What Makes SeaBattle: Warships Puzzle Stand Out
Discover by logic alone where the SeaBattle fleet is hidden in the sea! SeaBattle puzzles are a single player version of the classic game many of us used to enjoy as children. Using pure logic and requiring no math to solve, these addictive puzzles offer endless fun and intellectual entertainment to puzzle fans of all skills and ages.
A typical SeaBattle puzzle consists of a 10×10 grid containing a hidden fleet of ten known ships. The only information is numbers telling how many ship segments are in each row and column, and some given ship segments in various places in the grid. The object is to discover where all ten ships are located in the grid.
The game includes a pencilmarks feature to place temporary water or ship segments when solving very hard puzzles, and a highlight excluded squares feature to help see where certain ship sizes can be placed.
To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.
For more fun, SeaBattle contains no ads and includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

Community Insight:
Im not paying for more packs so we wish there were more free ones but otherwise gameplay is ok and everything but pls add more packs.
After years of enjoying the battleship games in a magazine, we were happy to find this wonderful app! The app is great in its simplicity and love playing it. Once we reached the Medium difficulty level, the games became really challenging for us, so much that we thought we needed to make guesses to solve the puzzles. BUT if we really study the layout and keep going over the grid we eventually work out the logic. We just LOVE this game.
Fun and challenging at higher levels. Just when you think you have it, wrong.
Just wish there was a way to switch the background color. Its so bright at night, even with our phones brightness all the way down.
This game is a great way to relax. It involves problem solving skills and requires you to focus just enough to take your mind off of everything else. It isnt so hard that your head aches though. Its pretty fun.
We always enjoy working on this puzzle. We can check our progress throughout.
Its a fun and engaging puzzle game that uses logic to solve. These puzzles are easy enough to solve while shutting off our brain after a busy hectic day but not so easy that its boring.
Our husband and we are addicted to this game. We also appreciated the clear directions and tools available to support completing the puzzles.
We were actually looking more for a live board game, but we found this great puzzle game instead. The best game without a ton of ads.
We think the game statistics were amazing. There are tons of fun puzzles except not all of them are free. And we wish there was a super easy levels like a 2-2 grid or a 3-3 grid for starters that would be great. Also it would be interesting if there was a monthly puzzle. Thank you for taking your time to read what we had to say.
We love this game. Played in Games magazine for decades. Played online for years. Loved it in those formats. The app is good except there are some issues that have never been fixed, most notably, the check answer function often gives wrong answers. On a three or four spot answer, if the end is wrong, it will tell you two spots are wrong. Also, our middle aged eyes find the larger puzzles tiny.
This is a fun, relaxing game. We like to replay puzzles and see if we can beat our own time.
Update: almost a year later and the same problem persists Original review: Game is good but it NEVER STOPS with the pop-ups asking to rate and/or asking to set-up backups.
We have been playing this game since it used to be featured in the LA times. So great to find the app that allows us to enjoy Sea Battle. This is a great little diversion when you have a few minutes between meetings or youre waiting to pick up your kid.
This is one of the easier Puzzles, but still challenging. Thanks for the fun.
Very fun to play, it rattles our brain just the right amount.
We like to do the easy ones. But if we do buy medium or hard, there are great clue interfaces that are helpful if you want to use them.
Loved the easy level, but medium becomes impossible.
Amazing app, have purchased several packages. Please add other color themes, blue is hard to fall asleep to every night. At least 1 warm color, shade of brown, orange, or red.
Really nice game and fun, Finished them all, And need more puzzles.
This is a simple app that does just what we want. Gives us a lot of the battleship games we love in puzzle books on our iPhone. You get the first couple of sets for free, then sets of 50 games are available for a reasonable @$2. Games within each set are clearly rated by difficulty so you can pick sets with the level you want to buy. If you get stuck on a puzzle, you can press on a ship in the legend at the bottom of the screen to get a clue.
