Hard times have come for the good-willed Caribbean governor, Sir Francis, as the creditors are knocking on his door. Marrying off profitably his own daughter Catherine seems like the only way to pay his debts.
Not too keen on the prospect of an arranged marriage, the resolute girl decides to take the matters in her own hands and save her family without forsaking her independence. To this end, she will use her father’s docks to start a profitable boatbuilding business in Port Royale – the most important city in the whole Caribbean!
The entrepreneurial protagonist will need to recruit workers, expand shipyards, repair and upgrade ships, race against the clock, buy, sell and face the competition!
As if all that weren’t enough, Catherine will be forced to deal with a particularly difficult customer – the menacing pirate king who will eventually become her mortal enemy and the main obstacle on the road to success.
Will the protagonist manage to create her fortune and secure her family’s future against all odds?

It is the kind of game we loved play.
With patience, practice and concentration we are enjoying this little,gem quite a lot! In the very beginning we wasn't quite so charmed by it, yet it certainly grew on be and recently it's been sort of addictive. If you are a gamer that doesn't need a whole lot of hand holding and bells and whistles you will especially appreciate the talent that went into developing this game. Anchors aweigh and have fun…. You can't beat the price even if you can beat the game itself! !:}.
We played this game for around 3 weeks. Finally ended up finishing everything but the place called Pirates Nest never unlocked. Its just sitting there as a destination on the map, but … We tried every possible thing.
We have so many, many apps which are no longer playable because they need to be updated to work well or at all. This one at least runs, but many actions cause the game to shut down. This plus 149 other apps.
We had rated the game higher but downgraded it to a two star when nobody from Artifex Mundi ever got back to anyone who had questions about the game. We suppose they have so many games out there that they no longer care about customer service. We have been guilty of buying their too expensive games in the past but never again.
We really like this game, however, at the first segment of Witch Island, it does not keep track of the progress with ships, so you cannot move past the first segment. There is no way to manually move past it. We have reloaded the software and started over four times and each time get stuck at the same place. Please, please, fix this and send out an update. We had a similar experience with the garden games, but with reloading was able to eventually finish. Having to start over and rework our way through the entire game multiples of times was vexing.
This is one of the few games that we've elected to purchase. We've downloaded 100's of games for free that provided hours of entertainment. This game was a huge disappointment as the levels end abruptly.
Great game but needs more levels pls.
Locks up on Deserted Island Level 1. Can't upgrade ships.
