPad you can’t see it when you are selecting it, so you are just mashing around trying to get it. Also, Zoom is only available on some HOs, and gives you a penalty x every time you touch the screen to move around. If you are kid or just learning how these games work, it is probably fun. It’s like an extended tutorial. If you are an experienced player, you are yearning for the complexity of games done in 34 bit 5 years ago and wondering, what’s the point of this? Oh, and yeah, like someone else said, there is no tracker to tell you found the disc already in the scene. With the back and forth, in similar scenes, it is hard to keep track of whether you found it already. Time consuming and annoying, to have to keep checking to be sure. Basic standard stuff that was omitted. Again, not the eipix of the past. Our guess is they lost the really creative folks responsible for the novel, complex games they used to produce. Wish we knew where they went.

Great game unique scenarios, pleasure to play. Puzzles are way too easy, though. Sadly, it crashes at the Agora after rescuing Prometheus. If starting it again doesnt fix it, we want our money back or a free game of equal value.

Its a good thing hints are free because this game is so obscure you need to use lots of them.

Game wont continue and we want a refund!

No sound effects?! No voice overs?! Quality and gameplay are what you’d expect from 20 years ago. And we agree with the other reviewer who mentioned tools/items being used right where they’re found. Boring! Isn’t even worth the sale price of $3.

The sign button does not change color or shows on the map when located. With all the moving from scene to scene, we forget if we have already found the sign. Also, there are too many snakes. And, we are playing the free intro. We will not purchase this game.

We cant even finish the game because Prometheus has decided NOT to give us the piece to an amulet we need to move on?!? We even looked on the floor like did the dude drop it?!? And this was the first game we bought in years because we missed playing. What a waste!!!

It will not let us unlock the game it just keeps saying purchase failed please try again. It is doing that to all of our recent downloads whats going on?