We really like it, it is definitely challenging, but confidence building when you finally solve the hard puzzles.
When we have a few moments, its fun to open this and solve a puzzle or two. Nice break from the day and it can be as challenging or easy as Id like.
Enjoy this puzzle game. We reset everything once in a while to try to beat our own time. Like that Im not bombarded to purchase things.
Easy to use and always engaging.
We like the hidden ships games. This app gives you a "draft" option for trying to figure out squares without looking at the answer.
Highly addictive with a great interface.
Needs to be harder but still fun.
Edit 26 July 2020: Been playing for awhile and we pretty much have this one mastered. The Hard level ones still involve a lot of thought. We havent grown tired of these. Im getting better and better at this one, but am still needing a little help with strategy. Luckily the game gives you that help, but we wish we didnt need it.
Simple concept, good logic puzzle.
If you are like us and enjoy brain puzzles that can push an adult brain, then this is a great game to check out. Its our waiting room go-to.
Good app. Super basic but great that it has no ads.
It was ok to play, until we discovered that not all puzzles have a unique solution. That takes the fun out of it for us. Not as good as Conceptis other puzzles.
More words to fill this up because we fo really enjoy these games.
Appqq564785234 conceptis is realy a very amazing company, and has shared us so many logic puzzle apps, thanks very much. Also welcome to join our QQ puzzle group 564785234.
Recently discovered Battleship & got addicted, wanted to play on our phone. Downloaded all the apps, and this is by far the best! Clean interface, easy to understand graphics. We only wish there was a way to restart multiple boards all at once because we find ourselves playing again and again.
Sea Battle is a fantastic way to kill some time. Once you learn the rules, it plays very quick. Any amount of downtime is short enough to fit a puzzle in.
Its real nice. Improvement would be in color.
Been a member of the conceptis website for 10 years now. We love that MOST of their games are now portable and yet still offer a challenge.
Dont hesitate to buy this app.
The developer told us all puzzles can be solved logically, so we decided to try again. It took a few tries to figure the logic out, but we did. Fun game, easy to understand how to fill in the grid with the correct symbols. Moving on to the medium puzzles.
We play several other Conceptis games – Nurikabe, Hashi, Tic-Tac-Logic – and we believe they can all be solved by logic alone, as claimed. But with Sea Battle we are not so sure. At any level above easy, a brute-force guessing strategy must be employed as far as we can tell. So, while the interface here is flawless as usual, this is our least favorite Conceptis game so far.
Felt like there werent enough clues to logically solve without guessing.
First, the gameplay, design and interface are perfection. We started on these puzzles on paper and it really couldnt be a better implementation. Bravo! But within a few dozen games you are squarely into the guessing game, which is not the point or the joy of this game. Buy 50 more difficult games, its the exact same game: 3 or four filled squares. Once these are played out, then you start the process of guessing which of the 2-4 places the big ship can go. NO LOGIC! The beauty of this game, at least on paper, was that if you cant figure out what to do next, YOU are missing something! And the starting games come in a wide variety. If the devs could at least offer logic packs of games, it would be nice. But they are much more difficult to generate. Other apps and online and paper versions do it, so it is possible. Devs? Thoughts? Thanks.
If you like this game, as we do, you'll be very pleased with how simply it's set up here. Some of these Battleship apps are just plain difficult to use; the interface can be more of a puzzle than the actual game. Not here! You jump right into play, without having to think about anything but the game itself. Difficulty progresses at a reasonable rate; lots of fun.
Easy to hard levels. Better features than other games we have played like this.
Sharpens your logical thinking.it can be addictive.
We really like it, for all our conceptis puzzles ive done all the free puzzles available and have gone and redone them, so mostly we do our puzzles once a week when the new weekly ones come out each friday, and the hashi and slitherlink puzzles are great but the seabattle ones dont vary in difficulty very much and are more often than not much too easy.
This company makes the best puzzles.
This is a fun puzzle game that makes us think.
